As you might know, the mutation RDA has a post on the outside, one large one in the middle with 2 holes, and then another outside post I see a lot of people while building on a mutation putting the leads of their coils in the outside and then the hole further away, as seen in my crudely drawn photo=p i was just wonderingwhy not feed through the closer one, it seems a lot easier? i've been just rolling with the crowd and building using the 2 further ones.
I've mostly used tanks but now I want to start building coils on my mutation rda and doge rda. I'm looking to want to build between a 0.2 and 0.3 ohm coil. How many wraps and what drillbit size should I use? Thanks!
Hey guys, i have a mutation x v2 RDA on a sigelei 100w mod. I'm somewhat new to building, i'm not great, but im not terrible. I've been looking for an easy build that i get some good clouds and flavor on. BUT i want to be able to take nice long draws without drying out my wick too fast. I currently have 28g and 26g kanthal. Suggestions?
When I first started vaping I always swore off building and dripping. I liked the ease of filling and vaping away. About 3 weeks ago I picked up my first rda. (Mutation x v4) it was ok and it leaked something awful so I set it aside. Well after watching mike vapes review of the troll I decided to pick it up. Just got it in today and threw a dual coil 24 gauge build in it. .came out to .34 ohms and vaping it at 60 watts on my m class. I haven't been able to put it down. I think I'm officially hooked on building and dripping. So glad I picked up this rda. Juice well is deep, holds lots of juice. For anyone who has been considering it, I'd recommend you pick it up. Here's a pic of my setup just for fun. I love my M class too! Vape on my friends!
well I finally got it in the mail today. And have really enjoyed vaping on it. Right now I just got the atlantis V2 on powerful plus mode. My atlantis nickel coils should be in Thursday so I can try out temp control in a couple of my tanks. I've also decided to try my hand at building even though I swore I never would. Got the mutation X V4 on the way as well. Hopefully this is a decent deck to build on. I am not a beginner really, I have wrapped a couple coils for my buddies and did a few builds on their attys. This vaping thing can get expensive! Vape they said, it'll be cheaper than smoking they said....pffft. lol
I have had one of these for years and it has always come in handy for small projects..I plan to start building coils, and this seems like a great tool to make it easier...anyone use one for that purpose? I would love to hear about it!
I'm building a dual parallel 26g, on a 2.4mm screwdriver 5 wraps in the mutation x v3. Everything looks fine, one coil looks better than the other but still fuctional. I pre fire the coils to make them glow from inside out and they do. I put it on the hana mod and it reads out "shorted". I currently dont have a ohm reader which I should have gotten one long time ago before sub ohming but I depends on the box mods. Anyways anyone have any clue what might be or is the hana trippin? I get hot button on the smpl mod clone but I'm guessing its cus I was ore firing to get it to burn right (without cotton)
Hey guys. I have been in the vaping scene for a little while now. Just curious to what everyone likes to sub-ohm with.
My favorites so far.
Mutation X V3- 24 gauge dual parallel 5/6 wrap
Mutation X V4- 20 gauge dual 5/6 wrap or dual 6/7 wrap
Turbo RDA- both of the above builds work well
I've had the dark horse, doge and doge v2, freakshow, and a few other RDA's and the 3 above have been my favorite....v3 was my favorite for a while until I tried the v4, its now my favorite, and its a tie between the v3 and turbo for 2nd and 3rd place.
Hi all, just got home from work and my new Orchid V4 was here waiting on me.
Kinda excited ok, thing is I started building coils for it using 28g wire.
Here the problem, I cant seem to loosen up the four screws on the post.
Are these normal threads or reverse threads?
Cant install new coils till I can loosen up those freaking screws lol.
Thanks, normally I never have such problems.
Jim
Alright guys, so I'm fairly new to building. Actually, I've never done it!
After reviewing a subtank mini about two weeks ago, I am loving everything about it. The flavor, the vapor, the compacity! Everything.
So after watching rip trippers video of building on the rba I noticed he had to move the wick away from the channels so the juice can properly be wicked into the chamber.
On one of the comments, a guy said he actually drilled a hole into the side of the cap that goes over the coil to insure that he gets no dry hits.
What's everyone's take on this? Is it really necessary to do? I'm really worried about getting dry hits.
What's a safe way to do this? If it's needed at all!
So I have been buying up a decent stock of RTAs over the past few weeks, and today it hit me. I have no building tools. My question is this? What exactly do I need. Should I buy one of those fancy Coilmaster all-in-one kits? Should I just buy items seperately? I am having a hard time figuring out what are necessary items, and what things are just kind of extra (nice to have, but can live without). Any guidance would be appreciated.
