I have said many times all mods break sooner or later. I dropped one and It quit working. I had to use an older mod I had for backup and it was usable but would randomly change the wattage. I bought a UWELL EVDILO a couple of months ago and it didn't work out of the box. I bought another mod the Vandy Vape Gaur-21. I received it yesterday. I like it but, I think the battery lights are not functioning properly. I used it for 24 hours and the battery indicators report the batteries are still at full charge. Doesn't seem possible. I am just sharing this info. Merry Christmas!
A long time ago, talking to a friend who's an electronic engeneer, he advised me to do something and so far works beautifully. It's specially true of cellphones and integrated battery stuff, so you might as well do it to your iSticks and your Kindle as well.
When you receive a new device that has an integrated battery and charger, both have circuitry controlling the charge. The first week of use or so (in the case of the Kindle the first few weeks or months) do complete discharge (until it shuts down completely) and charge completely cycles. This calibrates the battery and the charger to make a more efficient use of the energy.
Just now I'm putting a new iStick 30 though its paces. First day lasted me about 6 hours. Second day almost 8. Yesterday a full 12 hours. Doesn't matter the voltage. Charge it completely and discharge it completely a few times. You'll see how performance increases dramatically.
anyone know of one that exists? I want a box mod that can go up to 100-150 watts but want one that has internal batteries that I can charge via usb cable or ac adapter
I was looking at the segelei and ipv3/4 but I don't want to change batteries
the reason is I travel sometimes for my job up to 2-3 hours and I don't want the hassle or danger of changing batteries while driving
I want something I can vape on for a couple hours without worrying about replacing the batteries
I sub ohm at .2 ohms and bought the arctic tank .2 ohm coils specifically for this reason
thank you
p.s. I found this: MEGATRON 260 watts 5400mAh box mod uses ac adapter to charge but looks really weird and no one has tried it yet so I'm a tad skeptical
Is there a logical reason why a mod would just randomly shut off very frequently when using one brand of battery and do it much less often with another? And this isn't a situation where I'm only referring to a single battery this is any battery of one type doesn't work well and any battery of the other type that I've tried does. * this is a long post if you don't want to read the whole thing you could just answer that question and that would provide me with a lot of information
My snowwolf mini mod which is the sigelei product not the original snowwolf is having a fairly common issue where occasionally the whole device just turns off. Then you have to loosen the battery cap pull the battery out so it's not making a connection and then put the battery back in and it turns back on. I've seen this reported multiple times. Now when I was using Samsung batteries it was really bad like I would get maybe two Puffs before it would shut off. But with LG batteries it seems like I can use the product almost like normal. Like I can get a good half day usage out of it before it has a problem and then I take the battery out put it back in and I get another few hours.
I know that there is a slight variance in size between these batteries or at least it seems like there is because my drip box gets the Samsungs stuck in it but not the LG which I solve by taking the stupid sticker off of them not the wrap the sticker.
Now I've only had this for 31 days so while it is past the stores warranty it's not past sigelei or snowwolf. I'm debating on whether or not I even want to worry about this warranty situation because if it continues working the way it is as long as I use LG batteries I would rather not take the chance of getting a much worse product. I feel like it's going to be hard to get them to warranty it and at the very least I have a month or two to figure this out.
My question is why would it do this why would it work so much better with one kind of battery and be nearly unusable with the other and also like why would it do this in the first place at all why would it just randomly shut off the batteries are good it's definitely the mod my first thought would be that there's a short but why would one battery cause a short and not the other or at least not as frequently?
I've had such bad luck with sigelei products that I honestly believe if I try to warranty this they're just going to send me a broken device LOL how does that work if they send me a broken device can I warranty that product? Do I get another 90 days? Or do I get the rest of my warranty period carried over from the first device? Or is it a situation where you only get one warranty and then if a device breaks again you're out of luck
Hi,
I bought a new vape cartridge but it won’t work with the battery I have. The battery is charged and just flashes blue when it’s screwed in and pressed.
Do I need to buy a new battery?
Any info would be awesome. You can see the battery and cartridge in the photos.
Hey everybody. Love this forum. I've got a question. I've got an MVP2, MVP3 and iStick 50. Long question short, do you think it's better for the life of these batteries (since I can't replace them) to run them all the way down, THEN charge them or just charge them every night until I wake up regardless of the life in them unless they are full? And, how long would any of you estimate these mods will last until they completely die? I mean using them every day. Chain vaping. 6 months? A year? I ask because I really thought about getting a Sigelei and it's too late now, but I would like to now for future reference.
I'm looking for internal battery box mods that has wattage option higher than 50 Watts. So far I've found Smok Xpro M80 Plus, which is an internal battery box mod with 80 Watts power at a great price. ($55) Is there any other internal battery box mods? MVP and Istick serieses are of course excluded here.
I have a variable voltage/wattage battery and I have heard that some say charge it as often as you can this reduces stress, others say that's bad, some say a combination of long and short cycles but I don't know which is best. My battery's manual said get down to 10% but it doesn't measure it accurately (but I love these batteries so I don't want to change but they are expensive so I want to prolong their life span as long as possible even if that does mean charging them very often.) I do have two so charging often isn't an inconvenience for me if that's what I am supposed to do.
I'm wondering if anyone knows the proper place to dispose of things like egos, box mods with internal batteries, pccs, etc. when they no longer work. I know you don't just throw them away in the garbage but I don't know where they should be disposed of.
Do you take them to a battery disposal place like you would for other old rechargeable batteries?
Thanks for the info.
Wismec 3 Battery? No good. Breaks within a year without dropping. Replicated on two mods.
Wismec 2/3 mod? Yet again, poor manufacturing. Wires not soldered properly. Almost lasted a year.
Squid Industries Double-Barrel? Craps out after 1 month without any damage. Wont turn on.
GeekVape Aegis Legend? 2 months and not reading the batteries right. Never so much as tipped over on my desk.
SMOK? Had more than I can count or bother to recall the exact models, but every one busted within a year.
None of them seem true to their warranties either. They make it as tedious a process as possible. I haven't tried with the Aegis Legend yet, but I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it's probably more of the same.
At this point, I am convinced that I have spent more money on mods than I have on juice. These mods are all made like crap. I don't want to spend $80 every few months to get a new mod. I just want to vape for gods sake.
Has anyone had a mod that has lasted them over a year? What kind was it? I've asked this before and that's what led me to the Double-Barrel and the Aegis Legend. Both have failed on me even sooner than my previous attempts.
Hi guys,
recently bought some CE4s online, and the first couple in the bunch don't seem to be working, ive let them soak in the long wick for 10 mins, and the battery lights on, but there's just no discharge at all... heat or vape.
Any ideas what the issue is?
thanks
