Best Rda/pv To Start Off With?

Currently, I have a eGo One and I like it, but I want more vapor. I also use a higher VG mixture, because the PG kinda messes with my stomach, so it doesn't really taste "right" out of it. Plus the tank is very small (I run out of juice quick when I'm with my friends), the coil is very small (tried rebuilding it and I broke one and managed to open up the other), and the windows are almost useless because they're so tiny.

I'm really new to vaping in general, up until a little over a month ago I just hit my friends ecigs whenever I was bored or was out of cigs. I've looked up a little bit of info about mods and stuff, but I'm not really sure how to maintain them. I know the basics, you make a coil yourself, position it and add cotton.
But I need help with questions like:
When do I need to refill it? Do I have to replace the coils all the time, or clean them off? Does it matter what coil build you do? What kind of battery do I need?

Anyways, I could use these questions answered, and also I'd like to hear your opinion's on good/ user friendly RDA's. There's so many, I have no idea which one to pick.

Bottom Coil Compromised Question?

I'm new to vaping. I've went through 3 coils barely using them.

My issue is: When I first install the new coil and add the liquid, it produces vaporizes just fine. It seems like when I set it down for an hour or so, and go back, it still produces good vapor. But after a bit, if I set it down after vaping, and go back, it produced no vapor no matter how much I puff it. It seems like if I unscrew the part where the coil is, and run it under water, and then let it dry, and replace it, then add e juice, it'll start producing vapor again. But it seems like as soon as I set it down for a bit, and pick it back up, there's no vapor and I wash it out again, etc then it works, but eventually just stops producing vapor altogether u til I replace the coil.

What's going on here? am I doing something wrong? Do I need to adjust the coil some how? I've bought brand new coils and barely use them and this happens. Is the coil just getting gummed up? The coils don't make vapor after so long, and the usage doesn't even equate to a full day, maybe an hour or so.

An Mtl Vaping Quest

I am trying to get the best flavor with the best single coil build.

Objectives:
Flavor Smooth Vapor
Materials:
Kanthal Wire 35mg Nic Salts
I have noticed that either depending on the diameter of the coil or the spacing of the coil wraps You get a different kind of vape hit. It seems like higher gauge wire produces a smoother hit. And then couple that with a small diameter coil build, plus squishing the coil together to remove all coil spacing results in the smoothest possible vapor.

Can anyone confirm my findings? Or does anyone have any tips because I have still to replicate the smooth hit from clearomizer sub tank cartridge's that are non mesh. I am starting to think this is because the cotton is wrapped around the outside of the coil instead of being shoelace through the middle of the coil.

Looking For Advice On First Set-up

Hello ECF,

I've been creeping for a few weeks now, but finally decided to take the plunge and make an account. After countless hours (days...weeks??!!) of research, hopefully I am at the point where I form some sentences together about what I'm looking for in a set-up and ACTUALLY make sense. I came here asking for help, so please feel free to tell me if you think I made a wrong decision on anything below.

So, here is my story...(cut to end to see the quick and dirty version)

First and foremost, what I WANT out of the build is excellent flavor. Not quite as important but still important is large clouds and a "cool" factor. I'm leaning way towards DTL over MTL, as I never smoked a cig in my life and have no nicotine addiction. This is something that will be used with friends or when I'm bored, so maybe 1-2x/week. I wouldn't say there isn't a budget, but let's say I have no prob paying for the best quality/functioning gear.

For the majority of my research, I was pretty set on going sub-ohm. But more and more I was reading how if you really want flavor, RDA's can't be beat. Then I start thinking about squonking more and more, and now I think that might be the best of both worlds. I get the convenience of the "tank" (not having to drip, which is what I was most concerned with), and all the flavor benefits. Any learning curve with the squeeze and determining the quantity (if you can squeeze too much) should be minimal. I really think it's a good option for me. I'm really curious what the pros think.

Now, surely you'd all make fun of me behind my back if I didn't acknowledge the elephant in the room: the atomizer. I need to learn a lot here, still. Any and all help would be appreciated. Single coil vs. double coil? Mesh? RDA? What I DOOOOO know is I have no problem paying for pre-builts out of convenience, assuming they aren't impossible to find in stock most of the time.

Equal in both importance and the level of my ignorance on the subject is (are?) batteries! I don't want to die, folks. So any recommendations on 1 vs 2 batteries, battery size, is also needed.

Once the battery thing is figured out, I can look at mods. I don't mind paying a pretty penny for a mod, but what I want is function and reliability first. As mentioned previously, I want "cool", but to a point. For reference, what I have been trying to figure out how to buy is something from BMM. So far, all attempts to get into said facebook group have come up short. But I like the challenge of the hunt, and am willing to see what it takes to get. I've looked at numerous other brands, but am willing to hear what you recommend! And regulated?

There doesn't seem to be any shortage of juice on the market. They all sound soooooo good! Lots of opinions out there, too. I looked all over the place for higher-end juice and ordered way too many already (around 1,000 mL). They range in VG from 50 (I fell for 5 pawns)-90ish. Can I smoke that range out of the same coil?

I'm sure I forgot something, but that is plenty to start!! Thanks so much for anyone who took time to read that and for any assistance they can provide.

Quick summary version:

This will be my first vape set up. I know little about the technical side, but have used vapes often over the past few years. I don't smoke (cigs). I think I want a regulated squonk w/ RDA (don't think the learning curve will be that bad), and plan to buy pre-built stuff instead of build my own if that's a thing. I need to find out what battery size and how many to use. Box mod is up in the air, and probably of least importance. Juice ranges from 50-90 VG currently. In the future, I will probably stay closer to 70. Don't let budget prevent a recommendation.

New Lemo2

Hey guys,
Just wanna drop in and say I ordered a Lemo2 to try my hand at rebuilding. It come with a coil and wick at .5ohm already in place. This thing really works awesome... tons of flavor and vapor and can even MtL hit if I dial down the air almost all the way. I do have two hopefully easy questions I'm sure someone knows the answer to...
How high of wattage can you push these or any handmade coil to? Also when you wick a new one, since it doesn't come with much info on it, how do you know if you're putting too much cotton in, and is there a trick to get the cotton right where it needs to be in that little wicking channel from the tank to where the coil is so the juice gets absorbed quickly and properly but without flooding it?
TIA and I know I'm know pro sub-ohmer by any means lol but for someone thinking about one this tank really works awesome.

Coolfire Z80 Kit Vs Coolfire Z50 Kit

The coolfire z50 kit is the vape device that helped me quit smoking and start vaping one year and one month ago...it was a good choice cause I had no problems on my first vaping steps making the transition pleasant...

The z80 kit seems an impoved version in every way from the great z50 kit in my opinion...

Removable battery is always good to have....bigger size make it better to hold in the hand...very lightweight but also feels sturdy....great machining always from innokin and buttery smooth threads on the battery cap...

I still don't know if the Fourier vape tech with the new board can improve the coil life or the refresh makes any difference but I always like to see innovation and the mod performs very good that's for sur....the z coils already for me are great coils and very long lasting anyways ..

I also saw the 0.8ohm coil has bigger juice holes now!!!! I don't know since when this happend cause i have a stock of older coils and I also rebuild them...

I always thought the juice holes were kinda small for the 0.8ohm coil and sometimes on colder temps it couldn't keep up to wick 70vg juices in my opinion if u chain vape
I am very happy innokin doesn't settle and still making improvements and fine-tune their coils even tho they are so successful...

The zenith 2 is an improved zlide tank in my opinion maybe they chose to name it zenith caus the old zenith is a legend hahahaha
In fact is so similar u can swap the bottom airflows from the zenith 2 to the zlide if u wanted

its same dimensions as the zlide if u don't count the curves on the airflow ring and topcap, those curves btw make it look soooooo good

....it has wider chimney inner diameter that helps for direct lung vaping and it's not much bigger to affect the mouth to lung flavour in my opinion.....

it also comes with larger juice capacity cause the twist topfill mechanism that borrowed from the zenith takes less space and makes the tank be able to hold more juice than the zlide on same dimentions oh yeahhh....

the new airflow system is perfect....with small holes to be able to fine tune mouth to lung from tight to airy and a big slot to wide open and vape direct lung...

In my opinion is not just restricted cause it can be almost as airy as for example the hellvape destiny rta that is single coil direct lung rta.... The zenity 2 can supply the 0.3ohm z coil with all the air it needs and Vapes great...something that the zlide couldn't keep up...

Just Got My Istick 50w And ... A Solid 10/10

Well , I aint even gonna say much this thing is better than any mech mod out there . You guys told me to start building higher ohm coils and i did , I build a 2.3 ohm coil . My 2*18650 box mod performed like .... with it , I had to hold the button for 2 - 4 secconds before draw and i still got minimal vapor . So i got the istick 50w , i set it to just half of its full potention , 25W and it is firing up the 2.3 ohm coil as soon as I press the button and I am getting extreme vapor production . Also size i knew it will be small , but i can not believe how small it actually is , absolutely amazing , build quality is also amazing . I should have moved from mech mods to VW a long time ago .

Atomizers... Your Nemesis

I needed an extra 510 drip tip for an atomizer (someone gave a used one with no tip) I had been sharing one from another tank (atomizer... tank is easier to type) so I dug through a box and remembered an old RTA I could steal the drip tip from. Then the memories flooded in... it was a UD Bellus someone gave me (with a warning... "she is evil") I was not put off by this (I like a good challenge) so tried several times to build "the evil one"... no success (it has an extremely small build deck, dual coils sharing the same post holes with tiny screws and no clearance between the coils and chamber) When it did work (briefly) it actually had decent vapor and flavor. I finally gave up... long story but short answer... this tank was my "nemesis" for sure. I even tried the single coil option (came with an adapter to block off one side) still no luck (wanted to throw it in the trash or better yet take a hammer to it) Anyway... what atomizers have you had that you consider your nemesis (evil, vile, stubborn, useless... feel free to use other terms)?
P.S. I know it's futile, but I'm going to try one more time with that "....." (I can hear her laughing at me as I type this)

Different Nautilus Bvc Coils Floating Around..picture Included

Hey all,

So, I've been really happy with my new setup (iStick 50w and 30w, Nautilus and Mini Nautilus). Everything has been working smoothly, but I have a problem with the replacement coils I purchased (and cannot return).

Went to go change out the coil in one of my tanks this evening. Filled the tank up as usual, made sure the air shaft and drip tip were clean, screwed on my new coil, filled the tank, and let it sit and wick up for half an hour. Took some pulls without firing, dropped it to 8w (to "step up" and prime the new coil), and immediately got a nasty burnt hit that I can still taste an hour later. Unscrewed the tank to see what was wrong, and noticed the wicking material was bone dry.

For the longest time, I could not figure out what happened, why it wasn't wicking...until I looked closer. The e-liquid holes on the replacement coil I have are TINY! The coils that came with the tanks have holes that are at least twice, maybe three times the diameter. The holes are so small that my e-liquid will not even enter them to soak the wicking material. I checked the serial number scratch off on Aspire's site and both boxes of replacement coils I have came up as authentic.

I'm displeased. $22 down the drain, now I have to rush and find a dealer who has the "correct" coils. I cannot use these coils whatsoever, and the dealer I purchased from does not accepted returns on atomizers.

On the left is the coil that came with the tank (both of my tanks came with this exact same coil, and two replacements that look exactly like it, but I've used them up and am on the new ones). On the right, the coil I purchased in a replacement pack of 5. You can see they look nearly identical, except for the size of the wicking holes. Also, the piece at the bottom seems a bit more flimsy, as you can see in the picture, it's not exactly straight with the rest of the atomizer.

So, can anyone point me to a dealer that has the coils I need? I'm afraid of ordering from somewhere and getting the ones on the right, which are useless and do not soak up any e-liquid whatsoever.

Nautilus Mini Gurgling - Tried Everything I Can Think Of

Starting from a clean - authentic nautilus mini - with a brand new 1.6 (or 1.8 it makes no difference) coil (coils also verified as authentic).

1. Turn tank upside down - with tip removed and fill with juice.
2. Take base unit and set so no air holes are open.
3. Put a tiny bit of juice around the o ring of the base unit (i get the issues if I do this or not)
4. Put 2 small drops of juice into the coil (I get the issues if do this or not)
5. Screw the coil into the base unit (as tight as you can comfortably get it without going past the obvious stop point and damaging something)
6. Screw the coil/base unit into the tank.
7. Turn nautilus mini correct way up.
8. Move air hole to a middle setting.
9. Take some primer puffs with no power.
10. Leave standing for 5-10 mins.
11. Begin vaping gently at 6 watts - moving up slowly to 10.

Ive tried all types of juice - both high VG and high PG and in-between. Invariably at some point i start to get the gurgle. Ive tried the following fixes:

1. Using a paper towel blow gently out of the air hole to get rid of juice - doesn't work - if i kept on blowing id blow the whole tank of juice out.
2. Take the unit apart - most times there will be juice in the base unit underneath where the coil sits - dry this out - dry the coil off and repeat from step 2 above missing out steps 3 and 4. - this sometimes works but its a temporary fix.

There seems to be no pattern to the problem. Sometimes the gurgle starts as soon as ive changed the coil - sometimes its ok for a week. I have 2 units and 2 spare tanks and have rotated them all using the above method - still get the issues.

I have actually never experienced the burnt taste or reduced draw because Ive always got sick and binned the coil before that point.

I am vaping generally at 9.2 watts - but have tried as low as 7 and as high as 13 - it makes no difference.

I don't draw hard - I cannot understand why I keep getting juice in the air chamber - its not a problem with a "dud coil" unless they are all intermittently dud coils - they are all authentic aspire and I've bought them from different places - so its not a dodgy batch issue - the rings are all the correct way up - I have spent hours and hours researching to try to fix these issues - and cannot for the life of me maintain a stable nautilus mini.

Can anyone save me from madness and tell me what Im doing wrong - Im tending towards a conclusion of all nautilus mini components are junk at the moment.

Many thanks in advance

Sigelie Coils Taste Like Ebay Knock Offs

Im new to external battery mods but have been vaping for 3 years and I know how to prime a coil with e-juice. I go the extra mile after I prime the coil and let it sit for a minute. Then I fill up the tank put it back together and do not touch it for at least an hour or two just to make sure. I just got my now verified as legit sigelei sobra with the moonshot 120 both of the coils from that taste like those knock off BS eBay fake coils. I started off at a very low wattage and I don't know what's wrong both coils are disgusting. It's not exactly a burnt taste or a dry taste it's like a sour off taste and I can't use them. It also makes me feel like I have something in the back of my throat. What in the heck is going on? Do these coils take awhile to become usable? They're the coils that came with the mod and I verified the mod so I assume the coils are also okay. I even went so far as to try the second coil on a different mod but with the same tank just in case the mod was frying things the very first hit. Can anyone give me an idea of what's going on so I know what I need to do and also if anyone could tell me whether or not the Cascade baby coils will fit in the moonshot 120
