I rebuilt a new coil 1.4 ohms. I am having this issue even with 1.2 ohms I have a 20 watt istick. So I know a lot of people have this harsh hit (not dry just hot) and a longer drip tip solves the problem. But for some reason I am barely getting any vapor production even at a higher watt and open air flow. Anyone have ideas if I am too vague please ask away.
My MVP 20 watt recently started to get a little wonky on me. I use 1.5 ohm coils in an aerotank but for some reason the MVP is readin it as 4.9 and sometimes even higher. Of course its not hitting right either. I know its not the coils because if i put that same tank on my MVP 2.0 it reads correctly. The MVP 20w doesn't do this all the time but today its been doing it all day. It won;t go below 5 ohms and sometimes its even higher. Is this thing shot?
Trying to find my happy place.......
I have been playing around with ohms and watts more since I got into rebuilding and have found sub ohming changes the flavors too much for me and the throat hit gets a bit harsh.
Tootle puffing does not satisfy my need for thick rich vapor.
Still looking for my version of perfection. I have gotten close with a few higher ohm builds that still get pretty good vapor production, but I just haven't gotten my vape nirvana yet.
Maybe I need to meditate over my builds?
Hi everyone, I started vaping with a vaporfi pro 650 mAh battery with an atty at 1.8- 2.0 ohm. Then I upgraded to a provari with a carto tank from IBTanked, which I LOVE!!! I tried a friends Atlantis and it was so harsh I couldn't believe how hot it was. I actually couldn't get into my lungs choked me up bad. So I bought a subtank mini the other day and tried the 1.2 ohm coil with my provari and again way too hot and harsh. I tried it at the lowest volts and not much vapor and the higher I went the more vapor but couldn't enjoy it (get it into my lungs) I really would like to blow big clouds but how the hell do you do it??? What am I doing wrong?
Second quick question, I'm thinking about buying an e-grip, I like the tank being inside of the mod and it comes with a 1.5 coil but will I still have the same problem as above. I like a warm vape but not a choking hot one!
Thanks and Happy Holidays!!!
Hello Been vaping about 2 years now
My setups are Vaporshark Rdna 30 Istick 30 watt and a provari 2.5 and a IPv mini v2 30 watt
So like many others I have been juggling with wattage I currently Use A couple of kanger subtank minis using the RBA and a kayfun v4 I've been all over the place building ohms but have settled on 1.2 - 1.4 ohms BTW I'm not into sub ohms
So after many months of different ohms and watts with the help of steam engine I have found I like my vape at a heat flux of around 175 so to get to this and I can't believe how simple it was I just take the ohms I am using such as 1.2 @ 12 watts = 178 heat flux 1.3 @ 13 watts = 178 heat flux and so on I can't believe it became that simple
So I suppose all it takes is to find what heat flux you enjoy and adjust from there
I never bought that what I have read thru the last 2 years that 14 watts is 14 watts no matter what ohms you use it seems to me there had to be more factors involved
Just my thoughts

Hi
I recently purchased the eleaf istick which I use with the kangertech subtank.
While I am impressed with the vapour production, I find it way too harsh and hot. On the coil it has the recommonded setting printed between 15 - 30w. I'm at 15w, but I'm still finding it too hot and harsh.
My question is:
is it safe to go down all the way to 11w or even possibly 8. I am confused as I've heard this could short my device or cause injury e.g device exploding, fire...
Thanks
I ordered a new version of the Vamo V7 varible voltage 40 Watt mod and I am wondering if the Kanger Subtank Nano with a 1.2 ohm coil would be a viable combination. I want to try this tank just for the better flavor possibility but since the Vamo V7 is only rated down to 0.8 Ohms, I figure that I would have to use the 1.2 Ohm coil that is supplied with the Nano. I'm not quite ready to start dripping at this point in my vaping experience but want to get close to it. Are there any other tanks that would work better with the Vamo V7 than the nano? Thanks in advance for the advice.
How can I get more vapor production out of my Halo Triton?I lowered my ohms to 1.8 to 2.0 and bought a variable voltage battery...going up on voltage didn't help. What next?
I'm tired of hitting the 10sec cut off time and still craving more vapor (per hit).
(Rather than just taking another hit) I want to maximize the amount of vapor per second per hit to achieve this.
I have my lemo tank opened up all the way which allows for maximum airflow.
Is it true that more wraps (on my coil build) would create more vapor since it's more surface area of saturated wick?
That coupled with more wattage would burn it hotter, also creating more vapor.
And using a gauge like 24 would help keep the ohms down, which in turn would allow for faster coil heat up time/temp to produce vapor quicker to maximize vapor per second?
Please let me know if these steps will yield more vapor per second or just send me on a different direction / adjust my ideas to allow me to obtain my desire.
Thanks ECF!
a few little questions. I actually like dripping my 3 mg nic in max better even than vaping. I drip using 3 mg nic on a Istick 50 watt set about 23 watts with a draw of about 2.5 seconds and the coils reading says 1.6 ohms and the air holes blocked a tad on the el diablo bael. I vape on the Istick 20 watts somewhere around 7 to 8 watts on factory coil of 1.8 in a nautilaus mini
my questions: 1) does sub ohm in a rebuildable tank give flavour similar to a dripper
drippers seem to require higher watts is this in anyway suggested as less healthy ( I am not too concerned about the increased supposed formaldehyde issue I believe Dr F had issue with the research and in my opinion I probably breathe more formaldehyde off gassing wandering around carpets and insulation and pressboard)
2) the nic level is quite a bit lower in the dripper Does this actually translate to a drop in nicotine/contine levels in my blood in other words would I need to drip more to keep my nic levels somewhat reasonable re setting off " the I want a smoke brain run"
3 if I were to drip only for 3 or 4 days am I likely to find my 12 mg vape to strong
thanks for any insight you might provide
Just got this SX 350 mini M. It's been working beautifully sans a few issues that I am sure are user induced.
First off I will tell you that the Lemo 2 that came in at the same time is Freaking awesome. I have a Kanger Sub Lemo drop and now the Lemo 2. The Lemo 2 kicks *** I the airflow department. It's robust and easy as hell to fill. I put a 3mm coil in it and pancaked the wick. 9 wraps and it's coming in at .118 ohms. Awesome flavor production and nice thick vapor.
So I moved on to the Tugboat to see how Ni200 fairs in the RDA world on this particular device. I went bananas with my coil and ended up with this monstrosity.
I twisted two strands of 28g Ni200 together with a drill and wrapped it 17 times. It comes in at .06 ohms. Performance wise it takes a while to ramp up but when it does it produces thick vapor but towards the hot side. Another thing is that the drip too gets hot really quickly. I'm running it 50J and have the temp cut off at 425F. The hot drip tip is one of the issues I mentioned. I vaped this thing bone dry and didn't get any burnt taste.
Then I moved on to the Lemo drop. The manual had an interesting coil method reccomended so I decided to go for it.
This one I wrapped about 10 times on a 3mm driver. Stuffed a small amount of additional cotton down inside like the manual suggested. The problem is that it gets stupid hot (the drop tip) stupid fast. I'm running it at 17J because this one is coming in at .365 ohms.
Short story long the device itself is working great. I just need to find the sweet spot with this Ni200 coil wise. Any tips in that department would be greatly appreciated.
At the end of it all the LEMO 2 and the Mini M seem like they were made for one another.
