Hello, this is my first time ever posting. I just purchased a Tesla Punk 220w, and while I was looking it over i noticed the buttons rattle when i pick it up and especially when I shake it. Is this normal? Anyone else's mods have rattling buttons? Thanks a lot for reading
Hey all, I'm noticing on reviews that everyone says the istick 30 button rattles but on mine it's totally not rattling. Just wondering if this is normal? I just got it like two days ago. Does your istick button rattle? Thanks.
Does anyone have any experience with https://www.darthvaper13.com/ and their products? I was looking at some of their mods, and I really like them, but I'm not sure how well they are built. I don't know too much about mosfet. Only the basics. All my mechs are straight mechanical buttons. I don't want to buy a mod and the quality isn't too well. ie. Warm chips, buttons, batteries discharging unevenly.
I was not able to find a lot of information on them online.
Hello everyone I recently purchased an ipv mini v2 and I love it, it is working perfect. I only have one complaint the fire button rattles like crazy and it drives me nuts. To some it's not a big deal but I just don't like it. So do any of you out there know if there is a way for me to fix this? Once again everything else is perfect ohms and all that it's just the fire button. The wattage up and down buttons are supper tight and clicky. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I accidentally locked the up and down buttons by pressing both of them simultaneously for 2 seconds, I have tried unlocking them by doing the same thing like the instruction manual calls for. It doesn’t work, no “unlock” pops up or anything. You can hold them as long as you like and...nothing.
I have since figured something might be wrong with it as I am almost positive I’m doing it correctly. Now I have tried getting the reset button to work in hopes of the up and down buttons being unlocked upon reset. I hold the reset button for 5 seconds and I’ve tried the method of the combo with the fire button and reset as well as the up arrow and reset and the screen goes blank and turns back on but never says reset and the settings are still the same as before.
My next idea is plugging it into my computer in hopes of an update fixing this but other than that I am out of ideas. The device is stuck on 20 watts which is too high for the cartridge I’ve got on it. Does anybody have any ideas, please help me out.
At 250 for a kit, are we seeing the end of provari? That name has been on this forum day and night for years, but really, custom box mods and high end mechanicals coming in at half the price, OR LESS? Do I hear a death rattle from the provari giant? Any long term member here has seen "get a provari" a thousand times, but those posts are fading into the locked section at a fast rate. Is anyone even considering one anymore? I'm not, and I used to want one more than any vape on the market.
Hello,
It's been a few years since I joined the vape community. For the whole time I bought only new vapes, as older ones were left behind. Getting rid of my old vapes and buying new ones.
But recently it all changed, since I decided I'll try restoring old vapes!
That's the thing, people scratch them, maintain poorly them, but they're still usable. Their prices drop dramatically with their looks. But they still work fine!
So I decided on restoring scratched, beat up vapes and giving them a whole new look!
So this is a greatly aged, one of the first versions of Smok Alien 220W from 2016! It originates from the UK, coming all the way to Baltic states. It looks all beat up, got it for a really good price!
Did a paint job on the line metal, brushing the buttons as well as sanding down the metal. Wanted to do a Storm Trooper replica, but the paint started sagging, and overall, was an awful paint.
Next one is a Joyetech eVic Mini, don't have a lot of pictures of it, but overall was a scratched, bruised vape. So I sanded it down, painted it and gave it a new look!
The third one in progress is another Smok Alien 220W
Hopefully will turn out just as imagined! Stay tuned!
Hello everyone. I just got my new MVP 3.0 today and am absolutely in love with it. I do have a bit of a question though. I just noticed a few minutes ago that when I press the fire button, it begins to make a quiet rather high-pitched noise. It's hardly noticeable, but definitely there. Is this normal, does anyone else with an MVP 3.0 have this occur?
Hi guys,
Just been reading a few things (insulators burning through & shorting, the recent mod explosion, etc) and just wondering if I am in over me head with what I'm doing or if I'm in the 'safe' category.
I don't have any mods, and the sub-est of sub ohming I do is the 0.5ohm Subtank coils. I have the Subtank Nano & Mini.
The two batteries I use are the Ego One and the Aspire CF Sub Ohm. I'm getting into rebuilding the stock OCC Coils and my coils clock in between 0.6 & 0.8 ohm.
So a few questions...
- with the two batteries I have, what could go wrong? I've read about the safety features of the Ego One & the CFSubOhm but my knowledge of electronics is really basic. The have short protection, over charge protect, etc? The CFSubOhm has 9 second cut off on the fire button, not sure about the Ego One.
- What would happen if the insulators on the OCC coil burned through & shorted?
- the Ego One does heat up when charging, is this an issue or is it considered normal?
I really just want to be as safe as possible, and I'm not sure if I've got the time & patience to get educated.
What do you guys reckon?
Thanks a lot for any help.
Hi there...a month ago I bought myself smok rpm80...is it considered normal when the firing button is being pressed it kinda felt rubbery or mushy abit? The pod fires flawlessly though.
Somehow, I inadvertently pushed the buttons just wrong today and it went from 7 watts (my usual power setting) to 50 watts (the highest setting). I didn't even mean to push any of those buttons.
I experienced instant burnout and a horrible taste in my mouth and the coil was instantly ruined.
Do people really vape at such high power? If so, how often do you have to replace the coil? And how many ohms are you putting that through? The coil I replaced it with is 1.77 ohms which is about the same as the one I burned out.
50 watts seems so excessive to me that I double-checked and yes, that's what it says it goes up to. Even at 7.5 watts the coils seem to burn out too fast which is why I vape at 7.
I feel like Nigel Tufnel designed this thing. "But it goes to 50. That's 43 higher than 7. So it's like 43 more. So when you're vaping at 7 watts and you want that extra push over the cliff..."
(I'm actually impressed that Nigel could do the math to figure that 50 was 43 higher than 7)
