Reviewers Are Starting To Panic

We all know it's coming... possibly the end of vaping as we know it. This guy is loud, in your face, too much to stand sometimes, but does lots of reviews and now he's telling it the way it is and "in yo face"...

For me personally, this is a tricky time (I'm super low budget) I can't afford to stock up, but at the same time, prices are dropping and sales everywhere (so I might stand a chance after all) And yes, this all sucks!

Rip Usps

Apparently the postal service is badly broken. Sorry for online vendors. A few years ago most of us here were dependent on online vendors, but no more. B&M's are even coming to my remote area and I'm starting to see my first vapers in the wild.

Time to support my local merchants. Talk face to face instead of getting ignored emails.

Analogs Are Revolting Now

Figured this experience is worth sharing. On Sunday I slept way too late and left for work in a hurry, leaving my e-cig at home. Considered fetching myself a disposable from the gas station but I wouldn't have been able to stop there and clock in time. So I caved to my urge for nicotine and bummed a cigarette off someone while on break.

At the time it satisfied me. I didn't enjoy it a bit but it quelled my nic sickness. Although what I found horrible is the fact that even having one, I still could smell it under my nose. I washed my face and took a shower later that day and it was still there, the smell was horrible.

Always thought without the chance for e-cigs I'd go straight back to the smokes but now I don't even think I could ever stand to have one again.

Coil Making Is Keeping Me Fit

I was starting to get a little worried that this obsession with vaping and sitting here reading and studying and searching online for the necessary supplies was making me much more sedentary than I would like. However I realised this evening that coil making is keeping me fit. I keep dropping these minute parts which, on our tiles floors, have a habit of rolling under furniture and disappearing off the face of the earth. So there I am, several times a day, on my hands and knees, face down on the floor looking for these fricking bits and bobs. LOL that's more exercise than I've done in years.

My Wife Says My Vaping "stinks."

Anyone else have this problem? Maybe it's my choice of juices (I'm still into the tobacco type of vapes, slowly moving into other flavors), but my wife can't stand the smell. And she's a smoker!
Personally, I know I can't smell much of anything, and I have had people at work tell me that some vapes smell "delicious." I just don't get it.

Musing-my Thoughts On What's To Come-or Not

I do realize that when the hammer comes down it isn't going to come down from a federal level because of the few that choose to make a game of vaping. I realize that it is all about the money they are losing because we have found a way to put the smokes behind us and hopefully a way to keep anyone else from EVER picking up the habit of smoking. Their ONLY concern is lost revenue.

The taxes and/or restrictions are coming, Of that, I have no doubt. We have to do whatever we can to keep them from taxing/restricting us into oblivion.

When the smoking restrictions started it didn't start from the federal level. It started very small and grew into what we have today. It started in small towns, grew to counties and then to states and finally to just about everywhere.

Businesses were no longer allowed to choose how they would handle smoking/no smoking. It became law and they were forced to abide by that law or close their doors.

It happened so slowly that most of us didn't see it coming. We were the frog in the pot of water slowly being brought to a boil. Hopefully we are more aware this time.

Those that make a game of it will have an impact on how vaping is viewed by those that don't understand or even care what vaping is all about. I don't like it but there it is.

I am talking about at a local level. A local busybody, someone that has nothing better to do at the moment, sees something she/he doesn't understand so doesn't approve of. I'm not saying it is right but, let's face it, it happens way to often in every small town in America and sadly, around the world.

Ever hear the term, squeaky wheel gets the grease. Well, that busybody is the squeaky wheel. Every town has at least one and that person has the ear of the "powers that be" in that small town. That person manages to get the "powers that be" to force businesses in that small town to put up signs "No Vaping Allowed" just to appease that busy body. It is not right but it happens every day.

This scenario is being played out in hundreds of thousands of small towns all over the world.

When I joined this forum it was all about helping your fellow vaper. I still see some of that but sadly, I also see so much infighting. We have to work together if we are going to preserve this healthier alternative to smoking for not only ourselves but also for future generations.

The bottom line is. We have to find a way to stand together or we will end up regulated into oblivion. Please think before bashing those that see the writing on the wall. One of the best things one can do is join CASAA so that you may keep up with what is actually happening and then answer those calls to action. If we don't stand up for our rights we WILL lose them.

Please don't let that local busybody win in the end. Thank you for reading my thoughts.

Can You Share Your Whole Tobacco Alkaloid Success Stories?

Hey everyone. Ignore my "days without a cigarette" ticker if it's still there; I haven't been back here in a while, and I'm going to reset it. Edit, 11/2/14: I reset it starting today. I vaped most of yesterday, but had a few cigarettes in the morning so I'm not counting it.

Long post ahead; if you want me to get to the point, scroll down to TL; DR: at the bottom.

I joined the forums almost a year ago, when I first got back into vaping, after the technology improved from my earliest attempt.

Without getting into too many details, I was gung ho, but failed at becoming a full-time vaper. I had a few periods of just vaping, the longest being a month, but mostly I've been a dual user or just plain smoker.

I had high hopes; I upgraded from my Evod kits to a Provari 2.5 with Nautilus tanks as a gift to myself as my quit date approached. I spontaneously decided that when I got the Provari and the tanks at the same time that I'd quit on the spot. I had plenty of juices that I liked the flavor of.

...But it didn't take. A low-level sense of panic-almost like a feeling of drowning which I felt in the back of my throat- would creep over me at certain points, and I knew that the only thing that would make it go away was an analog. With a limited budget, I started spending more and more of it on cigarettes.

I had heard of WTA, but I couldn't risk the money on something else that might go to waste. I couldn't risk sacrificing my budget and not having something to satisfy my demon- and for the longest time that meant a real cigarette. Withdrawal is utter Hell for me, a 2 PAD smoker. I can't concentrate, I'm irritable, and I don't even like myself. That's kind of a digression, though.

Fast forward to now. I had planned to go to a Native American reservation in my old home state to buy about 6 months worth of cigarettes (they're $2 a pack there). The trip would have cost about $600 all told. We had some unexpected expenses the day before my trip, and suddenly I was faced with a budget of $230- which meant I could either afford gas to get there, or some of the cigarettes at that price (if I could learn to teleport). The trip was off. There's no way to make my budget stretch as long as it needs to buying locally, even though premium cigarette prices are lower here than they are where I came from.

My lizard brain was going crazy at the prospect of the pain to come, until I remembered WTAs. I did some research, and things started looking better. Ultimately, I want to be a full time vaper, and if something can give me the missing link, I have to take the chance. I decided to go for it.

I ordered some flavorless DIY WTA, G.I. Joe, and Sahara from Aroma E-liquid, along with 2 more Nautilus tanks and a bunch of coils.

I really, really hope this works. I have no other prospects.

TL; DR: Sorry for the long explanation, but can any of you post your success stories of WTA, and how they finally helped you stop craving analogs, or made you enjoy vaping more? Feel free to really exaggerate. ;D I want to get as psyched as possible as I wait for my vape mail. Thanks in advance.

Love That Crackle!

Does anyone else get a big sloppy grin on their face when their vape gives a nice loud crackle as you pull from it?

It gets me every time and even better than a good buzz

Copd And Vaping

I am a long time member of this forum,i have been here for 12 years.I have been vaping before i found this place, yep over 12 years of vaping under my belt.I just turned 69 years old and had to call an ambulance for bad knees etc could not stand up,(sucks getting old),,SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO,i get to the hospital, doctor found out i vaped and made a HUGE issue out if it,He told me i had COPD and if i even got the flu i could die,,,,I told him that last march i had type B influenza, did not take the pills they gave me and i got through the flu just fine.lmao
He wanted to make a point and to make an example out of me,(DOH),i said FINE FOOL,lol
He sent me to do the chamber COPD test, that is the standard test for COPD,Little does this clown know that for the last 20 years i have worked with severely handicapped children, and have fought with STUPID doctors that i know where screwing up on kids,I was studying to get a PHD in psychology and one of my hobbies was neuropsychology and have diagnosed dying children on their deathbed when the doctors gave up all hope,You have no idea on how painful it is to stand there when a man of god is giving a child his last rights.Long story short i have never misdiagnosed a single child or lost one in the last 20 years,I have gained the respect of one of the top neurosurgeons in America.I went to war with him 4 times and was correct every single time,he finally gave up,walked up to me and told me,"No child will ever leave this hospital again unless you say so.He said I dont know how you do what the hell you do.you never look at an xray,MRI a CT scan,,,,,,but you are always correct. We are friends now,he knows me as the "BULLRIDER FROM WYOMING"..i made that bull.... story up to cover my ... for the bull riding tatoo on my arm,he fell for it,lol,i have never been near a damned bull in my whole life,,,,lol.
The reason i am telling you guys my knowledge is i think the FDA is full of crap and this bull of congress etc is ONE BIG LIE!!
Like i said,i am 69 years old i chain smoked for years, found vaping 12 years ago was able to stop smoking in two days due to vaping.Recent chest xray CLEAR AS A BELL,NO COPD,nothing!,,,i dont blow clouds,i vape at 15 watts,.15 nic, mix my own juice,i go light on the flavor...i am good to go and i vape all day long well into the night.

So let me be an example of someone who has vaped for years.with no negative health effects. The doctor was working overtime to find something wrong with me so he could blame vaping,he suffered one huge FAIL,,,!!!,Dont buy into what politicians try to sell you,,IT IS ALL ABOUT BIG TOBACCO AND MONEY,!!

Vape Shops Suing To Lift Bans. Why?

I mean I know why and I am right there with them opposing it. I am glad that many have prevailed (at least for now). When I say "why?" I mean that if I were a vape shop owner, I would be looking to liquidate all of my inventory long before May 2020, because at that point my shop will only have 3 or 4 disposable, non-refillable, over taxed pieces of junk to offer with just 2 flavors (tobacco and possibly menthol).

Are they just ignoring the writing on the wall or are they oblivious?

I mean obviously, for some, the bans came out of nowhere and they did not have time to liquidate, and maybe the legal fees were not over-the-top... but from this point on I would be looking at May if I were them and I would get out while I still can (or I would have already done so by now). As sad as it is, I just know that there are going to be all kinds of fantastic sales in April and early May.

Come May 2020, odds are that there will no longer be any vape shops in the US and it looks like online sales will be a thing of the past with the exception of from out of the country (if they will even ship here) and then you're taking the chance of it being confiscated by the FDA.

Why Do Reviewers Say "let's Take It Back Up Top..."?

Just curious... must be some kind of tradition. Vape reviewers always say "let's take it down and do a build" then "let's take it up top and vape it" Do they all actually have a basement or is this a throwback to the "old days"?
