Hello fellow vapors. I recently broke the Pyrex chuff that came with my turbo. Searched the web high and low for areplacement. No luck. One day at a local vape shop, I mentioned it to the owner. He took a look and the light bulb came on. Try this, he said and what did you know. The aspire alantisreplacement tank is the solution. Just wanted to share this. Happy Vaping, folks!
An Aerotank Turbo. Found new for 18.99. I can share the link if its permissible and anyone wants it. I love my Aerotank and 2 subtanks and this seemed like a good middle ground. Then I watched the reviews lol. Doesn't look like I'll be taking the turbo out with me but it still seems like a cool novelty kind of. I already know it will be awkward on an istick, maybe better on the MVP3. Anyone have one that loves it?? Btw if you poke the sides of your occ coils with a safety pin and fluff the cotton a bit, you can chain Vape your Kanger Subtanks at like 35 watts. Alright peace and happy vaping!
So I’ve been vaping for around 7-8 years and in all that time I’ve never broken the glass on any of my tanks even though they have all been dropped several times on many different surfaces. Well that all changed today when I dropped the bulb glass on my Uforce T2 while cleaning it during a coil change. Sadly I only have one and the extra is a straight wall glass that reduces the capacity. So I’ve ordered a three pack of bulb glass in case it happens again. I haven’t started a thread in awhile and thought this was the perfect subject to share with my fellow vapers. My diary entry says...”Today I became a man” I know it’s kinda B.S. that in order for us guys to be considered a man in today’s society we cannot have an intact cherry. I don’t make the rules, I just follow them, and although I don’t agree completely, I do feel a little different afterwards. Dare I say, more like a man. Anyway for you ladies thinking of breaking your first glass tank, here is some musical inspiration courtesy of Neil Diamond.
This is what happens when I’ve been locked up in my house for too long, scared of the world around me. Things get weird man...
Cabin fever
I just got my Aspire Atlantis in, and to be honest I'm not at all satisfied, and I can't help but wonder.... Did I get a defective unit?
I bought it and the Kanger Aerotank Turbo quad coil tank. My resistance on the Kanger is registering at 0.9ohm and I'm sending about 23watts to it. The amount of vapor is excellent, flavor is good, and it's not an overly warm vape at all.
So then I slap on my Atlantis. The 0.5ohm is registering at 0.6 (big whoop...lol) and I'm sending 28 watts to it. First, the hit is BEYOND airy. I'm on the lowest airflow setting and there's no pull required at all. I believe it isn't sealed well somewhere along the airflow adjustment, because when I blow a bit of vapor back into it as a test, it comes out of the airflow hole (obviously) but it also flows out of other areas around the airflow ring. This doesn't happen with my Aerotank Mega, Aerotank Turbo, or my Nautilus...
Furthermore, the hit itself is just BAD. The flavor is off, the vapor is WAY too warm to be enjoyable, and where as I exhale nice sized clouds using the Aerotank Turbo, I exhale pathetic small clouds that aren't even thick when I use the Atlantis. Considering its a lower ohm with more watts going to it, how is that even possible??
So, no resistance at all on the airflow, even on its smallest setting, and obviously I have to be getting air from some areas around the airflow ring. The vape itself tastes bad (not burning cotton bad, just a bad flavor), and it's VERY warm. If I try and pull on this the way I do with the Turbo (only 0.3 ohms higher), I exhale a measly small thin cloud AND I often get choked when doing so.
So I'm just curious.... Is this the way this tank hits?? I can't believe how many praise it if so, I see no appeal. So I can't help but think I must have gotten a defective tank. I've tried lowering the watts down to about 22watts just to see, and even though the vapor wasn't AS hot, it was still uncomfortably warm and did not do my liquid's flavor any justice.
Any thoughts? I really would like to hear if this is how these new sub ohm clearos are going to hit, because if so I have absolutely no interest in making the switch.
Thanks in advance,
Finch
Hi, folks. I've been vaping since 2009 and certainly went through years of trying new devices (Anybody remember the Screwdriver?) But I stopped keeping up with new products and technology once I found a set-up that worked for me.
I use an original Aspire Nautilus 5ml tank with BVC 1.8 or 1.6 coils and flavorless liquid that I mix myself. I've been powering the tank with variable voltage batteries such as the Spinner 2 or, more recently, the Kangor Evod VV 1600 mah. Both the tanks and those batteries have become increasingly harder to find.
Have to say, after the Screwdriver, I was never interested in getting another device with an external battery. But as we all prepare for the (senseless) demise of the on-line vaping industry, I've been trying to quickly learn about regulated mods. I need something safe and reliable that will take an external rechargeable 18650 battery and will also fit my Nautilus tank.
I know the technology has advanced light years. Frankly, all the info out there is pretty overwhelming.
I don't need a lot of power or tons of vapor. I tend to stay between 3.2-3.4 volts with the airflow on the tank wide open. I'm most concerned about quality since buying mistakes will soon be harder to remedy. (Some of the worst products I've purchased-- with the highest price tags-- were from local vape shops.)
Any suggestions for an APV from folks who also use the larger Aspire tank?
Thanks.
Hey guys,
I’m new to vaping. I have been a heavy 2 pack a day Marlboro light smoker for 20 years. I recently got into vaping and so far it has been an amazing journey!
I started with a small pod device (Caliburn) with 16MG nic salt. I found that I was still not able to quit smoking. I went back to my local Vape shop and got some 20mg nic salt juice, and that was too strong! It made me dizzy and confused and I just felt unwell. Even though @20mg I was getting a lot of nicotine I still wanted to smoke a cigarette.
On a whim I decided to give sub ohm vaping a try. I got myself a Lost Vape Thelema DNA 250c + a Freemax Mesh Pro 2 tank. I opted with 6MG freebase juice at 70/30. And sure enough it worked! I was able to quit smoking and have been smoke free for a week now!
My question though, is 6MG freebase nic @0.2 ohms (dual mesh), 70-80 watts too much? I feel fine for the most part and my cravings for cigarettes are under control. However from what I’ve read (and what the guy at my local Vape shop says) is that for sub ohm vaping you generally should stick to about 3mg of nicotine.
I know everyone is different, and you should do what works for you. But I’m just worried that with the large amount of Vapor I’m producing 6MG might just be a little risky.
I Vape quite a lot (200-250 puffs a day) and probably somewhere around 15-20ml of juice a day (at 0.2 ohms @ 70w the juice burns pretty quick). As mentioned above I generally feel fine. However sometimes I do feel a bit out of breath and like my chest is heavy. This could be gas (perhaps from inhaling so much air?). Or it could just be me adjusting from cigarettes to vaping. I don’t feel nauseous or have headaches.
Please let me know your opinions. Would really appreciate some advice from more experienced vapers!
Thanks!
Hi! so i broke my tank glass and i need to replace it asap, the thing is the exact same glass for this tank is hard to find, is there any other compatible glasses for this tank?
I've got a VTR that i was using with an aero tank, but was burning through coils like every 4 days. Local vape shop recommended the nautilus mini since that's what the owner uses with the same juice I use. Doesnt quite fit with the VTR ring, but they showed me how to screw the base in and just pop it in that way. Cool, no problem right? Yeah right.
I go to refill and i cant get this ....ing thing off at all. The 510 connection is not stuck in to the device, but the bottom ring to unscrew the glass part is just not budging at all. So now I basically have a inert device and tank that cannot even be used and I'm out 52 bucks in total for this damn tank and coils.
OK, so I am an old fart who has depended on the ECF entirely (REOVille, Saloon, several e-liquid threads), and now I am thinking of swinging by the local vape shops to talk hardware.
Obviously, Kayfun (clones) will be discussed. Probably going to bring up Vapefly and Vandy Vape for MTL attachments. Will undoubtably take several bottom feed mods as well.
What else should crusty old farts who have been vaping longer than their store has existed try to convince the vape shop owner (manager) they should at least look into ?
Like it or not, they local B&M's just became out main source for hardware.
Don't get me wrong, I love to vape. But I do miss the convenience of analogs. Every corner store carries your brand, it's easy to bum a smoke from a friend or even get a light from a stranger. Vaping isn't that easy.. Today I replaced the coil in my atlantis before leaving home for the day. I suppose I should've tested it before I left the house but I haven't had a stock coil fail yet. So about a hour away from home I pulled my sx mini out of my lunch box and was looking forward to a vape. But it gave me an error, check atomizer. So I unscrewed the tank and double checked the coil was snug to the base and no moisture was under the coil. I also checked the floating pin on my sx mini and everything seems good n clean. Still I get the message, check atomizer.. Sooo frustrating because I'm a hour away from home with no backup vape and no extra coil.. I broke down and had a terrible death stick. Couldn't even finish it due to taste and smell. It's just not my vape. Anyways no one else at my work vapes so I had to vent to some other fellow vapors.. I can't wait to get home and get another coil!!
Hey guys. I have been in the vaping scene for a little while now. Just curious to what everyone likes to sub-ohm with.
My favorites so far.
Mutation X V3- 24 gauge dual parallel 5/6 wrap
Mutation X V4- 20 gauge dual 5/6 wrap or dual 6/7 wrap
Turbo RDA- both of the above builds work well
I've had the dark horse, doge and doge v2, freakshow, and a few other RDA's and the 3 above have been my favorite....v3 was my favorite for a while until I tried the v4, its now my favorite, and its a tie between the v3 and turbo for 2nd and 3rd place.
