Hmm Looking To Buy Another Box Mod :) Suggestions Needed!

Something with life time warranty with it of course. Only few that has captured my interest are the BC & Hex ohm box mods with life time warranty. However, I prefer it to be a variable voltage reader like my amodz

Will Lowering My Battery Voltage By 0.4 Volts Up Its Life?

I have a variable W/V battery and I prefer it on 4.2, but it is expensive and I never get the full 300 charges out of them like they claim they are supposed to get. Will decreasing the voltage by 0.4 Volts increase the battery life to a significant extent that makes it worth while?

Snow Wolf/ Segelei Warranty

I have a snowwolf mini by sigelei kit and the mod has gone Haywire one day after the retailer warranty ended. My question is which warranty service should I contact? Sigelei is the parent company. Snowwolf is the branding that they're using I guess for this kit. Both sites have their own warranty contact information and I'm not sure which one to contact the little warranty card mentions nothing about the snowwolf but on the sigelei site the authenticity check does not work only on the snowwolf site so I don't really know which one to go through. If anyone's had any experience with this that would be great. I've heard mixed reviews but I would like to at least attempt to warranty this product seeing as how I've only owned two sigeleis and both of them went bad with in 31 days. It's worth a try anyway

What Is The Maximum # Of Volts Can I Use With A 1.6 Ohm Coil?

I have a battery that is capable of going up to 6.0 V but the chart that came with the battery did not have 1.6 Ohm listed on the chart, it skipped from 1.5 Ohm to 1.8 Ohm.
I just need to know what the max amount of volts that I can use with this coil without reducing it's life expectancy to much.

- Also is there any reason to prefer variable wattage mode over variable voltage? because I always use V/V mode never even tried V/W.

I Remember Back In The Day...

So why don't some of us old-timers reminisce a little bit about how it used to be....

--I remember when new members would be struggling constantly trying to find the path to a satisfying vape
--I remember when the 510 came on the scene, with a somewhat lower resistance atomizer, and new vapers started having increased success
--I remember when 510 cartridge mods were all the rage, as folks kept trying to find a good way to continue getting those consistently good vapes
--I remember when the KR808D came on the scene, and cartomizers started pushing new vaper success rates even higher
--I remember the ensuing 510 vs KR808D wars
--I remember the Boge Cartomizers for the 510 models that may well have turned the tide towards 510 models
--I remember when low-resistance (LR) atomizers came on the scene and the ability to vary your "power" became a reality
--I remember the FDA court case, and the formation of CASAA from members on this very forum
--I remember when CASAA started working closely with long-time harm-reduction advocates, thus giving long-time THR advocates new life and consumer backing
--I remember when the Chuck came out with custom graphics
--I remember the Chuck vs Silver Bullet wars
--I remember when the Reo Mods came out, and took dripping to a whole new level
--I remember when Egos came out and new vaper success started to skyrocket
--I remember the Buzz, which if I remember correctly, started the variable voltage revolution
--I remember when the Provari came out and started the variable voltage wars
--I remember when the Nhaler came out with the Darwin and started the variable wattage vs variable voltage wars

And I look at that the New Members sub-forum these days, and find very few struggling at first vape anymore.
Success, now, is nearly guaranteed.

That's progress.

What do you all remember?

Time For A New Box Mod - But What To Get?

Alright, it's been a while since I've been on ECF, so I figured since I've got a reason to post - I will. My 150w box mod shorted out my batteries, and the firing button and + button broke so now they're loose and disconnected. I figured since the warranty is still valid I'd exchange it or get my money back. But note I will NOT order from fasttech or anything that'll have me waiting a month for my purchase to get here. My budget is $70/usd, so I know my options are a bit slim. But here's my average vape set up: usually under 50 watts, but I'd prefer at least 60 watts+ on my device (I'd be willing to go with a 30 watt, but it'd have to be amazing for me to consider it). Coils on my RDA were usually under 1.0ohm (.2ohms-.8ohms) I HATE built in batteries so something I could use my 18650's in would be ideal (preferably dual 18650 but I'm willing to compromise), mechanical box mods sketch me out so I'd rather not get one of those. I don't care about the brand, as long as it's reliable, fits my budget and most of my preferences. Now that you have a base, lay it on me. What do you think would be a good new mod for me? I'm willing to compromise, but not by much. Thanks guys, I appreciate any suggestions.

Charging And Real Battery Life In Mods

Hey everybody. Love this forum. I've got a question. I've got an MVP2, MVP3 and iStick 50. Long question short, do you think it's better for the life of these batteries (since I can't replace them) to run them all the way down, THEN charge them or just charge them every night until I wake up regardless of the life in them unless they are full? And, how long would any of you estimate these mods will last until they completely die? I mean using them every day. Chain vaping. 6 months? A year? I ask because I really thought about getting a Sigelei and it's too late now, but I would like to now for future reference.

Making Variable Voltage Battery Powered Supply For Silver Plating Small Parts Need Help

I am not sure where this should go but this was the best place I could see. Anyway I need a bit of help here it should not be too hard. I am look to build a dual 26650 variable voltage cordless power supply for electroplating small parts . I need to be able to vary the voltage from about a .5 volts to 3.5 volts if it possible average voltage about 2 volts I would like it to compensate as the battery runs down a bit don't have to perfect but just help it keep the voltage steady so it will need to have a volt meter I see those all over in the diy mech mods
So I want to use a dual 26650 battery sled
A 1 amp usb charger port
I need a project box big enough
digital volt meter
I would think a mosfet to vary the voltage with a potentiometer
resetting fuse
and I would guess A piece of that project board stuff with all the hole in it like a for building stiff like this on I can't for the life of me remember what they call that board I built small projects on this stuff when I was kid so that was some time ago LOL it just a board with lots a little hole in it it's a sort of a PCB

I have a basic idea for this thing but last time a built any kind a power supply it was in high school and I am 53 now so I am rusty as Hedouble toothpicks LOL. So I really use a bit of help from someone that is good with this stuff I am sure I can build it that not the problem is getting the right values and wiring diagram and finding sources for the parts I sure one I have a wiring diagram and the values I can google most of that stuff but tips pm someplace maybe you got stuff from that has good prices and don't take a 100 year to ship LOL

In the end this will be the power supply for a silver plating with I have hope to maybe add some little videos picture and stuff of it. this will be kinda fun and I want guys to see how easy and cheap it is to electroplate silver for your box mod so when I done with the power supply I will do a tutorial help fold out in return for help with this
I will be doing stuff like nickel silver platinum. even gold plating

Any help with this would be great if it works out maybe I can plate some small parts for you as a thanks

Mod Acts Up With Certain Batteries

Is there a logical reason why a mod would just randomly shut off very frequently when using one brand of battery and do it much less often with another? And this isn't a situation where I'm only referring to a single battery this is any battery of one type doesn't work well and any battery of the other type that I've tried does. * this is a long post if you don't want to read the whole thing you could just answer that question and that would provide me with a lot of information

My snowwolf mini mod which is the sigelei product not the original snowwolf is having a fairly common issue where occasionally the whole device just turns off. Then you have to loosen the battery cap pull the battery out so it's not making a connection and then put the battery back in and it turns back on. I've seen this reported multiple times. Now when I was using Samsung batteries it was really bad like I would get maybe two Puffs before it would shut off. But with LG batteries it seems like I can use the product almost like normal. Like I can get a good half day usage out of it before it has a problem and then I take the battery out put it back in and I get another few hours.

I know that there is a slight variance in size between these batteries or at least it seems like there is because my drip box gets the Samsungs stuck in it but not the LG which I solve by taking the stupid sticker off of them not the wrap the sticker.

Now I've only had this for 31 days so while it is past the stores warranty it's not past sigelei or snowwolf. I'm debating on whether or not I even want to worry about this warranty situation because if it continues working the way it is as long as I use LG batteries I would rather not take the chance of getting a much worse product. I feel like it's going to be hard to get them to warranty it and at the very least I have a month or two to figure this out.
My question is why would it do this why would it work so much better with one kind of battery and be nearly unusable with the other and also like why would it do this in the first place at all why would it just randomly shut off the batteries are good it's definitely the mod my first thought would be that there's a short but why would one battery cause a short and not the other or at least not as frequently?

I've had such bad luck with sigelei products that I honestly believe if I try to warranty this they're just going to send me a broken device LOL how does that work if they send me a broken device can I warranty that product? Do I get another 90 days? Or do I get the rest of my warranty period carried over from the first device? Or is it a situation where you only get one warranty and then if a device breaks again you're out of luck

Mods Wear Out?

I’ve been vaping the same 2 mods for over a year and 1/2. They are Geekvape Aegis 100watt with Cerberus tanks. I use a couple of tank fulls per day. Lately I’ve been getting short battery charge life regardless of new coil or not, old batteries or new. I recently changed from .3 to .2 ohm coils, does that make a difference? Do these things wear out? I thought the only thing that ever needed replacing was the coil. I have 6 of the same unit in stock. Is it time to replace and pitch?

Bc Box Mods

Has anyone ever heard of or used one? I'm looking at a 26650 parallel box mod. Any other recommendations for a 26650 box mod that don't cost a fortune?
