Hi, sorry if there is a similar thread I am relatively new here,
I have always had issues with burning e liquid over various devices and brands,
I currently have a istick 30w with a kanger subtank, only bought the tank yesterday and battery last week, however it was fine yesterday, was vaping at an average of 17w, however i did go up to 30w depending on stress levels (And i'd gone from 20mg to 6 mg given i was now subbing) - However since today i have noticed a burning, almost coppery, metally (Apologies for my brilliant description) accross the range of vaping, used to get it with my old i stick but only when i was vaping at higher levels, however now it is happening all accross the range, obviously a lot worse and completely metally at higher wattage, any advice? - Swapped out the coil to the 1.2 and it was still doing it, with a fresh refill of liquid, was adding the coil properly and everything. just thought i'd solved this issue. many thanks for any advice, this is a £80+ setup so i want to get anything returned if there is anything wrong with tank etc/
EDIT: When I was in the shop they mentioned it could be the pg/vg of the liquid, however it was doing it at 70/30 and now 50/50, any advice?
okay, so i had a problem yesterday where i would keep getting juice popping up on the draw, that problem is solved, however, now on only the second day of light use, on the 1.2 ohm coil that came with the tank i am getting a pretty harsh smokey taste. Its not overwhelming like it is when a coil is burnt out, just an unpleasant taste. I did 4 drops of liquid on the coil before using, everything is screwed in tight. Do i need maybe a couple more drops on the coil?
FYI: using an istick 30w burning at about 14.5-15w
So I need to make sure right off the bat that no one misunderstands this post as somehow an attack on any vaper of any kind. I'm posting this because I have become genuinely curious and feel I may be missing out on my vaping experience. I've had an APV of some kind or another for the last 2 years or so, nothing ever real fancy or expensive (I just got an istick 50W and love it) but APVs none the less. I have found that I only really vape at very low Watts/Volts compared to many on this (as we speak I'm vaping The Virus in an old original model protank with a 2.2ohm coil in it at 3.8V--6.5W). Now it's not because I don't own a device that can reach the Watt levels I want, any of them can; in fact, I purchase higher resistance coils so I have a bigger range to vape at. My first VV battery was an ego style twist, and I have always kept with the same mentality (again, I'm not suggesting this is the right way, or better than others at all)-- I start at a low voltage, hit it, and continue to raise it .1V at a time until I get a burnt hit. I dial it one down, and there I am. Now I always use the Variable Voltage setting, and where I vape usually works out to be in the 5.5-7.5W range. Now, I have noticed that this is astoundingly low for the devices I use. My question is: when vaping at such high Watt levels, how can you taste the juice at all? I mean, at home (obviously not out in public) I would love to be getting even more satisfying vapor from these devices, which is clearly possible. So what am I doing wrong? What am I missing? Why is it that in the 6-7W range even my hits taste so burnt and dry I would never dream of continuing? All of your information/advice is greatly appreciated. Vape On.
I bought a Kanger Subtank and Atlantis V2, but sold them because they just weren't wicking my 100% VG liquid (Velvet Cloud & Gypsy eJuice) well at all. I tried using the atlantis with the .3 ohm coil installed at 70-80W, which was the stated operating range, and found it to be EXTREMELY hot. So hot that the tank quickly heated up to the point of almost burning my lips. The Kanger just burned the wick up at 20W+ with the .5 ohm coil, despite letting it sit filled for a few minutes and priming.
I am very interested in picking up a Royal Hunter, although I've no idea what pre-made coils (i dont want to make my own coils, just dont have the knowledge or time to learn how) and battery to get. VaporDNA sells UD pre-made coils in various resistances, but figuring out what resistance to use, and thus what wattage battery to get is where I am stuck. Not sure if it'd be better to run at lower ohms / higher wattages, or higher ohms / lower wattages. I'm not sure if it's possible to get massive clouds, but a cooler vape at the same time, but that's my aim.
Think i might of burnt out a Alantis coil yesterday, still not sure. I stuck my tank in cup of hot water for 20 mins with 1 or 2 drops of washing up liquid. Then i dried burn the coil.
When assembling my tank and topping up with new juice i got a horrible burnt taste so i just swapped it out and put a new coil in. At the moment i only got 1 sub ohm tank and i i got a selection of juices. I do intend to get another sub set up waiting on ZNA 50 as i type this. But this going to take time as i went for the cheapest option ie Fast Tech.
Does anyone know how long the coils for Alantis tanks are suppose to last ? and the best way to keep them clean when swapping out juices ?
Any advice would be really helpful.
I'm having trouble with my Jem Pen E cig - hopefully someone can help me.
I take the coil out clean the tank and battery area, put it back in with liquid + prime the coil. for about 5 minutes it tastes fine and is vaping as normal. then a really horrible burnt taste comes in which is unbearable to smoke and making my throat hurt.
I take the coil out and clean again, put more liquid. the same thing happens! it tastes absolutely fine again and then gets burnt.
any idea why this is happening ? the device gets quite hot too...
i don't think the coil is the issue because why does it taste fine for a few mins?
I've ordered new coils so going to try that but worried its the device. i've only had it for 2 weeks and changed the coil about 5 days ago.
Hello everyone,
I'm vaping with a Vaporesso Swag and have tested the GT2, GT4, Mesh and Ccell coils so far. I'm vaping 50/50 VG/PG liquid with 3ml/mg nicotine. I always use the coils at the lowest recommended wattage, airflow fully open and my puffs are usually 2 seconds long at max.
Now my problem, I'm going through coils faster than others change their underwear. I'm on my third coil now for 10ml (!) of liquid.
I prime my coils and I let them sit in the tank for at least 30 minutes before I use them. I get muted flavor after maybe 5ml of liquid and it tastes burnt after 10ml of liquid. I've also tried different liquid brands and at least 20 different flavors.
So what am I doing wrong? I'm about to quit vaping because of the immense cost of coils I go through. I just can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.
Hey there guys, new here.
I have a Vappresso Revenger Mini kit and I have upgraded my tank from NRG SE Mini tank to a "Geekvape Z Sub Ohm tank(Much Larger Tank)". Because I wanted to taste more flavor and still blow lots of clouds in the air with my vaping device being fairly cheap.
I put a New Geekvape Z series coil 0.4ohm 50-60W because I burnt my original 0.2 Ohm coil , I wont talk about my previous coil. I'm getting 2 problems here.
1. I'm using 60W, normal setting and every time I vape or inhale I get a taste of E-Liquid in my mouth. However its blowing perfect clouds and still getting an amazing taste but its just that the liquid drops in my mouth. I just want to spit it out every time. How do I fix that problem?
2. The other thing is if I use Higher Wattage and High settings the liquid pours out of the air flow and starts leaking and backspits in my mouth.
(Before I vaped with new coil)I put the new coil in, I soaked it for 10-15mins, while I fill half tank of E-liquid which is 0.8Ng/0.2PG. Then I inhaled 3-4x with no button pressed. Then I vaped to test, still leaking. I set the vape to 70W and high setting then blow downwards into the device 5-6x. All I was trying to do is desaturate it. My results got better didnt notice much of a leak but I still get a little bit of liquid in my mouth. If you can help me out here, I would much appreciate it.
Thank you and kind regards
Tuatara Vaper
I've got one that has me puzzled. I went through two fills of my Aerotank V2 with Cosmic Fog's Milk and Honey when it started to taste burnt. I figured no big deal, let me change the coil and clean the tank and all will be well. Well, new coil and cleaned tank and about 4 drags in it tastes burnt again. Thinking maybe I have a bum coil I try another one. Same deal.
I'm at a loss. It's the same bottle of liquid, same tank (cleaned each time), same battery (iStick 50w), same wattage (8.9), same resistance (1.2 ohm). Anyone have any clue what's could be causing this? It's getting expensive in coils and liquid!
Thanks
I have just purchased a Kanger K Simar 20 and I loves it! Only problem is that the voltage is far too high for my Kanger Protank 2. It is giving me plenty of vapour but no taste apart from the burning.
This is the 1st mod I've bought and have been using the vapeonly V Power which is perfect with the protank. I love the feel and look of the K Simar 20 and want to hang on to it. My question is do I now have to start looking at a higher end tank for the mod to counter it burning my atty and what should I get.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Hi, I bought my wife an Innokin Jem Pen to try and get her into vaping. She insisted on a Palma Violet e-liquid and after realising that it wasn't for her I got her other various flavors but after washing the tank and changing coil etc it just still stinks of bloody Palma Violets lol.
Q. Is there anything that gets rid of e-juice smells...Any advice would be greatly appreciated before I throw the whole thing away!
Regards,
Jon.
