So I got a subtank mini after hearing a lot of good things the stock coils are amazing but I can't seem to get the rba to work properly I've tried everything I can think of and it just doesn't wick properly I always have to auto drip covering the air hole and puffing on it a little and even then it doesn't taste right can someone help. I hope I have this in the right forum

Hey all.
So I've been vaping since January. I started out on a kanger ego and an aspire k1. Since then I've gone through aspire cf batteries, and finally made my way to my current set up. An mvp 3.0 or istick50w with my subtank mini.
At first using the stock occ coils with the subtank, I decided to buy some wire and cotton and here I am. Been building my own coils using the RBA section and loving it. I wick it properly and never get a dry hit, going anywhere from 18-25 watts, which is my preferred settings.
Now, it's only my preferred settings because I can't seem to go any higher. On either device. I get dry hits like crazy despite pancake wicking which I've specifically done to prevent said dry hits. I always have heard that it can possibly taste better the hotter it gets. And I don't mind a hot vape. But it won't let me try!
I'm well saturated, well wicked, and my juice can be anywhere form 50/50 to 70/30pg. I can do quick pulls on fully open, and slower toots on the middle setting on the subtank. I just can't go any higher than 25watts and I don't know why!
And that's not for just the coils I built. It's for the stock occ .5 ohm coil as well. And like I said all my cotton is beyond well saturated. Any help?
Alright guys, so I'm fairly new to building. Actually, I've never done it!
After reviewing a subtank mini about two weeks ago, I am loving everything about it. The flavor, the vapor, the compacity! Everything.
So after watching rip trippers video of building on the rba I noticed he had to move the wick away from the channels so the juice can properly be wicked into the chamber.
On one of the comments, a guy said he actually drilled a hole into the side of the cap that goes over the coil to insure that he gets no dry hits.
What's everyone's take on this? Is it really necessary to do? I'm really worried about getting dry hits.
What's a safe way to do this? If it's needed at all!
I have a subtank mini and every drip tip I have doesn't fit. I really like the stratosphere stainless steel drip tip. Stratosphere Stainless Drip Tip - 510/901/KR808
But I don't wanna waste my money if it doesn't fit.
Hello knowledgeable guys and gals of ECF!!!
I like to switch flavors a lot, perhaps a little to often. I have read here that flavors can linger within the wicking material for quite some time. So long in fact that my habit of switching flavors doesn't provide enough time to work the old flavor out entirely. I have a bunch of extra coils for my nautilus mini and my Subtank mini. For accurate flavor I will switch out a coil for a flavor change. So I essentially have a coil for each flavor.
So here is my question!
How can I properly care for, or store these coils when they are not in use? Right now I have them sitting in a little dish of water so the juice doesn't dry up and gunk them up. Will this method harm them? Can I leave them in the water for a day or so, perhaps a few days even?
Thanks for taking the time to read this! I hope I'm not damaging my coils!
really random and specific question here. i recently got a kanger subtank mini. love it. around various vape shops and what not i see a lot of people with the subtonic mini but with a 3rd party drip tip. most of the times the tips are really short. idk why i just think it looks really cool but i don't know where to look for such drip tips. anyone have any pics or recommendations they could share?
Hey guys I'm looking to upgrade from what I have right now which is the atlantis v1. I'm not a huge fan of the atlantis because of the inconsistency with the coils and the loss of flavor after 2 tank full. The atlantis v2 seems nicer with the occ coils and improved airflow, but I'm not sure if its worth the upgrade since I could just get the new 5-pack occ coils for my v1. The subtank mini still has better options with the occ coils and RBA. Also it seems the occ coils for the subtank is easier to rewick which could save me a few dollars.
I'm not sure which one to go with. I'm leaning more toward the subtank, but still not sure. Maybe someone who has either one or knows more about them could help me. I like to have a good amount of clouds while still keeping the flavor.
Or if anyone has a sub-ohm tank they could recommend that they like more than the ones I mentioned that would be good too.
I use an ipv2
Thanks
Hi, I have having issues with the kanger subtank mini sucking hot juice into my mouth with the rba deck it doesn't happen with the occ coils please help....
Hi all
A friend of mine is after a new tank, he Loves my subtank but doenst have a mod to run it properly.
He DOES NOT want to buy a new mod, but wants something thats similar in airflow and ability.
What would you suggest? Kanger aerotank maybe?
ALSO
Does anyone know the width of the aerotank series? mini, giant, mega? his mod is 23mm wide strangely and he wants it to look as good as it performance.
I have my istick 50...have been using the subtank mini with rba n coils close to bout 1 ohm, good enuf, but get several burnt tasting hits,so local vape guy hooked me up with an dripper ..coil is .3 (need a wider bore tip now tho)nd I don't know what is wrong here but I'm using a 12mg juice nd not rly getting any vapor nd am coughing.I'm still getting the peach flavor he primed the cotton with n not my sugar cookies ..I'm not sure yet the 12 is too strong nd I don't want tht to happen cuz as of now all I have is 12s with 6more I've ordered on the way.Definitely not getting burnt taste but idk.do I need a higher wattage mod? I don't care for clouds but I'm getting real small ones right now which just doesn't seem right. .3ohm 50w(being the max) 12 mrgoodvape moon sugar juice...feeling lost here...not at the shop now nd he's very informative but I feel like I'm missing something,he built the coils n set the drip up for me nd it's all fine, idk maybe for a drip I need over 50w n less than 12mg....I have a 6mg of the same juice just in case as well tho too so...absolutely new to dripping but not sure if it's my device needing to b higher capable or what...which is why I put this in general vaping n not rebuildable anything forum cuz I'm generally looking for ideas on juice mg the bore of my tip, power of device,so it's multiple things on my mind...ideas plz
Hi, I'm not sure if I can post this here or not, I'm new, but does anyone have a picture of what the full-sized Subtank looks like on top of the Eleaf? I have the nano and might step up to the biggest one for the juice capacity but I want to make sure it doesn't look ridiculous. Thanks!
