I'm curious. I went from a crappy Evod, to a Vision Spinner 2, to and MVP3.0, and now have an istick 50w to go with my mvp. I use a couple kanger subtanks and an aerotank just for flavor choice. I feel like I would never need anything better or especially more powerful than these ever. The highest wattage I vape at is like 16.5 max. So I see lots of people saying these are good starter boxes, or that theres is 100 watts, and whatever else. Why? I'm seriously curious. I mean hell with my track record of ugrades it's not far fetched that I'll be one of those people one day lol. But right now, I feel like it can't get much better as far as flavor, power, and battery life. I know there are better, my question is why.
Just curious what wattage you guys are comfortable with. I just got my Itaste mvp3.0. I have the Kanger Subtank Nano with a .5 ohm occ. The mvp recommends 25-30 watts for that. But the coil itself says 15-30 watts. Kind of confusing. Anyway I keep mine between 15-20 watts. Anything more heats the tank up too much, like I can feel the heat on my lip.
I just picked up a Kanger Genitank Mega also, haven't tried it yet but it came with 1.8 coils, so I'll probably start at about 6-7 watts and go from there.
I love this thing, so far very happy with my purchase, hopefully it holds up for a long time. I guess just want to see if I'm doing everything safely.
Just two questions.
Ive been using a Vision spinner 2 1100Mah for a long while now with a Kanger Aerotank V2 which has been very good and reliable.
I recently got a Kamry E pipe as a gift. The Kamry takes a 18350 battery.
Problem is there isnt a lot of difference in vaping between the two, this is with the same tank with the same coils on both. Is this normal? If anything the pipe loses vape sooner due to battery drain than the Vision Spinner 2. Is there anything i can do to beef up the E Pipe for a better throat hit and more vapour?
Which brings me to question 2.
Is there a good upgrade to the Kanger Aerotank? I want a new tank anyway to replace the stock Kamry one which is top fed and tastes burnt quickly, and i dont want to keep changing out tanks between the Kamry and the Spinner hence i need a good, ego threaded tank for the mech pipe. (Kamry k1000 is 510 threaded but i have a 510 to ego adaptor too)
Thanks in advance
An Aerotank Turbo. Found new for 18.99. I can share the link if its permissible and anyone wants it. I love my Aerotank and 2 subtanks and this seemed like a good middle ground. Then I watched the reviews lol. Doesn't look like I'll be taking the turbo out with me but it still seems like a cool novelty kind of. I already know it will be awkward on an istick, maybe better on the MVP3. Anyone have one that loves it?? Btw if you poke the sides of your occ coils with a safety pin and fluff the cotton a bit, you can chain Vape your Kanger Subtanks at like 35 watts. Alright peace and happy vaping!
So after a little over 2 months of sub-ohming with Kanger exclusively (mini and nano), I think I'm gonna get a first version Aspire on Friday. Not because I'm tired of Kanger, quite the opposite actually I'm really satisfied. But, I don't wanna get into the real high wattage cloud contests necessarily, I want to keep good flavor and it seems like the 2 biggest tanks in the sub ohm market are the Kanger subtanks and the Aspire Atlantis. So I found one used for 20 bucks, I figured I'd give it a try. What kind of differences between it and the Kangers should I expect? I know some people think they have better flavor. They use different ohm level coils as well right? What kind of wattage do you run one at?
Hello all! I was wondering if you could give me some help. Just a little bit of background. I started on ciga like.
I moved to a kanger evod. Went to a vision spinner. And now my device of choice is the joy ego one.
I absolutely love the joytecyhThey are brilliant as far as amount of flavor and extraordinary amount of vapor. I thought it would be my final device. lol
I was at the store yesterday trying some juices. .And the person behind the counter and I were laughing about how impossible it is to tell the taste considering that they are all in kanger evods, and you can barely taste anything. ( please don't misunderstand me, I used to use them. And I think they are great for what they are…).
So he did something terrific. He took out his device, and let me try some neat juices. I don't remember what it was. It was boxlike. And he was messing with the cotton. And was actually putting drops on for me to try each time.
Here is my dilemma. The taste was absolutely mind blowing. It was a completely different level than anything I had ever tried. And that includes my joy tech ego.
Each flavor utterly distinct and powerful.
The dilemma..I definitely do not want to get into something that is as complicated as this for me. My entire thing with all of these things is ease. Just ease. Must be easy .
Is There any device that would be the next step up from a joytech ego, that is easy, does not require what he was doing… Cotton ,drops etc. but would be even close to this amazing flavor and experience?..
Many thx
I just got my Aspire Atlantis in, and to be honest I'm not at all satisfied, and I can't help but wonder.... Did I get a defective unit?
I bought it and the Kanger Aerotank Turbo quad coil tank. My resistance on the Kanger is registering at 0.9ohm and I'm sending about 23watts to it. The amount of vapor is excellent, flavor is good, and it's not an overly warm vape at all.
So then I slap on my Atlantis. The 0.5ohm is registering at 0.6 (big whoop...lol) and I'm sending 28 watts to it. First, the hit is BEYOND airy. I'm on the lowest airflow setting and there's no pull required at all. I believe it isn't sealed well somewhere along the airflow adjustment, because when I blow a bit of vapor back into it as a test, it comes out of the airflow hole (obviously) but it also flows out of other areas around the airflow ring. This doesn't happen with my Aerotank Mega, Aerotank Turbo, or my Nautilus...
Furthermore, the hit itself is just BAD. The flavor is off, the vapor is WAY too warm to be enjoyable, and where as I exhale nice sized clouds using the Aerotank Turbo, I exhale pathetic small clouds that aren't even thick when I use the Atlantis. Considering its a lower ohm with more watts going to it, how is that even possible??
So, no resistance at all on the airflow, even on its smallest setting, and obviously I have to be getting air from some areas around the airflow ring. The vape itself tastes bad (not burning cotton bad, just a bad flavor), and it's VERY warm. If I try and pull on this the way I do with the Turbo (only 0.3 ohms higher), I exhale a measly small thin cloud AND I often get choked when doing so.
So I'm just curious.... Is this the way this tank hits?? I can't believe how many praise it if so, I see no appeal. So I can't help but think I must have gotten a defective tank. I've tried lowering the watts down to about 22watts just to see, and even though the vapor wasn't AS hot, it was still uncomfortably warm and did not do my liquid's flavor any justice.
Any thoughts? I really would like to hear if this is how these new sub ohm clearos are going to hit, because if so I have absolutely no interest in making the switch.
Thanks in advance,
Finch
My main go-to setups these days are Nautilus tanks (both sizes) with 1.8ohm BVC's on mini boxes like Eleaf iStick and Heatvape Defender, but since I got the Defender and it can go down to 0.5ohm with it's 25 watts I decided to give it a go.
So I recently purchased a 22mm Peakomizer 2 Mega tank with Aspire Atlantis 0.5ohm coil and just recently tried it out around 25 watts with my favorite 70/30 vanilla flavor juice.
Now maybe this is partly to do with the tank I bought but even on the tightest airflow setting I feel like it's just too much. It seems to kind of force me to do deep straight-to-lung hits and I'm just not into the experience. I like mouth-to-lung hits focused on flavor more than anything else and I don't typically inhale too deep, for more of a smooth creamy vape. But this experience was more like harsher throaty big airy inhale and I didn't dig it.
After literally just 30 minutes of checking it out I went right back to my Nautty's with 1.8 ohm BVC's between 7.5 to 10 watts and that's a happy place for me, so I'm probably going to sell the barely touched Peakomizer 2 tank and brand new Atlantis .5 coils (looking forward to getting access to Classifieds section here soon).
But still I'm interested in other vaper's thoughts on this. I'm curious to know if sub-ohming is mainly geared toward heavy lung hits and the airy experience I had or if there are ways to do it / certain gear to use so that it's a similar experience to what I'm used to.
As always, I'm just really curious to read the opinions and experiences of others. It helps me learn something new every day!
I'm currently using a Vision Spinner battery with a few ProTank mini 3's (Which look quite nice together infact - so long as the battery matches the tank). I'm wondering what I should upgrade too.. I'm not really looking to get into mechanical modding yet as I'm not made of money. I'm more or less looking for a better battery with a better lifespan, I'm having loads of problems with my vision spinner and I'm looking for something that could replace that.. Anyone have any good suggestions? Thanks!
Edit; I found this: Aspire Premium Starter Kit [VE754-B1] - £49.95 : Vape Escape and was wondering what your guys opinions are on it
Curious if any of you have gone to the Kanger Aerotank from the Nautilus Aspire tank? I have two Nautilus tanks and I have to say it is real hit and miss when I change the coils out. Sometimes I will have a clean hit and no burnt taste and other times it is burnt tasting for the life of the coil. A local vape shop told me to switch to the Kanger Aerotank. They did not have it in stock so I ordered it to try. Yes I am doing the whole prep scenario with the drops and hitting it 4 to 5 times before hitting the button. He told me it is common with the Nautilus, but not with the Kanger Aerotank. Any feedback?
I'm an ex-smoker who enjoys the throat hit I used to get with cigs. I find that I get a much better throat hit and better flavor overall with my Nautilus Mini at about 14 watts than I do with my Atlantis at 30 watts.
When I want to blow some massive clouds just for the hell of it, I'll crank the Atlantis up to 30. I don't really understand WHY I don't get good throat hit and flavor with sub-ohms at higher wattage. Does anyone have a good explanation for this?
