VB4 wrap up - https://youtu.be/dLHmZ_-C8wo
we had ourselves quit the time .
met some wonderfully interesting folks , as always .
thank you for watching .
One of my 18650 batteries had a snag so I did my first re-wrap. I thought I had it positioned well before turning on the hair dryer but seems I got way more wrap on the pos end than on the neg end of that Samsung 30-Q. Here it is next to an original wrap. There's not much wrap at all on the negative end. Do you think it's ok or should do over?
The wrap on the top of my brand new (3 week old) 18650 is peeling off, what can I do? As far as I know this aint safe.
How hard is it to remove the wrap from a mod?
And when you remove it, is there a bunch of glue/residue left behind that you have to remove?
I'm thinking about buying a wrap for a mod for the first time ever, but I don't want it to ruin the mod should I want to remove it later.
Hey guys. I have been in the vaping scene for a little while now. Just curious to what everyone likes to sub-ohm with.
My favorites so far.
Mutation X V3- 24 gauge dual parallel 5/6 wrap
Mutation X V4- 20 gauge dual 5/6 wrap or dual 6/7 wrap
Turbo RDA- both of the above builds work well
I've had the dark horse, doge and doge v2, freakshow, and a few other RDA's and the 3 above have been my favorite....v3 was my favorite for a while until I tried the v4, its now my favorite, and its a tie between the v3 and turbo for 2nd and 3rd place.
At what point does a peeling 18650 battery wrap become unsafe? Some of mine are starting to peel back where it wraps at the base. Thanks!
My charger has those eeh springy slides to keep batteries tightly set.
Couldn't find a respectable charger without them.
How do you avoid damaging the battery wrap when inserting/removing in a charger?
Inserting a battery is easier as you can preload the slide with a finger.
But when removing a battery the spring slide eats into the battery wrap on the way up.
Would be nice to avoid any wrap damage.
Maybe put a rubber band / twine / other (non-conductive) underneath so it can be pulled and open the spring slide after charging?
Like a slingshot
Other ideas?
My buddy wanted me to show him how to wrap up some coils. Hes using a vamo v5 and he bought an orchid v3. He doesnt like harsh draws but rather a smooth, light, cool pull. So i decided to try that standard wire that comes in the orchid v3's package. Its that stock, hair thin wire that comes in the box with most of your typical RDA's RTA's, but i cant figure out the gauge dimension on it. Im trying to get him a whole roll of it so he can wrap his own. If you guys can help me out i would appreciate it. Thanks!
I have a couple 20700 batts that need rewrapping but I'll never buy 20700 batts again so I don't want to buy a bunch of 20700 wraps.
Will a 21700 wrap fully shrink on a 20700?
I find keeping the voltage at 4.2 to 5 max will give me the perfect vape.It works out too using ohms law.For ex:,if i wrap a coil at 1.5 ohm,i set the watts at 12/13 and it works out too 4.2.
If i do .20 wrap i can ''bump'' up the watts to 50 and it will still be about 5 volts with no burnt taste.
Ya cant break ohms law.
Ok I got some triple twisted 28g kanthal and i am trying to wrap it at 1.0-1.2 ohms first try came out to 0.7 on my istick and on my vamo v6 it says 0.5 just to low for me so what should I wrap it at to get the ohms I want
