Ama And Campaign For Tobacco Free Kids Have A Call Campaign In Effect Today.

We need EVERYONE to make at least 1 call to the White House today! Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids and the American Medical Association have a call push campaign on today (12-11-2019)!

In addition, last week Apparently ACS was down with a bunch of kids and people in oxygen masks making rounds in the Senate. Pushing really hard and being very theatrical!

Made a call and got through quickly...2nd and 3rd calls were at least 12min waits.
I did ask, they only have 4 people answering phones today
202-456-1414 is the best number to use
202-456-1111 is constantly busy.

She told me all day has been nothing but against bans, I asked specifically and she said no calls for the ban!!! So we must keep calling and the wait is hopefully discouraging the people for the ban!!

Our phone calls to the White House have been successful in the past. Let's continue to do what we can to prevent a flavor ban.

I Need To Rant.

So I just watched a video that Dash Vapes posted yesterday where they played a commercial or something about the dangers of vaping for teens/kids. They basically portrayed vaping as if it was a hard drug or something.

I understand vaping should not be available for them but, how is this okay? How is it okay to run such a campaign against vaping, but yet actual hard drugs, alcohol and cigarettes are completely okay?

Also, why are they blaming how kids behave on vaping? Perhaps they should promote better parenting. Just saying.

Okay, I’m mad. Sorry.

God.

Bloomberg's $160 Million Anti Vaping Donation & His Pharma Vaporizer

I have not seen this on the Forum before - did I miss it ?

From Vapun Magazine 9/24/2019
Pharma Vaporizer Brings Big BILLIONAIRE Names

some quotes from the article...
Hava Health is about to launch Hale – what Tech Crunch referred to as “the first vaporizer designed for smoking cessation"

Hale claims to be different because it will be the first device that uses “4 Pharmaceutical grade ingredients” for “two different oil formulations.”

Hava Health has some big-named backers that include: Village Global, Backstage Capital, Hardware Massive and other angel investors on their website.

One name that stands out listed as part of The Network on Village Global website is none other than Mike Bloomberg. The same Bloomberg who donated $160 million to anti-vaping efforts in New York, as reported by New York Times.

Another is Bill Gates. Both Bloomberg and Gates have donated heavily to the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids (CTFK) and the CDC Foundation. CTFK has been notoriously anti-vape–they were one of the parties that successfully sued the FDA, claiming officials did not have the authority to extend regulatory deadlines for the vapor industry. The CDC Foundation has been previously investigated for allegedly allowing private donations to influence CDC policies, as reported by Roll Call and The Times of India.

So...yea, there is a definite personal interest for Bloomberg to kill vaping - he is INVESTED in a pharma device !!

The Things You Are Most Grateful For Being Tobacco Free

Hey everyone! I've been casually vaping off and on for two years now, but I finally took the plunge and started vaping exclusively. I am almost 4 days tobacco free! It's the longest I've been without tobacco in 7 years!!! It's been a lot easier than I thought it would be.

Something that keeps me going is to think about the horrible realities of being a tobacco user.

What are the things about tobacco you are glad to have behind you? The smell? The taste? The money? What did you hate most about smoking?

I could really use the little reminders throughout the day.

Two Years Smoke-free Today !

Yup, two years since I set fire to a tobacco tube, after 46 years of a 2 pack-a-day habit starting at age 14 ...

My dentist in Mexico gave me a cigalike after pulling two molars on May 10th 2013, it worked for me from day one ...

I am a practiced stealth vaper, enjoy my new hobby everywhere and anywhere with complete satisfaction. At home and in my car I enjoy 50 percent VG juice and a modest cloud. But in public, recognizing the "brittle people" who have been thoroughly conditioned to openly attack anything that "looks like smoking", I vape 100 percent PG juice with total impunity. No evidence, no "crime" ...

After two years of vaping, my lung function has vastly improved, and Parkinsons symptoms are noticeably diminished. Now retired and with more energy that I have had in years, I can enjoy my free time thanks to 24 months of detox from tobacco additives ...

A salute to all of those on the front lines of the battle to protect vaping, and to expose the blatantly false media campaign to demonize this life-saving innovation ...

Will I Become An Outlaw?

Greetings from TX, fellow vapers!

I’m pretty sure this question has been asked before, and I apologize beforehand if it has.

We all know about the proposed flavor ban, that’s a given. And it’s not a matter of ‘IF’, but more a matter of ‘WHEN’.

Sales of flavors will become illegal, but what about usage? If I’m vaping in public, will I be subjected to prosecution for ‘Possession of a banned Substance’, or is the ban restricted to sales only?

I’m so thoroughly dismayed and disgusted with the lawmakers and news media. I can’t trust anything that they say anymore.

Usa Leads The Planet In Vaping By Far

I was surprised by this chart that I recently came across.

It shows that the USA is the biggest market by far for vape products.

There are still over a billion, old fashioned tobacco smokers in the world. Vaping has been around for many years already, yet there are only slightly over 40 million vapers in the world, of which I am proud to call myself a part of that wise group.

With all of the anti-vape propaganda and nonsense taking place, it seems that there is a movement out there to keep those billion+ cig smokers hooked on their cigs and also to deny the 40+ million vapers out there the freedom and the choice to remain cig free.

I guess it's better that millions of people die from cancer, because vaping is just pure evil and the work of satan, or something like that. Oh, and think about the kids. Nevermind the kids who would previously just start smoking plain old regular cigarettes before vaping ever existed. That was never a big deal.

Here is the chart I found showing the top vape markets in the world.

And notice how there are no third world countries on the list? Isn't vaping banned in India? That's insane. That country has a huge population. How stupid of them. Their actions are contributing to the deaths and diseases of an awful lot of people.

And here is a link to the article which the chart came from:

Tax Hikes In Many States

Alright, so I was reading over a house bill that just passed here in Hawaii "with amendments"

Not exactly sure what the amendments are, so this could be irrelevant, but the concept still holds true.

The legislature imposes an 80% tax on "Tobacco Products" which they have conveniently bundled electronic cigarettes into.

So, what would stop a vape shop from selling all 0 nic juices, and adding nicotine as a separate purchase. For example, I buy a 30mL bottle of juice with zero nic, and then I buy enough nicotine concentrate to bump it up to say 6mg/ml

They sell me the juice for $15 (Hypothetical here) and sell me the nicotine for $1.00

So all that would get taxed is the nicotine because that's the only "Tobacco Product" (by their definition). So we only pay 80 cents in taxes rather than $12.80

If I ran a vape shop, this is what I'd be doing to prevent my customers from taking their business out of state, or worse going back to stinky sticks...

As far as I know, they would be hard pressed to define any of the electronic equipment as tobacco products, or juice without nicotine.

Is selling the nicotine as a separate purchase a viable strategy for defeating these ridiculous laws that are being proposed all over the country?

Prizes! 15 Millionth Ecf Post...

A little over 18 months ago, we held a prize for the 10 millionth post on ECF…

Well, I’m very happy to say that we’ll soon be approaching the 15th million post and, exactly as we did last time, we’ll have prizes for this landmark.

Our registered suppliers have been extremely generous, and we've a whole host of prizes up for grabs. So, the way this will run is...

We will have one main winner and a number of runner ups. The main winner will be the post we deem to be the 15millionth, and the runner ups will be every (as yet undetermined) number of posts afterwards. The winner will get the first pick of the prizes on offer, and subsequent runner ups will get to choose in the order they come through. How does that sound?

I can’t tell you how much it means to me that this site I started on a whim 7 and a half years ago has become such an amazing living beast; a community that has been responsible for the increasingly global phenomenon that is vaping.

It’s worth thinking for a minute about these 15 million posts. Among them are some of the most important conversations in public health history. I don’t think this is an exaggeration; Conversations that have led to new products, conversations that led to lives changed, conversations that in aggregate have played a massive part in vaping entering the mainstream.

The future’s ahead, and the conversation continues, but I wanted to take this moment to say thank you!

Oh, and good luck!

The prize list can be found he Prize List for ECF's 15 millionth post! | E-Cigarette Forum
