My son told me his GF's daughter was telling everyone at school how "Gumpy" (me... my first grand daughter gave me that name) had all these wonderful tasting vape juices and even makes his own. He warned me not to talk about vape around her (she is 6) I feel like some kind of criminal and now have to be careful about saying anything vape related. Her mother (son's GF and mother of my other two grandchildren) was very upset with me. Anyone else have a similar story? How do you all feel about this? We are never going to beat this bad rap.
Today is my 3rd day since I last vaped and while the cravings are not as strong as trying to quit cigs, I definitely feel something is missing from my life. You know what I'm talking about.
I'm sure I can last weeks with will power but it's not so much the withdrawal symptoms or any adverse effect, but more of "gee a vape would be nice about now" that really makes this psychologically challenging.
I'm kind of debating whether I should continue. Does it get easier as time goes on? At least with cigs you know it's bad for you but with vape being "safer" the motivation to quit drops dramatically. If it's not going to get any easier than I'm not sure if it's worth the tradeoff...
Our daughter said that she found a vape in her 13-year old daugher's room. I can hear it now: "Well PopPop vapes." If it had been cigarettes, it would be "Well mom, you smoke." I don't know who she would have blamed if it was alcohol.
You hate to play the Age Card with teenagers, but sometimes that's all you got.
So, I was traveling for work today, and I had to stop at a gas station to grab a drink and use the restroom. As I was checking out, I overheard one of the other customers asking the clerk if he had any vapes. The clerk told the customer they only had the Vuze e-cigs. The customer was bummed out because he had forgotten his setup on the counter of a vape shop in Sacramento, which he was sure was gone by now, saying "Those things aren't cheap," and I told them I know all about it, lol. He was waiting for some food he ordered to be ready, so I went ahead and made my purchases and went outside to take a vape break. When he came out, he lit up a cigarette, having succumb to the urge and the not having a vape. We got to talking, and he told me that he was a veteran, having been discharged after his Humvee was blown up by an IED, leaving him with a TBI - Traumatic Brain Injury. He has a hard time remembering things, and that was part of the reason he left his vape behind. He told me he was using a mechanical (I deduced that after he told me it was a metal tube with a button on the bottom) with a cheap clearo that had a very tight draw. He didn't really know much about vaping, he just knew that it had help him go a month without smoking. I showed him my setup - a Smok Xpro M80 Plus with an Artic tank using the .2 ohm coil, filled with Vape Wild's King Cake at 65/35 VG/PG 3mg nic - and he was pretty impressed. I let him try it out, and he was just blown away by it. He really enjoyed how well it hit, how much he could taste it, and how much vapor it produced, saying he could really feel the nicotine, even at 3mg. He told me a guy at the vape shop he goes to gave him a box mod, and he showed it to me, a simple unregulated box mod - an 18650 Hammond box with a missing back, no MOSFET, no nothing. I told him he should get a couple batteries and find a back to go on his box, even told him I would be on the lookout for one. I also gave him one of my drippers, a TOBH Atty clone, and told him about coil building, and how drippers work. I also gave him a couple bottles of Vape Wild's Dragon Juice 3mg, 65/35. The last nice thing I did was to tell him about this place, telling him that everyone here is more than happy to help answer any questions he might have, and to give him some advice. Anyway, just wanted to tell you guys a little about my moment of Vape It Forward tonight. Hopefully he ends up showing up here someday. Support the troops, guys and girls, they need it.
'Breath is precious': The daughter of a woman who died from vaping speaks out
This article is ridiculous. The daughter blames e-cigarettes even though she admits her mother used illegal thc carts.
Hi all. I've been having a really rough few months and need some advice. Long story short, lost my job last month due to covid after having hours cut 5 months before that, wasn't able to keep paying for our old place, so we had to move to a new apartment. I paid a neighbor to help me move since my wife is pregnant and is unable to lift much, and his son stole all my vape stuff besides 4 batteries and my charger. Every other vape related item I owned was in that box. I am now left searching for replacements with very little cash to spend. I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction as to where I can find a decent mod and atomizer for a small price. I would prefer an 18650 squonk setup if possible, but any tips would be greatly appreciated. I am also in need of low cost juice, so if anybody knows a good place for me to go it would really help me. I got a cigarette from my neighbor today and smoked it after promising my daughter I was done smoking, and feel terrible about it and need to find something quickly. Thank you in advance.
There is a local vapor cafe I visit 3-4 times a week to hang out, work, and attend events they have. They also serve coffee so it's perfect to just hang out, work, and vape without being judged. It's also nice to meet the people here that have the similar love in vaping.
As I sit here, for some reason I feel this internal rage come over me when there are children in here. As I look toward the front of the cafe from the back, there is a cloud of vapor in the air. In that cloud of vapor, there is a child whom cannot be more then 4 to 5 years of age. As a father of a 4 year old daughter, I couldn't fathom bringing her in here. I don't even vape around her as I have to believe the vapor emitted into the air must have some trace of nicotine in it.
Am I wrong in feeling this way? This is the second time I've seen a child in here and it bothers me. I am getting to know the owners so I will mention something to them in due time, but has anyone else experienced this?
Franklin County mother sues JUUL, vape shop over twin daughters alleged addiction to vaping
A Franklin County mother is suing e-cigarette manufacturer JUUL Labs, a Hilliard vape shop and its owners – alleging that her twin daughters became addicted to vaping through JUUL’s online marketing campaigns. The lawsuit also alleges that the Hilliard Smoke House allowed the girls to purchase the product with ease – despite being underage.
Nasty development. Vape shops can't afford expensive lawyers.
This made me laugh, figured I'd share.
Yesterday, my 4 year old daughter and I walk out the door to go to (her) school. The whole yard was filled with a low hanging fog. She says, "Wow, Daddy, you vaped so much yesterday you made the whole world foggy!"
Obviously she knows it wasn't me and was just goofing around, but I still thought it was pretty quick witted for a pre schooler
Maybe going to shoot myself in the foot for not just starting this but...I wonder how hard it would be to create a clone of youtube strictly for vape related stuff. There's a YouTuber that did the same thing for "other" things and I believe it took off.
Since they are smashing people down on YouTube for vape stuff, why not start a new one?
PS - Not familiar with website design
First off, let me start by saying that I do understand that this is the complete opposite of the reason for which to start vaping and that I do understand that nicotine is bad for you. I'm wondering if anyone here has heard of or has had a similar situation to me.
I initially started vaping as a way to just relax and do smoke tricks without having to use a hookah. I used 0 nic juices and enjoyed the convenience of having a vape. It also gave me a cleaner solution than bumming cigarettes when I was drunk. (I always want to smoke when I'm drunk for some reason. I can't find an explanation for that) Eventually, I moved on to using 6mg (still there today) juices to utilize the nicotine to help stay awake and focus on school work (I know I sound crazy, but it is a scientifically proven result of nicotine usage) in addition to the aforementioned usages.
It might be worth noting that I do not feel addicted and have gone through many perfectly normal days without using my vape at all.
So essentially, instead of stepping down like a traditional smoker, I stepped up. Has anyone ever heard of anyone doing something like this? Just curious.
