Mods - I assume we're allowed to mention good places to go because this is where I heard about The Grab Bag (Gainesville). If not, and I'm breaking some rule I don't know about, I apologize.
Queen's Vape on U.S. 19 and County Line Rd in Hudson. Anybody nearby, go check em out! Knowledgeable staff, cool environment and they have their own line of juice which is pretty good and priced fair
Franklin County mother sues JUUL, vape shop over twin daughters alleged addiction to vaping
A Franklin County mother is suing e-cigarette manufacturer JUUL Labs, a Hilliard vape shop and its owners – alleging that her twin daughters became addicted to vaping through JUUL’s online marketing campaigns. The lawsuit also alleges that the Hilliard Smoke House allowed the girls to purchase the product with ease – despite being underage.
Nasty development. Vape shops can't afford expensive lawyers.
There are so many vape shops in my immediate area now that I can't even keep track of them all.
Even though I still qualify as a newbie vaper, since I've only been vaping for a few months, I now know enough about vaping to know a terrible vape store when I see one.
I was in a vape shop some weeks ago, and what I witnessed shocked me.
This vape store sold the typical premium juices and brands that you'll find everywhere and they also sold some hardware, like clones and mods.
They also had their own brand of cheap, in house juice which they sold and which they would also give out to customers as part of their rewards system, where customers who earn enough points will get a small, free bottle of juice.
While I was in the store looking around, another customer was there and they were getting a free bottle of that in house juice, and they were sampling different flavors, to see which one they wanted.
The sales person asked the customer what nicotine level they wanted, and after the customer told them, I saw the sales person walk towards the middle-back of the shop, and in less than 30 seconds, the juice was mixed and ready to go. The sales person was just eye balling the nicotine content! And it was being mixed right there in the open, in the middle of the shop!
I don't need to be an advanced vaper to know that this is not good at all, and I am shocked that somebody with such bad knowledge would even dare to open their own vape store. Needless to say, a vape store like that probably won't stay in business for long, when there are so many other better options around, with more knowledgeable people working in them.
I had this thought yesterday. I'm pretty sure that the mechanics for such an idea is not currently in place, but it would be cool if there was a weekly or monthly Hitlist chart for e juice, just like there is for music, movies and other things.
The chart would track the top online retailers and also some brick & mortars that participate. That would cover most places where people buy e juice I believe.
Wouldn't it be cool to see what the #1 selling e juice in the USA is for this week? Wouldn't it be cool to notice if an unknown, brand new flavor made its way in to the chart for a certain week?
Everybody has different tastes in juice, and some juices that people boast about is the same exact juice that other people hate. Reviews are 100% subjective, but this chart wouldn't be, because it would be based on sales data and nothing else. It wouldn't tell somebody how juices taste, but it would tell somebody how much juices are selling compared to other juices, based on their chart position.
I would be more likely to test a juice that was high on the charts, instead of relying on somebody else's subjective review. Either way, I just think that it would be cool to see such a chart, and to have it updated every week or every month, just for the sake of curiousity and entertainment. It would also be a good thing for juice manufacturers in my opinion, because it could help to drive more sales for popular juices.
Just got back from my local vape shop, i still ask questions 6 months into vaping. Not too mention they have various gear you can try out. So was curious what various box mods vape like compared to my Vamo 5 Nautilus/ Alantis sub ohm CF sub setups. Also got a ZNA 50 watt APV mod which i don't use much as it does drain the batteries really fast. I tend to use the ZNA 50 when my CF is on charge. I been vaping a lot on my Nautilus Vamo 5 set up a lot recently due to it being a lot kinder on my juice. Sub ohm vaping does love drinking juice like anything.
So my visit to the vape shop as made me curious about box mods in general as there some nice small compact ones out there. Was looking at box mods that can go up to 80 watts.
If and when i take the plunge as i'm just rolling it around in my mind at the moment. I'm not keen on the dripper's tanks so i would most be thinking about a box mod that i could attach a sub ohm tank on and one you could charge on it's own.
Any recommendations anyone ?
PS i love the new look of the forums! a major improvement.
They mention that the do use tobacco but heated them at a consistent rate of 350 Celsius. Recently I went to the iqos store nearby my house and the staff told me that you do not need iqos if vaping is working for you,I ended up buying one just to experience and it tastes close to cigarette but milder taste and hit.I heard that vaping heat not more then 315 Celsius, and assume it is totally safer then IQOS.
I find that I am more satisfy with vaping, mod ones as I drank more water.Comparing IQOS vs Sub ohm vaping where there is lots of cloud which one is safer to health, and which one to pick if I were to quit nic?
Hello!
I've started to vape more than a year ago with eGo AIO e-cigarete and now the battery has almost dead. What I mean with "dead" is that it is dead while at 50% charged and I feel like it will die in a couple of days or weeks. So now I'm looking for a new vape.
I searched on the internet what would be a good vape mod and found Eleaf. It seems a lot of people enjoy and are satisfied with this brand. I also looked into SMOK mods but looking at internet reviews, they say that it is not the best mod for long use.
So in my case, I've found to choose between...
1) Eleaf Istick Pico S 100W
2) Eleaf iStick Pico 75W
I also listed these since the shop I'm going to buy include these but not sure if these mods will be any good to be in the long run.
3) SMOK SPECIES 230W & TFV8 Baby V2 Starter Kit.
4) Smok R-Kiss 200W
5) Smok X-PRIV 225W
6) VooPoo Drag 2 177W
7) VooPoo Drag Mini 117W
The question is... from what of the all listed mods should I buy? Would be good if anyone shared their own experience with these listed products.
I don't need to puff big clouds and stuff. 30-50 W is good enough for me.
I stopped to check out a new Vape shop that opened in my neighbourhood. I asked the proprietor if they sold any 100% VG ejuice as I have a sensitivity to PG. They didn’t but had some line of juices that they sold that were made with “Organic PG.” The owner claims that most commercial ejuices are made with synthetic PG and this is what causes most reactions. I decided to try a bottle mainly because with their new customer discount, a 30 ml bottle only costed $11.00 (That is a very good price in Canada). The juice is delicious and so far I haven’t had any reactions but it has only been 1 day. Usually negative symptoms show up in 5 days. Could this be true or is it Bull #### and I will have a reaction?
Hey everyone!
I was just wondering if you had any places that you like to vape at or that's just been really awesome!
I personally like vaping when I'm outside a lot more than when I'm inside.
I thought it would be cool to start this thread because I haven't found one yet and I bet you guys have vaped in some pretty cool spots!
Vape on and have a great day!
So DMB was in raleigh recently and I got tix at the last minute. Didn't really have time to prepare my vape setup, or think about it. So I just filled my ADV setup (kanger subtank and black K-Box) with higher nic juices. Higher nic because this is the first concert I've been to as a Vaper and I tend to want to smoke when I drink. But I digress, I really didn't know what to expect from the staff or the other attendees.
Well, I arrived at the show right as Dave was taking the stage. There were still a good number of people lined up to get in. I hopped in line and pulled everything outta my pockets. Walked up to security afraid I was going to be turned away with the device. Nope. Guy looked at me, all the stuff in my hands and my pockets. "You're good man". I was kinda surprised he didn't look my mod over at all.
I was in and vaping away. People were kinda staring at me but all was good. I did not see one other Vaper for like two hours in. There was a stand with a bunch of scantily clad girls letting people try juice in a conventional ecig. I stood by there and blew clouds for a lil bit. I didn't catch the name of the juice co. But it looked like a BT stand you normally see giving away cigs.
The first and only real mod I saw was this guy standing right outside of the VIP seats tugging on a copper vanilla mod with tugboat rda. Asked him what he was vaping on but it was so loud I couldn't hear a thing. Just cool to see another Vaper!
At one point a cop followed me around but trailed off after a little bit. Probably cuz he didn't smell burned buds. If I were putting that much smoke off from a different type of vaporizer, or an apple, I would smell strongly of the devils lettuce. Instead He would have smelled something Limey citrus. Had the gimlet by trinity vapor lounge and bloodbath by MBV mixed.
I was not hassled in any way during my trip to walnut creek amphitheater here in Raleightown. I was asked for a lighter and a cigarette, each of which I had for backup in case my mod wasn't accepted. And gladly gave them away I tried to explain what I was using instead of a cig. I called it a vaporizer and she looked at me like I was on drugs. Tried to ease her mind by calling it an advanced ecig. She liked that idea better and just shrugged. Never heard of a mod or APV. Kind fascinated by the device but super uninterested in learning what is was.
It is funny the stigma on vaping devices and concerts. Most if the night I felt as though everyone was watching me vape and assuming it was the wacky tobacky
Has anyone had a similar experience at a concert? Was it Worse or were there many vapers?
I've been away from ECF for awhile but due to the influx of new devices, I recently returned (and got a bunch of new vape gear, but that's another story ).
Was just browsing the New Members forum and I am very disturbed by the amount of posts being made by people who have never smoked asking for advice on how to "blow clouds", "get into vaping" or even "get a better buzz" from vaping.
Of course, the vast majority of replies in these threads are from knowledgeable and helpful ECF'ers telling these poor, ignorant folks that it's probably a bad idea to start vaping 36mg juice in a sub-ohm device if you've never smoked...and that is great!
I just can't help to think that all these young (I'm assuming) non-smokers taking up vaping and "blowing clouds" can't be good for our cause and I find it quite disturbing.
FULL DISCLOSU I currently vape on an SX Mini / Goliath @ .4 ohms and can blow some pretty good clouds, but that's not what it's all about for me...it's about staying off the ciggies.
