Are you UK based? Professor Riccardo Polosa has put together a quick survey on vaping habits during the lockdown period that will help his team form important future research on vaping. It will take you just a moment to complete, and will provide researchers with much needed data as they begin to consider how our society is dealing with the ‘new normal'. If you can spare 2 minutes please take the survey and share! Survey - Cuts Ice
COVID-19 Survey, July 2020
COVID-19 Survey, July 2020
Nothing is known about the effects of vaping on the probability of contracting Covid-19, and on its effects on the severity of illness. We are trying to collect information on this, so that vapers can receive appropriate advice.
If you could fill in this brief questionnaire, it would be much appreciated. The more vapers will respond, the more useful the survey will be. We will let you know the survey results.
Important: We are inviting all vapers to fill in the form, not just those who had the infection. Please fill in the form, whether you had the infection or not.
By filling in the form, you are consenting to participate in this study. To view the participant information sheet, please click he

Marijuana use for college students at 35-year high, University of Michigan study shows
By Martin Slagter | mslagter@mlive.com
ANN ARBOR, MI - Marijuana use among college students reached a 35-year high in 2018, according to the University of Michigan’s annual Monitoring the Future national survey.
...
The study also indicated a significant increase in vaping marijuana between 2017 - increasing from 10.7% in 2017 to 20.2% in 2018. The 9.4% increase was among the greatest one-year increases for any substance since the Monitoring the Future Panel began more than 40 years ago.
There also was a significant increase in the 30-day prevalence of vaping marijuana among college students, which increased from 5.2% to 10.9% from 2017 to 2018, representing one of the largest one-year proportional increases for any substance over the past four decades.
Vaping nicotine also increased significantly across all ages groups, as well, from 2017 to 2018. The 30-day prevalence of vaping was up among eighth graders (3.5% to 6.1%); 10th graders (8.2% to 16.1%); 11% to 20.9% for 12th graders; 6.1% to 15.5% for college students and 6.5% to 10.6% for all young adults.
The increase among college students was among the greatest one-year increases the survey has seen in the past 40 years.

Herro ECF!
I am writing a 20 page research paper for a class at my school. I was hoping you guys might be able to help me out with finding credible sources/studies with references either for or against (if there is anything credible against it) Vaping. Health studies, behavioral studies, whatever you have. I think I've heard things about Dr. F? Obviously, my argument will be for Vaping but I need both sides as a requirement for the paper. I'm not asking you to do research for me, but if you have good studies bookmarked for quick access please share! Thanks for any help you all might provide and I will be sure to post the final paper when it's done.

I have been using 9-10ml of juice a day as I have nothing to do all day while vaping is what I enjoy.I couldn’t sleep if I didn’t satisfy my vaping needs,I mean right before I sleep, vaping would most probably be the last thing I do and then I drink a cup of water. The thing is,when I wake up my throat is extremely dry, which has been for the past week.Today I felt some phlegm in my throat(it’s been two month since I last felt sick).I am not worried for the short term,I am just thinking if my throat is always dry, when I wake up,would I develop throat cancer in the future?
I hope I can get back to work and keep myself busy so that I am not chain vaping...
Well, over the time all changes, even the beloved habits and hobbies, so is vaping, I do remember when I did started, a bit confused, a bit scared and with some doubts, then enjoyed a lot RDA’s, rolls, making coils and all those new things that changed out the habit… for example to switch the cigarettes pack and light on your pocket for a vape mod and maybe a juice bottle too,
so at the beginning I did used some sub-ohm tanks, then moved to RBA’s…. oh boy, the RDA’s, the coiling art and wicking, what a times on some stores, talking, vaping having great times!
Then, the need of more liquid, the hassle of dripping and there were no squonks available… so, decided to try RTA’s, oh what a wonderful land, tank capacity and dripper alike sensation, draw, flavor and vapor production..
Then… maybe a bit late, started using more mtl rta and pods, the vaping sensation changed a lot, I was maybe using 120ml per week on RTA’s and seldom a RDA, the liquid consumption reduced that much that I maybe use 10ml per day, 25max on a hard stressful day, the salt nic consumption raised when started using salts on TC mode with a RTA mtl and single battery mod,
How have your vaping habits and hobby changed, has It been affected by new devices and new trends?
Regards,
Here's an interesting read... and their analysis of the data the FDA used makes sense.
In the new study, University College London health psychologist Martin Jarvis and his co-authors argue that a closer look at the survey data suggests the FDA exaggerated the threat posed by adolescent e-cigarette use.

The FDA Plans To Ban Flavored E-Cigarettes Based on a Nonexistent 'Epidemic' of Adolescent Nicotine Addiction
For a start, I wasn't a heavy smoker. The farthest I've gotten is seven sticks a day.
Started vaping once with some eGo CE4/5's, it's not a good clearo so it went back to lighting up again.
Gotten some Vivi Novas, chain vaping for say, a month? Alternating between analogues, around a stick or two a day, then the battery got fried.
Went back to analogues again, picked up some mechmods, survive on alternating smoking/vaping for a bit.
Been busy for a bit and vaping just for nic fix, got into DIY to cut cost.
Found out it's habits, and gotten used getting nic fix by vaping.
Now resensitized to tobacco like before I even smoked, felt like vomitting like the first time.
Dependence on nicottine is dropping.
Ok I'm hoping I don't get heat for these questions/statements but educating ones self especially with something that is still very new is important to me.
1. Read some articles on how there is second hand vape similar to cigarettes (99% better mind you) what are your thoughts? Vaping may not be as safe as smokers think, research suggests | Society | The Guardian
2. Formaldehyde found in builds running at high watts/voltage? But 0% at low/normal builds, what i can't seem to find is whats considered to high for a Mechanical Mod or even for a V/W, V/V Setup? My normal build for a mech mod is twisted single coil 24 gauge 6-7 wraps, usually gets about 0.28 ohms and single coil 8 wraps of 24 gauge puts out 0.73 ohms on my flavor builds.
