I have been vaping since December 28th, 2009. The problem is that when I find something I like and that works for me, I tend not to keep up to date with the new fangled contraptions. For example, I vaped with a joyetech evod battery for over 6 years, until I found a battery that could be plugged in the bottom while I used it. I used that battery up until about 2 years ago when I decided to branch out and I tried the Joyetech Cubis Max. Yes, it had it faults, and I constantly had to carry tissues with me because it leaked around the top. However, I was fine with this because I really enjoyed the flavor, and the kanthal wires were cheap (roughly $1 for 4 days use). But now I cannot find those parts anywhere.
Basically what I am needing: I like to vape around 18.5 wattage. I also need the upkeep to be inexpensive. I am on a very fixed income (783/mo). I would prefer the system to be easy to use. I did try to the cubis pro system and could not figure out how to cut the cotton and fit it around the atomizer, if this indicates my level of technical knowhow.
anyway, thank you for advance,
Autumn
Hi, folks. I've been vaping since 2009 and certainly went through years of trying new devices (Anybody remember the Screwdriver?) But I stopped keeping up with new products and technology once I found a set-up that worked for me.
I use an original Aspire Nautilus 5ml tank with BVC 1.8 or 1.6 coils and flavorless liquid that I mix myself. I've been powering the tank with variable voltage batteries such as the Spinner 2 or, more recently, the Kangor Evod VV 1600 mah. Both the tanks and those batteries have become increasingly harder to find.
Have to say, after the Screwdriver, I was never interested in getting another device with an external battery. But as we all prepare for the (senseless) demise of the on-line vaping industry, I've been trying to quickly learn about regulated mods. I need something safe and reliable that will take an external rechargeable 18650 battery and will also fit my Nautilus tank.
I know the technology has advanced light years. Frankly, all the info out there is pretty overwhelming.
I don't need a lot of power or tons of vapor. I tend to stay between 3.2-3.4 volts with the airflow on the tank wide open. I'm most concerned about quality since buying mistakes will soon be harder to remedy. (Some of the worst products I've purchased-- with the highest price tags-- were from local vape shops.)
Any suggestions for an APV from folks who also use the larger Aspire tank?
Thanks.
Hello Everyone,
Been looking for my favorite vape the Joyetech AIO D22 pen. All the sites say they are either out of stock or discontinued. Does anyone knows why and if they are coming back? After all these years would hate to have to find a new vaping device.
Enjoy PaulCincy.
Some of you may be familiar with the problems I've encountered the past couple of months trying to find a vaping unit that works well for me. I think my problems are solved. I've been using a Joyetech Egrip for two days and I'm thrilled and delighted. No tanks to fool with, it's built in. It gives a wonderful smooth hit. It's 20 watts and you can actually vape at full 20 without worrying if your coil is going to fry. You have to use the replacement coils, 1.5, designed by Joyetech, can't use generics. It holds almost 4 ml of juice so you can fill er up and you're good for the day. I could go on and on, but suffice to say this little unit is AWESOME. If you're into simplicity, not into building your own and fooling with a lot of different tanks etc then you should check it out.
Its $69.99 everywhere except I found one place selling it for $49.99, Vape NW. I just ordered a second color. They also sent me a 17 ml bottle of juice (I asked if they could send me a "sample" of one of the juices they carry.)
I got a problem with my Luxotic Surface. I'm using a LG Choco Battery 18650, it was fully charged and when I press the fire button suddenly it appears for Battery Low even the battery was on fully charged. I tried my spare battery maybe its just a mistake putting a fully charge battery, but it was the same issue also with the spare battery. I tried the 2 batteries with my Geek Vape Aegis 100W to check whether my batteries are already broke but it works fine. I was vaping for my Luxotic Surface by 55.0 Wattage, 0.21 ohms, 3.40 Voltage. Can someone help me out to fix this problem?
Just as a toy I ordered the Joyetech eGo one 1100mah battery and the clearomizer. The performance of this thing is awesome. Im using the .5 head and the battery is full charged and it is putting out crazy vape. Assembled it is about the size of my ipv v2 by itself. This thing is tiny. I loaded The Gentleman's Reserve and the flavor is great. Finally a nice little poket setup for me.
Fully charged this is putting out 35w

I recently bought a joyetech egrip for something small but powerful to keep in my pocket at work. I like it but is limited by battery and airflow. Is there anything similar (mod and tank one piece) that is more powerful or has changeable batteries? The only thing I have found was one made by Yiloong the pinnochio mod - 18650 battery 40 watt 2015 Yiloong Creative Box Mod Pinocchio Mod Like Castigador Box For Genesis Atomizer - Buy Pinocchio Mod Product on Alibaba.com . I cant find this in any store online.
I have been using an evod for two years now. Yeah, I know, minor leagues, but it gets the job done just fine for me.
For the first 18 months I was constantly buying new coils. I work from home so I can basically vape all I want and I vape A LOT. I use Swagger as my ADV and it will destroy a coil in just a couple days. It was becoming difficult to even find coils to buy and it was getting expensive, so I did some research on rebuilding my own coils. At first I tried to build them with silica wick, but I could never get them to work right. Using 1mm silica wick wrapping around a stick pin the wraps would always be too big and there was lots of leak/gurgling. So I went the cotton route and would wrap around a 1/32 drill bit and then slide the cotton through the coil. Works great, perfect ohms, great flavor. I've been doing this for the past six months. In the first 18 months of vaping I never got sick once. Since I've been using the cotton wicks I've been SEVERELY sick twice (probably a respiratory infection but never went to the Doc), and now I feel like I'm getting sick AGAIN.
I've noticed that I can see little flecks of what looks like cotton building up on the mouthpiece, and I'm assuming, going into my lungs. I think this is what is making me sick--the buildup over time. Anyone else had issues with this? I think I may have reached the end of my rope with vaping and now maybe I'll do what my original intention was (quitting altogether after vaping for a short period of time).
Anyone have any tips on rebuilding coils with silica? I've watched a million Youtube videos and replicate the process perfectly, but the wraps end up being twice the size they should be and I've been unable to slide silica wicks into the coil like I do with cotton because even at 1mm it's too big to fit through the hole. Thanks for any help.
Haven't vaped in like 8 years? So most of everything is new to me now..
But I did a little reading and I figured out a few things I need in a vape, but really there is so much, it's kinda hard to know what is good and what is not for brands and styles, so I'm hoping I can get some help by experienced vapers here.
I'm looking to quit smoking and here's what I'm looking for in a vape setup.
MTL Mouth to Lung setup so I can draw in and then inhale like a cigarette, but I would like a decent cloud. Not looking for huge, just good and maybe be able to slightly adjust what gets produced with using only 50/50 juice blends.
RTA setup? I need a rebuildable coil tank system.
I need to keep my maintenance cost low, so I need to be able to rebuild new coils.
No leak tank is a must. Needs to lay down on side on table and keep in pocket.
1 battery or 2. Doesn't matter much.
Would like a smaller mouthpiece compared to the larger style so I can get a good MTL draw.
Not sure what my options are for tanks and box mods or pen style? I think I need some kind of box mod? So i can slightly fine tune watts, volts to my coils if it just doesn't feel right and needs minor adjustments? Also like the option showing how many seconds used or draws.
There's so many tanks out there, but it's hard to tell what is really good.
The battery side, I really have no idea what I would need... watts, ohms, voltage.. with all the combinations, I can figure out what I really need..
Not looking to just be easy simple. I want good quality and I can only buy once.. I can't really afford it as it is, but I need to stop smoking..
But I want to buy once and be good for long time and not wish I bought something else. I just don't have the money to play around like that..
So I hope I can get some help here or suggestions to get me looking in the right direction for tank and battery side system.
Quality brands?
Brands to pass on because there is better options?
My mother in law just came home with a new Ecig. She is fairly old, yet insists, no matter how how many people tell her, that Cigarette sized ecigs are NOT economical in the long run. Don't even try to make suggestions, she's really stubborn.
Anyways, she's been off of Cigarettes for a while, and has been using an EGO/Stardust combination for almost 2 years. She said her battery wasn't holding a charge, and decided to pickup a new ecig. She bought something called a Mistic brand ecig...but it has a tank on the end of it. The whole unit is about the size of a normal cigalike. However, the end is a mini tank system. I tried it, and little vapor comes out of it.. which she says is fine. I will say, the products looks nice.
It seems it has a very small battery in it with a smaller than a mini protank II style general configuration for the atomizer. I doubt the thing holds a mil, and I doubt the battery is over 100MaH. The unit screws off the battery, and then the coil and wick unscrews out of the tank. It reveals a setup similar to a mini protank, where the chimney goes into the coil. The coil is TINY. I tried peeking down to see if I can see the coils, but I couldn't. I can't find any sort of specs about the product, type of connector (It's smaller than a 510), battery size/capacity, or even where to buy replacement coils. On the box, there is a website... MysticVapors.com is up for sale!!, but even that site is vague on anything about it and only sells the starter kits. Is there any information about the device anyone knows about? Its a cigalike size with a tank. Can replacement coils be bought? any gotcha's (besides incredibly low amount of vapor) A link to the exact item she bought is HERE. I feel she's just wasted money, but if I tell her that, she just gets all huffy.
Thank you in advance.
I popped in here a few weeks ago for the first time in months. I was shocked to read about the vape shipping ban that is quickly approaching. And I am in panic mode! I’ve just been happily vaping away for 8 years now and was totally oblivious to all this. (I am already stocked up on nicotine and have a lot of learning to do there with mixing my own juice. But that will be future posts) For this post my question is about stocking the batteries I currently use and the shelf life I should expect.
I have used Halo Triton with clearomizers for most of my years vaping (after moving up from G6) and loved them! When I found out they were no longer being produced, and the stock I had on hand ran out, I switched to Kanger eVod Twist VV and am pretty happy with those.
3 years ago I also had to find something similar to my Tritons, but only in auto battery because I was having surgery on both my thumbs and would be unable to use them to press a button on a manual battery. So I came upon the V4L auto Zeus with smilomizers. And I love those also, and continue to use those along with the Kanger eVod.
I know I’m old school, but I would like to use these 2 setups as long as I can before switching to and learning how to use external battery mods. (I am going to purchase and stock up on those within a week or two but that will be another post too! will need help! )
SO my question is…..how long of a shelf life would be expected out of a new Kanger eVod twist and new V4L Zeus batteries? I realize I really have no idea when they were actually manufactured, but if they were with in the last say 8-12 months or so, what kind of shelf life would they still have left? I would like to stock up on some to go a little longer before changing over to mods!
THANKS!
