Hey everybody, has anyone here ever ordered stuff from Vaping Tech? I have never tried them so I gave them a shot by ordering a copper FU Apollo mech last night since I couldn't find one with the black writing instead of the brass(?) writing in stock anywhere else. If you have any experience with them please let me know!
Anyone else had a negative experience?
I ordered a Mutant copper mod...
Mutant Copper Mod
This is what I ordered:
This is what I got:
I have been trying to contact them for two days, via their website, FB, and email...
It's like some guy just dropped his old mod in the box and...I dunno, tough luck?
I really like the look of the copper mod (variable wattage mod) and saw the KSD Kmax at the reasonable price, but saw bad review with PBusardo. Does anyone know any other variable wattage mod that is copper/bronze/brass?
Thanks.
A little background first to clarify what I'm getting at...
Like most I started with cigalikes and ego style batteries. Eventually, getting into rebuilding (kayfuns mostly) got me wanting something more substantial. First regulated device was an MVP V2. First Mech was a Panzer clone. Keep in mind this is all long before sub-ohm vaping was a thing you could go buy replacement coils for. Currently my lineup is a Nemesis, and two isticks 20w and 50w.
For obvious ohm's law reasons, the sub-ohm stuff works fine on either a mech or a VV/VW device. There's definitely more ability to fine tune the experience with the regulated mod. So why then do I find that more often I'm grabbing the Nemesis? I'm not even really sure how to articulate why I prefer it. Something about it seems more smooth, analog, real. Is this the result of no PWM (pulse width modulation) or other methods a chip uses to play "nanny state" to my vaping experience???
Anything built to higher ohm loads (1.3 - 1.5) goes right on the 20w, again for obvious reasons. I'm just wondering if anyone else has the same natural inclination to either mechs or regulated devices. To be clear it's not that the experience is bad or that I'm having any particular issue when not using a mech. It's just a more satisfying vape when I do. Maybe it's entirely psychological, but it feels like 'free range' as opposed to domesticated electrons. I'm eager to see what the denizens of ECF have to say on the subject!
Hey vapers! I was just wondering if anyone has ordered from Vapor Range's website. I found something I want for a decent price that I can barely even find in stock anywhere else. I did have one person from a facebook vaping group I'm in say she's ordered from them a few times but I always like to get more than one opinion. Please let me know if you have any info. Thanks!
I was just wondering if anyone has had any luck clear coating their brass and copper mods with spar urethane.
I was going to try a polyurethane clear coat but I've seen too many mods that would still patina beneath the clear coat. I don't want that happening to any of my mods. Today I picked up a can of Miniwax Helmsman Spar Urethane and so far I have only coated the top cap and the exterior of the firing button on my 4Nine mod. I figured I would test it on this mod first since it's my least liked mod. It's still to soon to tell if it's going to patina beneath the coating.
If anyone has experience on clear coating mods pls let me know what products work the best.
Just wondering is there any difference in how fast you get items from fast tech vs sourcemore.
Sourcemore has slightly better price but I think they charge for shipping... fast tech is a bit more but free shipping (and they have one other small item I need)
Think it would be a fun topic to discuss.
Back in the day,not sure maybe 15 years ago or maybe more i had this semi-platonic relationship with a stewardess from Lufthansa...or Iberia, not sure it was so long ago.
Well anyway, she hated that i smoked so on one of her trips to china she brought me a weird vaping contraption.
Was shaped (almost same size, tad bigger perhaps) like a pack of cigarettes with stickers on it to make it look like a pack of cigarettes.,underneath you would flick a switch and a plug would pop out,you would then just attach the plastic pack of cigarettes to the wall so you could charge it.
Once charged you would unplug and open the top, there was half of a plastic cigarette shaped tube in there, you unscrewed it from the device then screwed in the tip,the tip was just a hollow plastic tube with cotton in it,you just added some drops of liquid in it.
Tried to find some pics of it using google but no luck, but anyway you get the idea.
And now look at where we at,huge advances in vaping tech in these years,so it made wonder how much would it improve and what would it look like in 20 years,15 perhaps.
Would love to hear your thoughts on this.
cheers,stay healthy be safe.
Hey guys, new to the forum, new to vaping, second thread. I have a few questions pertaining to mod clone companies, a-mod (wotofo?), infinite, tobeco. Im wanting to get a magma clone, I have a local vape shop and they sell them on sale as of this moment for $15, its made by tobeco though, are they a reputable company, do they make good things? From what I can see everyone seems to say really good things about infinite, but are these others good? They also have a Sir Lancelot copper mech mod for $30 made my a-mod, not tobeco. I wanted to go and pick these items up today, but with a little insight, any help would be appreciated, thanks!
EDIT: Yes I realize Im talking about two specific products here, that being the RDA and a mech mod, but Im really just curious about the quality and whether or not these other clone companies are reputable, so I made the decision to post this thread in 'Gerneral Vaping Discussion'.

I have had nothing but a bad experience with using the new subtank nano.
I dont get why anyone would want to vape in this manner. My opinion is that it is to intense in flavor. It feels dreadful every lungfull. It feels like im just taking in raw ejuice every hit. The whole purpose for vaping is to deliver nicotine in a pleasant flavorful manner with just the right balance of flavor to make it interesting and enjoyable.
from my experience so far its been a really unhealthy nauseating experience and it annoys me greatly that this is the direction vaping is focusing.
It needs to be dialed down a notch and brought back into reality.
The aerotank mega and the nautilus mini I believe need just a little bit more tweaking but not by alot in my opinion. Its all about consistent wicking to be able handle say around 5 volts with no dry burn. Thats the sweet spot we should be aiming for. Just want a nice smooth punch not a revolting guzzling of ejuice effect. Your just making it way too complex In order to get a good vape.
again just my opinion.
I vaped initially at 12mg 50 50 and first drag I actually saw black spots and was dizzy. Then dialed down to 6mg to 70pg 30 still impossable to enjoy finaly 3mg 65pg 35vg and nope gave up its so wrong I just couldn't take it any more.
A real shame indeed. Dont believe all the hype.
So DMB was in raleigh recently and I got tix at the last minute. Didn't really have time to prepare my vape setup, or think about it. So I just filled my ADV setup (kanger subtank and black K-Box) with higher nic juices. Higher nic because this is the first concert I've been to as a Vaper and I tend to want to smoke when I drink. But I digress, I really didn't know what to expect from the staff or the other attendees.
Well, I arrived at the show right as Dave was taking the stage. There were still a good number of people lined up to get in. I hopped in line and pulled everything outta my pockets. Walked up to security afraid I was going to be turned away with the device. Nope. Guy looked at me, all the stuff in my hands and my pockets. "You're good man". I was kinda surprised he didn't look my mod over at all.
I was in and vaping away. People were kinda staring at me but all was good. I did not see one other Vaper for like two hours in. There was a stand with a bunch of scantily clad girls letting people try juice in a conventional ecig. I stood by there and blew clouds for a lil bit. I didn't catch the name of the juice co. But it looked like a BT stand you normally see giving away cigs.
The first and only real mod I saw was this guy standing right outside of the VIP seats tugging on a copper vanilla mod with tugboat rda. Asked him what he was vaping on but it was so loud I couldn't hear a thing. Just cool to see another Vaper!
At one point a cop followed me around but trailed off after a little bit. Probably cuz he didn't smell burned buds. If I were putting that much smoke off from a different type of vaporizer, or an apple, I would smell strongly of the devils lettuce. Instead He would have smelled something Limey citrus. Had the gimlet by trinity vapor lounge and bloodbath by MBV mixed.
I was not hassled in any way during my trip to walnut creek amphitheater here in Raleightown. I was asked for a lighter and a cigarette, each of which I had for backup in case my mod wasn't accepted. And gladly gave them away I tried to explain what I was using instead of a cig. I called it a vaporizer and she looked at me like I was on drugs. Tried to ease her mind by calling it an advanced ecig. She liked that idea better and just shrugged. Never heard of a mod or APV. Kind fascinated by the device but super uninterested in learning what is was.
It is funny the stigma on vaping devices and concerts. Most if the night I felt as though everyone was watching me vape and assuming it was the wacky tobacky
Has anyone had a similar experience at a concert? Was it Worse or were there many vapers?
