I modified a flashlight holster by adding a bit of seatbelt to widen it and work with my Kanger KBOX to wear around my neck and/or holster it to my belt or bag.
I’m looking for a holster for my Dovpo Topside (metal single 21700 version). Kydex would be my goto option, but would accept other options.
I've been using my Atlantis on a Kamry K101, and just got hold of a Kbox because I wanted to boost power. Unfortunately, the Atlantis won't fire on the Kbox. Charge indicator shows battery full charge, but it won't fire on any wattage selection.
The Atlantis I'm using fires fine on other batteries I've tried, and the Kbox fires an iClear 30S with no problem - it just seems the Atlantis/Kbox combo doesn't want to work together. The contacts on tank/battery are clean, no gunk or liquid in them.
I've tried Googling the issue, but all I'm mainly finding is people recommending the two together as a good combo.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing the problem?
Thanks in advance for any help.
I never would have been able to do this with cigarettes. I just discovered the joy of vaping while riding my motorcycle. Whenever I tried to smoke on my motorcycle (I don't have a fairing or windscreen), the wind would just blow hot ashes into my face and try to suffocate my cigarette. I wouldn't realize when it burned all the way down and it would charr my gloves. Then, I would litter because my bike didn't come with an ashtray. It's pretty much impossible to light one up while riding, so smoking on the bike was a rarity. I used to take smoke breaks, having to pull over somewhere and it was lame.
Vaping solves all of that. It's all about the neckring/holster. (sorry for not having a long intro)

A friend of mine has just bought a Kbox and a brand new sammsung inr battery.
When the battery is fully charged it will only fire at 20w with a .5ohm coil. and when it gets to about 50% charge it will only fire at 8w!!
Is this normal??
IT'S HERE! For all those who wanted a box with extra features that the Kbox just didn't have. And a new color variation for the subtank line. No specs yet, just the initial heads up from Kanger that this is a thing, and it is SO very real.
Brought to you by a Kanger fangirl.
Hate to admit it but I am, the Kbox and subtank plus seems like a dream combo.
All the videos on the KBOX complained about the irritating threads (like fingernails on a chalkboard) for the battery compartment, so I lubed mine when I got it with the lube I use for my flashlight's threads - SuperLube, and it's been great! Very smooth, feels very good to unscrew/screw.
Just wondering if others do this, and if it's bad to do for some reason. If it's not bad (like flashlights), then I highly recommend doing it! Make a HUGE difference in usability and enjoyment!
It was only about 5 feet to a hardwood floor, but when I looked down and saw two pieces lying there it caused a bit of panic.
I'm building a staircase in a new house and I leaned a little too far over from the landing with the rig in my shirt pocket. I really need to find a good holster for this thing.
After finishing what I was doing I scrambled down to assess the damage: the tank section of the nautilus had separated from the knurled ring just below the AFC ring. It's a friction fit set-up, and after cleaning the juice and sawdust from the parts I was able to tap everything back together with my hammer. I pushed the button on the Provi and nothing happened. Pushed the button a couple more times and I was back to vaping again with no leaks.
The owner witnessed the whole episode, and there wasn't even a dent in the finished oak flooring. He laughed as I cleaned up a couple of juice spots where it hit and watched me put it back together with a hammer.
I'm not usually this lucky.
Big shout-out to the makers of both products.
Why are they all made from soft brass? Even the silver colored ones are just plated/painted over brass and even being overly gentle and careful, they're designed to strip and wear out.
Where can I get one made from stainless, or at least steel? I'm talking about the threaded portion. The positive anode being brass is fine by me.
People are sticking aluminum foil and other things in there to take up the slack, but these are temporary fixes that won't be durable. Using wood or paper only inhibits the conductivity of its intended purpose.
I'm guessing the threads on my SubTank Plus portion (male threads) are actually stainless, which is a good thing, but the (female) threads in the KBOX are losing their silver color, leaving metal shavings on the tank's threads, and slowly turning brass in color.
I properly lubricate these threads, and I'm extremely gentle as I gingerly thread the tank on (NEVER cross-threading), but I can feel it getting looser as the days go by (only 6 days old), and can visually see the slow change in color inside, from silver to brass.
I'm tempted to solder some jumper-cables to my tank, and leave the box-mod in my pocket. I want to try to make my own female connector from some grade-8 nut, then epoxy a center-pin in there, then hardwire it to the KBOX, after ripping out its brass 510. Maybe use an NL-4 Neutrik™ connector instead. This area needs improvement!
BEST THREE WORDS ON THE PLANET! *exhales* got it out of my system *_* Ordered a Kbox and the Subtank mini about 3 days ago. Traveling from CA to GA. Love 3 day shipping. So excited to get this, should be a big step up from my Protank 3 Mini and ego twist.
