hi. i was wondering if it is possible to set my mod settings to act like a pod?
my coil reads .56.
thank you.

Just picked up a Vamo 7, 40w, and cannot figure out how to lock the wattage settings. Currently, if the + or - button is accidentally pushed, wattage increases or decreases which can lead to a surprising vape!
I push + or - to increase/decrease wattage
I push both + and - at the same time, it goes into "settings." In "settings," there are several sub-menus but none of them lock the wattage.
Some Vamo's lock the settings when pushing + and - at the same time for three seconds. Not this one. If I hold down both the + and - at the same time, it goes into settings mode.
Is there a way to lock in the wattage so it cannot be accidentally changed?
Thanks!!!
Hi all,
I have a quick question - I have been getting some inaccurate readings on my coils and I'm trying to figure out which is the closest to the real reading. I have an ohm reader I purchased at Mad Vapes that reads my coil at 1.93. I bought a new ohm meter from USA Ohm Meter (?) that reads it at 2.05. The Cloupor Mini reads it at 1.81 and the HCigar Heart beat reads at 1.83. Provari reads at 1.9. It is 8 wraps of 30 gauge Kanthal. Do any of these numbers even sound accurate?
I was building my Avocado RTA today and for my second coil, I noticed that I must’ve wrapped it backwards as the upper leg went in the lower slot (the other coil had the top leg going in the top slot and bottom in the bottom). The tank reads on the ohm meter just fine. I am just wondering if I should re-wrap the coil so that the legs line up with the slots or if it’s fine as is? I hope this question makes sense. Thanks in advance!
Little confused here...so I've got this piece of equipment with the up and down arrows locked at say 4.8 Volts. I notice that sometimes even with the button locked Ill pull it out of my pocket and see that the volts have changed to 4.7 or even 4.6.
So naturally I try and change it back to 4.8 and it reads "locked"
How is this changing with the lock feature enabled?
I'm from Turkey and as far as I see my fellow vapers are so much concerned about having satisfying throat hit comparing to most other countries. Here I really don't want to bother you with other factors like Nicotin and PG ratio, Power settings, wick and airflow.
I'm just and merely interested in design of chimney and the tank itself with their effect on throat hit, because this is what I hear from most local vapers. This can't be as easy as explaining it with the height of tank, shape of chimney and position of coils. Please don't hesitate to throw away your ideas in order to enlighten me and other misguided/misinformed vapers. Thanks in advance for all contributers.
I went from a eGo twist that I usually ran at maybe 8-10W to a 20w box mod. My Nautilus mini and favorite flavor seem to go OK at the higher settings at near 20W. Others definitely less so! My iClear16 and some of the other flavors I use as alternates get really nasty at higher settings...burnt, hot, dry, etc. I sometimes look at my tank and wonder..."Why am I vaping burnt cardboard??" Yuk!
Do some tanks and flavor types (fruit, menthol, sweets, darks, lights, etc) handle the increased power better than others?? Is it the tank, the flavor, or both?? I want to know what to toss in the trash!!
Thanks!

Hey all.
So I've been vaping since January. I started out on a kanger ego and an aspire k1. Since then I've gone through aspire cf batteries, and finally made my way to my current set up. An mvp 3.0 or istick50w with my subtank mini.
At first using the stock occ coils with the subtank, I decided to buy some wire and cotton and here I am. Been building my own coils using the RBA section and loving it. I wick it properly and never get a dry hit, going anywhere from 18-25 watts, which is my preferred settings.
Now, it's only my preferred settings because I can't seem to go any higher. On either device. I get dry hits like crazy despite pancake wicking which I've specifically done to prevent said dry hits. I always have heard that it can possibly taste better the hotter it gets. And I don't mind a hot vape. But it won't let me try!
I'm well saturated, well wicked, and my juice can be anywhere form 50/50 to 70/30pg. I can do quick pulls on fully open, and slower toots on the middle setting on the subtank. I just can't go any higher than 25watts and I don't know why!
And that's not for just the coils I built. It's for the stock occ .5 ohm coil as well. And like I said all my cotton is beyond well saturated. Any help?
I have an MFeng UX that have temp control built into it and I have a crown iv tank that has stainless steel coils with it out of the box. I tried the tank on an IStixking 530 mod with coil set to stainless, I tried a tcr of 0.000093(I think?) And kept the temp below 400. The Sticking said no juice detected, I looked it up, some people were able to use nickel and it work good. The coil died fast, and I wanna learn how to use temp control without ruining the other coil. Basically, I wanna use it on my mfeng, and not guess at what settings lol. Any advice?
Sorry for not doing the research, but tomorrow I am leaving for a trip and appreciate any quick advice.
Yesterday, after purchasing a much-needed new tank, I finally realized that I had to semi-retire my Provari's. Evidently all is about wattage these days and not voltage.
At a local B&M, I grabbed a new iStick 30W and a Kangertech Subtank Nano, found a few Ohm's Law calculator sites, but I am still skeptical about the different setting recommendations I am getting.
Obviously, I do not want the iStick to blow up, but I am not getting the same vaping pleasure I did with the old-style provari and older tanks. Same eliquid, but zero throat hit and little vapor.
Can somebody please just provide me with the settings I need to use for this week?
I PROMISE to come back and contribute more again to this great community.

I just bought new 1,2 ohm replacement coils to replace the original 1.5 ohm coils in my protank 3 / i-stick 50w. I also changed to new e-juice (cherry 50/50 18mg from smoktech). Now it pops really bad when set at 3,7 volts, where it was set previously using mt baker strawberry / bannana 50/50 18mg. It even pops some at lower voltage settings down to ~ 2.8 volts, but I don't get a very strong vape at that setting. Is this because of the different juice or because of the lower ohm coil? Is this the sound of my wick getting fried or what? If so, what is the solution to stop the popping while also get a strong vape?
