I've just got a caliburn g that uses nic salts but there 3.99 or 3 for 10.00 for 10ml bottles so looking to do it cheaper does it matter what liquid ypu use to add nic salts too
Hi all,
I'm coming off a 2 pack a day smoking habit and have been vaping for about 3 weeks now.
I purchased the Caliburn G as this device seems like one of the best for nicotine salts.
They said nicotine salts is the best way to get off smoking and its helped a lot so far.
I'm on 30ml nic salts per 100ml bottle and I've got my smoking down to 3-6 cigs a day.
My question pertains to coil life.
If I chain vape, will this affect coil life ? And to what degree will it affect it ?
I've had to change the coil every 5-6 days so far, but from what I've researched, it is because of my chain vaping habit.
Can the coil last about 8-10 days if I don't chain vape, or is this pushing it ?
Also, is it normal for the liquid in the pod to become a dark brown / black colour after a few days ?
Thanks,
Andy
Yup. I got me a caliburn. I cannot belieive the flavour and warmth of vapour with the 1.2 ohm coils. I gave my Coolfire 4 TC100 away to a friend and both my cleito tanks.
12mg nic salts, 50pg/50vg and amazing.
My set up has gone from big to tiny and the salts are so satisfying compared to normal eliquid that I don't need to DL anymore.
Amazed at the performance from these tiny modern pod devices better than a nautilus mini by miles.
Hey all, I’m looking to find some more good salt nicotine eliquids to vape on. I’m currently using the Think Vape Zeta AIO with the RBA for MTL. The salt nicotine eliquids I currently use are Ultimate Salts, Viking Vapes eliquid and TRASH candy salts at 10-20mg nic strength in 10ml bottles. I was wondering if there are any other brands to look out for here in the UK. I can’t get hold of any US salt nicotine eliquids cause of our TPD so I can’t get my hands on 30ml bottles that are 20mg+
I’m curious as to why you shouldn’t do DL when using nic salts. I’ve got an Aegis Hero with a 0.6 coil at 15 watts. Even with the airflow closed off, it’s still to loose for a MTL. I keep reading and hearing I shouldn’t use nic salts for DL. The worst thing I’ve experienced so far is a mild headache. The nic salt is a 30mg.
Thanks in advance. ECF is my only true support group and I’m having a really hard time not smoking the stinkiest. Been back to vaping for about a month, and keep telling myself it’s all about baby steps. Not how many I smoke but how many I don’t smoke. I’ve got to quit for health reasons.
Hi everyone.. I'm curious to if anyone has switched from freebase subohming to nic salts.. What my perceived benefit would be to vape less.. I'm probably in a weird case.. I'm vaping 12-18mg currently and have been for years.. I work at home and I'm going through about 5-7mls a day.. I'm wondering if anyone else has switched over and did it make you vape less?
Thanks!
Hey guys,
So I ordered some 0mg bottles of eliquid 60ml online (full bottles not short fills) in a flavor that I have been vaping for awhile.
I took them to my local Vape shop and asked my usual guy to add nicotine to them. I normally smoke 6MG on my sub-ohm set up @ 0.2 ohms and 70w. So he added 6MG like he usually does.
When I got home it tasted weird. I would t say it was harsh, but it definitely had more of a throat hit / kick to it.
Normally @ 6MG I can pull / suck until I run out of breath and it comes out smooth. However this time I would hit it for 2-3 seconds and had to stop as it felt over powering.
As mentioned it wasn’t too harsh, and didn’t make me cough or anything. It just felt stronger and after a few puffs I felt a weird peppery feeling in my throat. Like I had just ate a spicy meal or food with a lot of pepper.
What could have gone wrong? I’m guessing 1 of the following things:
- He put in too much nicotine by mistake and more than 6MG? I called him after the fact, and he swears he put 6MG using the same calculations as always.
- He used the wrong type of nicotine? I normally always use 6MG freebase. Maybe he put in salts?
- Normally I give him 60ml short fills, this time I gave him full 60ml bottles. So maybe that screwed up his calculations of how much nicotine to add?
- His nicotine has gone bad / oxidized? Although the color of the juice looks normal and isn’t overly dark or red.
- Maybe I just need to let the juice sit for a few days for the nicotine to absorb into the liquid better? (Although this has never been an issue in the past)
Luckily I also asked him to add 3mg and 4.5mg to a few bottles (for my wife who prefers 3-4.5mg). I tested the 3mg and it tastes fine and smokes smooth. Although it does feel like the nicotine is a little too low for me. I then added some 4.5mg to my tank (which was half full of 3mg) and it seemed to be perfect. Like the 6MG I was used to in the past.
As this point I’m thinking to just get some 120ml chubby gorilla bottles and mix 60ml @ 3mg w/ 60ml @ 6mg and hopefully that will do the trick.
If anyone has any thoughts or ideas on what went wrong please let me know.
Thanks!
I just purchased the UWELL Calibur KOKO 11w pod device. It is very small. I am curious if I need nicotine salts to get any taste and hit when using this device. I have quite a bit of regular vape juice in 12mg and 6mg nicotine concentrations. Will that work for such a small devices or should I look into getting salt nicotine?
Hi,
Unfortunately they are about to ban nicotine E juice in my country in 6 months time. I was stocking up on my regular E juice but this is not really a long term feasible solution.
Luckily I vape unflavoured, so I figure it shouldn't be too hard to make myself.
I had a bit of a look around and found liquid nicotine, up to 250mg/ml, or nicotine salts, both USP, whatever that means.
Just wondering what the best nicotine product would be for long term storage and quality. If someone could recommend a vendor and product that would be great. I normally vape 70/30 pg juice from Heather's heavenly vapes.
I would prefer a liquid than a salt unless there is a big difference in shelf life.
Thanks for your advice
Hello everyone,
I'm vaping with a Vaporesso Swag and have tested the GT2, GT4, Mesh and Ccell coils so far. I'm vaping 50/50 VG/PG liquid with 3ml/mg nicotine. I always use the coils at the lowest recommended wattage, airflow fully open and my puffs are usually 2 seconds long at max.
Now my problem, I'm going through coils faster than others change their underwear. I'm on my third coil now for 10ml (!) of liquid.
I prime my coils and I let them sit in the tank for at least 30 minutes before I use them. I get muted flavor after maybe 5ml of liquid and it tastes burnt after 10ml of liquid. I've also tried different liquid brands and at least 20 different flavors.
So what am I doing wrong? I'm about to quit vaping because of the immense cost of coils I go through. I just can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.
Well, over the time all changes, even the beloved habits and hobbies, so is vaping, I do remember when I did started, a bit confused, a bit scared and with some doubts, then enjoyed a lot RDA’s, rolls, making coils and all those new things that changed out the habit… for example to switch the cigarettes pack and light on your pocket for a vape mod and maybe a juice bottle too,
so at the beginning I did used some sub-ohm tanks, then moved to RBA’s…. oh boy, the RDA’s, the coiling art and wicking, what a times on some stores, talking, vaping having great times!
Then, the need of more liquid, the hassle of dripping and there were no squonks available… so, decided to try RTA’s, oh what a wonderful land, tank capacity and dripper alike sensation, draw, flavor and vapor production..
Then… maybe a bit late, started using more mtl rta and pods, the vaping sensation changed a lot, I was maybe using 120ml per week on RTA’s and seldom a RDA, the liquid consumption reduced that much that I maybe use 10ml per day, 25max on a hard stressful day, the salt nic consumption raised when started using salts on TC mode with a RTA mtl and single battery mod,
How have your vaping habits and hobby changed, has It been affected by new devices and new trends?
Regards,
