Hi all,
I have a quick question - I have been getting some inaccurate readings on my coils and I'm trying to figure out which is the closest to the real reading. I have an ohm reader I purchased at Mad Vapes that reads my coil at 1.93. I bought a new ohm meter from USA Ohm Meter (?) that reads it at 2.05. The Cloupor Mini reads it at 1.81 and the HCigar Heart beat reads at 1.83. Provari reads at 1.9. It is 8 wraps of 30 gauge Kanthal. Do any of these numbers even sound accurate?
sorry for newbie question I tonight dove into the RDA world and bought a derringer some wire and a smok ohm meter, I have a hcigar hb 50 and my dual coil build on the HB shows .05, when I try to check it on the ohm meter all I see is 3 dashes no reading at all what am I doing wrong with the ohm meter.
On my Atlantis tank my m65 always reads 0.5 or 0.6. But for my Aeolus RDA built at 0.5 ohms, it sometimes reads it differently jolting up to 1 ohm, which constantly makes me change the wattage. My bottom plate is sanded too.
I was building my Avocado RTA today and for my second coil, I noticed that I must’ve wrapped it backwards as the upper leg went in the lower slot (the other coil had the top leg going in the top slot and bottom in the bottom). The tank reads on the ohm meter just fine. I am just wondering if I should re-wrap the coil so that the legs line up with the slots or if it’s fine as is? I hope this question makes sense. Thanks in advance!
I'm building a dual parallel 26g, on a 2.4mm screwdriver 5 wraps in the mutation x v3. Everything looks fine, one coil looks better than the other but still fuctional. I pre fire the coils to make them glow from inside out and they do. I put it on the hana mod and it reads out "shorted". I currently dont have a ohm reader which I should have gotten one long time ago before sub ohming but I depends on the box mods. Anyways anyone have any clue what might be or is the hana trippin? I get hot button on the smpl mod clone but I'm guessing its cus I was ore firing to get it to burn right (without cotton)
Hey everyone. I just threw a brand new .5 ohm OCC coil in my mini Subtank and its reading .7 on an MVP 3 and iStick 50. I tried unscrewing and retightening and everything else seems fine. It usually reads my .5s at .6. Seems to Vape fine. Anything to worry about or you guys think it's normal?
So, I'm familiar with battery safety, load, amp max for safe use, etc. I also know about ohms law. I'm on a regulated mod with an archon v2 rda and have just wrapped my 3rd set of coils. Three strands of 28ga. Kanthal. Two coils reads on my mod at .12 ohms. What's a good wattage range? I have a dual battery sigeli mod that goes to 200

8/9 wraps of AWG 29 Kanthal on 2mm bit should give you around 1.8 ohms, right? At least that is what it has always given me. This evening I was rebuilding a Nautilus BVC like I have done so many times before. Lo and behold I put the coil on the ohm meter and it's reading 0.18. I look for sticking out bits of wire. None. I throw out the coil and start over with exactly the same build as always. Again I get 0.16 ohms. I test it on all my regulated mods... same result on all of them.
How is this even possible?!
My MVP 20 watt recently started to get a little wonky on me. I use 1.5 ohm coils in an aerotank but for some reason the MVP is readin it as 4.9 and sometimes even higher. Of course its not hitting right either. I know its not the coils because if i put that same tank on my MVP 2.0 it reads correctly. The MVP 20w doesn't do this all the time but today its been doing it all day. It won;t go below 5 ohms and sometimes its even higher. Is this thing shot?
hi. i was wondering if it is possible to set my mod settings to act like a pod?
my coil reads .56.
thank you.

I decided to retire my cheesy Eleaf ohm meter and step up to something unique and of much higher quality. USA Ohm Meters is now making 3D printed meter cases with a stainless steel floating 510. Accurate to +/- 0.018 Ohms. Very nice indeed. Can't wait until this thing shows up.
