Pharma Vaporizer Brings Big Billionaire Names
Gates and Bloomberg
"Donating money to anti-vaping efforts while simultaneously investing in a pharmaceutical grade smoking cessation “vaporizer” that is completely in its own category – Pharma – could appear suspicious. Hale won’t need PMTA approval, because it will not be a tobacco product, but will require FDA approval as a drug."
As e-cigarettes come under fire, Hava Health readies a vape pen to help people quit smoking
By contrast, Hava Health is pitching a smoking cessation tool. “We have a patented design,” says Israel. “What we do is we separate nicotine from the other compounds. We reduce the nicotine as we leave the other oils the same. Over time we reduce the nicotine and increase the clean oils and we get them to zero percent.”
Reduce nicotine percentage downward. Umm, I think we've been doing that already with open system vaping. I bet it won't be as cheap as my diy.

I have not seen this on the Forum before - did I miss it ?

Pharma Vaporizer Brings Big BILLIONAIRE Names
some quotes from the article...
Hava Health is about to launch Hale – what Tech Crunch referred to as “the first vaporizer designed for smoking cessation"
Hale claims to be different because it will be the first device that uses “4 Pharmaceutical grade ingredients” for “two different oil formulations.”
Hava Health has some big-named backers that include: Village Global, Backstage Capital, Hardware Massive and other angel investors on their website.
One name that stands out listed as part of The Network on Village Global website is none other than Mike Bloomberg. The same Bloomberg who donated $160 million to anti-vaping efforts in New York, as reported by New York Times.
Another is Bill Gates. Both Bloomberg and Gates have donated heavily to the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids (CTFK) and the CDC Foundation. CTFK has been notoriously anti-vape–they were one of the parties that successfully sued the FDA, claiming officials did not have the authority to extend regulatory deadlines for the vapor industry. The CDC Foundation has been previously investigated for allegedly allowing private donations to influence CDC policies, as reported by Roll Call and The Times of India.
So...yea, there is a definite personal interest for Bloomberg to kill vaping - he is INVESTED in a pharma device !!

Hava - Quit Nicotine
Holy cow - Evil abounds...PURE EVIL !!
I just got an email from Web MD (I get them on various topics almost daily) dealing with smoking cessation. While the main article didn't mention e-cigarettes, there was a link to another article at the bottom of the page which did:
E-Cigarettes: Health and Safety Issues
Seemed fairly reasonable to me.
Vape-Related Deaths Are Scaring People Back into Smoking Cigs
Mark, a Massachusetts man who has worked at a vape shop for two years and requested anonymity for fear of losing business, said he had heard from many customers in recent days that they were making the transition—getting rid of nicotine-based e-cigarettes because of what they've been seeing in the media.
Although any shift was in the earliest of stages, it was still a remarkable concern for tobacco-control experts like Michael Siegel, a professor of community health sciences at Boston University, who views getting smokers off traditional cigarettes to be the primary public-health matter. Even now.
"There are two big fears here," Siegel said. "That former smokers are going to return to smoking cigarettes, because they'll think, Why not just have the real thing? And also that smokers who might have otherwise wanted to try e-cigarettes won't any longer."

What hast thou wrought?
I "successfully" quit vaping for 2 month. It actually wasn't that bad, I was able to fill the void with music/gum/walks. Right now I have 0 physical temptation to vape.
But there has been many stressful situations and I feel without the vape it made everything harder. To me, it's not that I had to have it, but it was something enjoyed. And taking it away made life a little less fun. It's like saying you can never eat candy or drink coffee again.
The only reason I quit was for the health benefits. I heard vaping can cause COPD but then I also hear it's a lot less harmful than smoking. But here's the thing that really demotivates one from quitting vaping:
We are not sure how harmful is it (if at all)
There are many other things bad for us in life, like air pollution, asbestos, etc. Is it worth giving up something that you enjoy for a marginal health benefit? I vape at a low wattage so I don't think I'm getting lots of formaldehydes.
I'm really thinking about going back to vaping. I think I'll vape a few more years and if news comes out by then that vaping is truly really bad, then I'll quit...
I don't know... it's not like we are going to live forever even if we don't vape/smoke/do anything unhealthy...
Howdy there, I'm a beginning vaper and would like to share my first experiences with vaping. After smoking 25 cigarettes a day at minimum for 8 years.
Yesterday my first vape arrived. I currently own the MyBlu purely for testing vaping. So far I enjoy it alot. And have not had any temptations to pick up some cigarettes.
I use a 18mg/ml pod. It's practically impossible to overdose with these, as each pod contains a max of 27mg of nicotine. Basically requiring me to vape a whole pod to overdose. (At once), knowing this comforted me with vaping.
The flavours I've tried so far a
European Roasted Tabacco - 7.5/10
American Tabacco - 9.5/10
Menthol - 6.5/10
For any person who is looking to pick up a vape in order to quit smoking, go for it.
Any comments or first experiences can be shared in the comments I will try my best to reply.
I recently purchased an authentic Billet Box that I luv, luv, luv.
A young guy, new vaper, that works with my husband really liked it and wanted to order one. For what ever reason (price, availability ....) he decided to buy a clone from China. Now he's having to jump through hoops to get it because the vendor listed it as a "Smoking Cessation Device" on the customs forms. Is that common?
I had no problem at all receiving my Billet Box, surely because it said 'Billet Box' on the customs forms. I don't understand why a Chinese company would even think to list their products that way. They can't possibly know if people plan to quit smoking with them. Yes many do, but there are lots who don't also.
Hopefully he'll get it eventually but what a hassle, for nothing.
So this is a hypothetical Question... And I by no means wanna start a flame war.... or anything like that.
I just have a hypothetical for you guys who I have seen claiming they only Vape where they could smoke people. ( I am not taking sides here, as I usually only vape where I can smoke, but make some exceptions that I wont get in to here, as, Again, Not posting to cause trouble.)
I know a lot of users are Western world people but, there are some users that are international as well, such as me.
Lets say you really want a Vape, and your in, (Most common) An international Airport or something on your ridiculously long daytime layover, Or you ended up in the airport really early... or.. we could also say your in an amusement park or something.
Your options.
Vape in places where you cant smoke, such as inside the airport, or in a random place in the amusement park...(Maybe by stealth vaping)
Or go in to the often crowded 1x3 meter (If that), poorly ventalated Smokers room where all the others are smoking, and endure the noxious smell of various types of cigarettes stick to you, as you breath in air that is more toxic than car exhaust.
Not all people have the same conditions. a lot of places have rules that you are not allowed to smoke outside.
Do you still only vape where you can smoke, Thereby nullifying some of the health benefits of Vaping? Or does health play a more important role than the rules and perception.
Again, I am not trying to play a side here, or start a flaming war (Ill probably just ask the thread be deleted if it turns to that)
I am just wondering if your mind would be changed if you lived in a different situation and why?

I haven't come across any studies or polls that determine how important flavors are/were to help vapers to quit smoking and remain off cigarettes.
This video is a fantastic testimony on how important flavors are in vaping. It's in an MP4 format, so the link looks funny, but its safe to click on. Mark_Slis-Michigan_Testimony-2019-09-12.mp4
He shares that 99% of his customers choose a fruit or desert flavor. An 87 year old grandmother chose "Fruity COPYRIGHTDMCA Cereal". Yes, older people like flavors and demand "kid flavors".
Why You Don't Need an E-Liquid that Tastes Like Cigarettes
So I'm asking everyone in this community to voice their opinion on how important flavors were to get you off of cigarettes when you began vaping, and how important are they to you today to keep you from returning back to smoking? Will you be able to use just "tobacco" flavors if the FDA bans flavors?
