I recently tried some dl vaping (restricted) and I noticed the flavour was much more detailed or pronounced....on both inhale and exhale...than mtl
Then I realised it was cause when I dl I tend to inhale deeply while when I mtl I usually dont.....I just mtl like a cigarette fast puffs or slow puffs but not deep inhales...once I changed that and inhale deeper the flavour was much better in my also...also I like to exhale trying only from mouth but of I can't and some goes through nose also and that helps with flavours....but I don't like exhale from nose only cause I feel like my nose is running ewwwwww I hate that feeling....
You guys? Do u like exhale from nose only sometimes??
Sometimes I just don't want to inhale Vapor so I just hold the vaper without inhaling then exhale. I find inhaling air before getting the Vapor then exhaling all works best for me. Anyone else not inhale all the time?
Hi all
Just curious to know how long everyone inhales for? I don't mean how long you hold it in for before you exhale, but how long you suck in through your device for?
I ask because people say you need to suck in for at least 8 seconds because the first initial seconds are wasted on the coil being primed. I also see a lot of vapers on youtube who inhale for about 7-8 seconds, but I can only manage 5 seconds on 25VW before it starts to feel too harsh. I can do 8 seconds on 15VW but feel I'm missing out and don't know whether it's do with my lung capcity or whether I have to just tough it out and allow my lungs to adapt?
Sorry to go on, but also say you suck in for 5 seconds at 25VW but can manage to suck in for longer at 15VW say for 8 seconds, are you getting as an effective vape as the 5 second 25VW vape?
Hey guys,
I originally posted this in the hardware specific section but haven't gotten any love so here goes...
I have been off real cigs for a few months now which I'm super happy about, no desire to go back. I kicked the habit with the aspire K1 Ego tanks and since upgraded to Nautilus mini which I enjoy, I'm primarily mouth to lung hitter. In between the two tanks I was sold an Atlantis by a local B&M, the guy said most buy a Nautilus mini then upgrade to Atlantis anyway so he said it would save money. I couldn't really get into it taking lung hits and still really don't enjoy it but am wondering if my technique is off?
I tried 12mg juice in there and it was really rough, I've since dropped my nicotine to 6mg across the board, and tried that in the Atlantis, it gives a harsh mouth and throat feel if I try to lung hit, I also get the same experience if I use 0mg juice. I've tried MtL hits and it doesn't really produce any vapor. Attempting lung hits I've tried all wattages from 15-30W with same results, also I keep the airflow all the way open. I try and inhale deep and quick thinking more airflow might 'dilute' the vapor and make it feel less harsh. Also this is Atlantis1, and I've only tried max or 100%VG juice.
What technique/settings do you guys use and what should it really feel like doing lung hits on this tank? When he sold me the tank I used it once in the shop and it felt very very smooth on the inhale and smooth on the exhale as well as very dense and tasty and pleasant, for the life of me I can't replicate it. Alternatively, is there a tank or RBA/RTA/RDA I can try for MtL hits that will produce that really dense vapor feel?
TIA for your help, I know it probably sounds like a newbie question lol 'how do I use my tank' but I am stuck!
Hello everyone.
How strong you inhale vs Flavour... does it make a difference?
I don't think I saw a thread or anything regarding this specific subject.
There are lots of information about atomizers, airflow, building coils and wick, MTL and DTL but in my opinion this small detail makes a huge difference.
Technically speaking, the amount of air (volume) you inhale can be the same but spreaded over a different period of time. I am a hard inhaler meaning, that when I think about it, I usually tone it down and next inhales are slower, softer and a bit longer.
Speaking from my own experience with the gear I have here is my conclusion.
-Taking a less aggressive draw usually leads to more flavor and a bit less clouds.
-There is also flavor notes that can be different in both situations.
This can also explain a bit why people coming from MTL to DTL sometimes are overwhelmed by the flavour and people doing to opposite get weak flavor results... they are just pulling too hard.
Just changing the way I draw on same atomizer, same build, same liquid, same power, will give massive different results.
Vaping is a fine balance on so many little things and in the end, when finally I hit the sweet spot, it's all so satisfying.
Stay safe.
Hi all
Sorry, if this is sort of newbie question, but I can't post new threads in the new member's section.
I wanted to ask whether we absorb more nicotine the longer we hold the vapour in our lungs? I've tried holding it for longer, but then there's only a little vapour on the exhale, which I'm guessing because it's been absorbed or it's evaporated
Also, does this mean that when we're puffing out a lot of vapour we're losing nicotine? I have to admit I feel a slight bit of a stronger hit when I do hold in the vapour, but might this because lack of oxygen?
Thanks
Hi fam. Have a surgery coming up in 25 days and I typically vape 3 mg flavored juice. In preparation for the surgery, at the advice of my surgeon and from doing online research, I understand I need to stop inhaling nicotine now. Nicotine in any form messes with the healing process, and I don't want to compromise the process in any way.
I think I can give up the nic (and the flavoring as well), especially since my usual nic level is so low, but I am missing the inhale-exhale piece.
Anyone have any experience vaping plain VG with zero nic prior to, and post-surgery? Is there any danger in inhaling pure VG with respect to surgical outcomes and healing?
My husband was doing great giving up the analogs. Six weeks later (four cig. free), he's complaining about his nose drying out so much it bleeds and is scabbed over inside and his throat hurts/dry/rasp. Anybody else experience these symptoms? Is it too high nicotine, not enough water, the PG is messing with him, gunk is getting cleaned out of his system? I'm just not sure what to do for him, but he's threatening to go back to analogs because of how he's feeling. He's using Aspire ego batteries with clearomizers, 50/50 ejuice with 12/18mg. He really likes vaping, and I hate for him to go back to those stupid cigarettes.
Quitting MTL (50/50 - 12mg nic) for now.
I'm doing M only. Not mouth and nose. Just inhaling into mouth and then exhaling out of mouth.
I hear that nictoine can be absorbed by the mouth, great. However, I don't feel the effect of 12mg. Think I should up it? I'll try 18mg or 24. Which is more effective for mouth: PG or VG? Or doesn't matter?
I'm running low on nictoine base so don't want it to go to waste. Thanks!
I recently discovered a new way to vape. Well it's the same way I used to smoke cigarettes; keeping the hit in my mouth while only inhaling a small amount off of that. I think it's the way most people smoke cigars or tobacco too. My question for you all is... what is your preferred inhalation method? Do you like to take full hits that fill your lungs and deeply inhale the vapor. Or do you prefer to hold most of it in your mouth, take a shallow breath to get some off of the top.
Hi All! Sorry if this is long. This place is a lifesaver. I was a 30 year PAD smoker. Tried all the recommendations to quit. Resigned to smoking forever. I heard of vaping in 2013 and found this site. The day my Ego arrived in the mail on April 15, 2013, I put down the cigs and haven’t had a puff since that day. (I still smoke in my dreams every night.) I started out at 18 mg, and went up to 24 for a while. I vaped way higher nicotine than my cigs had, and much more often. I even took my Ego pen to bed and put it under my pillow to use through the night. No matter how much Nicotine I inhaled, I still went through the same withdrawals that I did when quitting cold turkey, or the gum, or the patch, or setting a timer between smokes. It was obvious I wasn’t withdrawing from nicotine. It’s from whatever chemicals are in the cigarettes.
Over the last 7 years, I’ve gone down from 18mg, to 12, to 6, and now 3. Not by choice. I was happy at 18. I started getting lightheaded, so stepped down the nicotine in levels. Not because I wanted less nicotine, but because my body couldn’t handle it. I’m now at 3mg, and starting to getting lightheaded from it. Next step is 0mg. I’ve no problem going to no nicotine, but after so long, I can’t imagine not having the inhale/exhale/hand to mouth repetition.
Has anyone gotten to 0mg and still vapes, or have you broken the habit?
