I had asked a while ago on here about the oral health impacts of vaping as I was concerned with how the dehydration caused by vaping would impact my gums. I never did get any solid answers and when visiting my dentist the other day I asked and they sent me the article linked below later that day. It turns out its the nicotine we need to worry about based on this article, i'm sure the dehydration isn't great either.
The take away from this article for me isn't that we should all stop vaping because its bad for our gums. Just that we should be aware of what vaping can do (especially excessive vaping) and take the proper steps to ensure it doesn't become a problem. If you aren't brushing your teeth as often as you should, and you aren't flossing while vaping excessively all day long there is a good chance you could run into issues with Periodontal Disease.

Finally an article that says it wasn't related to vaping nicotine
Trump responds to one vaping crisis by attacking another
A marijuana-related vaping disease outbreak gave the Trump administration the perfect opportunity to tackle another public health problem: teen e-cigarette use.
But the two aren’t directly related.
Just came from my dentist. This is my 2nd cleaning since I stopped stinkies on May 26, 2014 and got on the VAPE. I am DELIGHTED to report to my ECF FAMILY that the dental hygienist as well as my dentist told me my OVERALL gum tissue health has MARKEDLY IMPROVED
I mean how good is that. Many thanks to ECF and our community for providing the knowledge and the power to stay quit and enjoy vaping. Thank you one and all!
I am enjoying vaping soooooooooooooooo much..
I know most of people here are veterans and won't be Soo excited ofc anymore
But man....my first attempt on vaping was in 2014 and for many reasons didn't go well and I was back to cigs...ew
Anyways... now it's being 4.5 months vaping
I started with a drop in coils atomizer and now I use rebuildable also and make my my own e juice ofc and blah blah.blah....
Vaping is soooooo good.....never going back to cigs eeeeeever....actually cigs seem sooo bad now and I hat a hit to remind me what a nasty thing I was smoking all those years....ew
The benefits of vaping are more that u think and u only realise when u start it...
Besides health benefits...that ok some may say vaping is now sooo risk free but I don't care even if was same bad as cigs...even tho I am sure it's not
My sense of taste and smell is much better now....
I can adjust my nicontine levels and lower it and now I have less cravings...(I was crazy smoker)
My hands or facial hair don't smell and they don't get a yellow colour from cig smoke that I had to pull off my skin to remove ...(I was always with a cig on my hand)
Clothes don't smell and I don't feel bad to hug my niece now
My car don't smell cigs....my kitchen don't smell cigs...(I used to smoke to kitchen)
My mouth hygiene and gums is better now confirmed by dentist also...already only 4.5months vaping!!!
I sleep better and wake up better no cough or hard breathing...
In my case I used to skip brushing my teeth sometimes cause in my opinion it would ruin my smoking experience but with vaping I tend to want to brush my teeth after every meal if I can cause I enjoy vaping taste more
I still drink coffee but water is a great match with vaping for me cause it reset the flavour in mouth so I drink less coffees and beverages...
with cigs I was always drinking loooot of coffee or some kind of beverage usually unhealthy cause it used to match with horrible taste of burned paper and tobacco lol
If I needed my nicotine I used to roll a cig and then I was smoking it all ofc...even tho I wanted just a few puffs...with vaping I can take my puff aaaanytime I want as much as I want...
The cost is less even tho some may spend a looooooooooot money hhahaha but if u are a casual vaper is cheaper ....but even if was the same or more still worth it....
P.s I know I don't say anything people here don't already know but just happy excited about vaping and sharing it
California man dies in 7th vaping-related illness as CDC steps up e-cig probe - CNN
The latest California victim had been sick for several weeks after he suffered a "severe pulmonary injury associated with vaping," Dr. Karen Haught, the Tulare County public health officer, said in a news release.

‘It is time to stop vaping’: California man dies in 7th vaping-related illness
7th death linked to vaping reported
A 7th person has died in the U.S. from a vaping-related lung illness
Just received a newsletter from Innokin a short while ago. As part of it, they linked to the following Vape News article. I found it really interesting and thought others would also. The UK has already had a totally opposite view toward vaping than the powers-that-be have had here in the US. Now, the potential outlook for the future of "vaping" in the UK is even more positive.
Vaping Weekly: UK MPs Call for Progressive Approach to Vaping
Last night I seen the 1st TV commercial where a Lawyer is saying. If Vaping has caused you health problems call us. This is ridiculous, the people dying and getting sick from Vaping is caused from the Drugs they add to the juice.
I am so upset that the NEWS MEDIA is running this every day and they fail to add that in a resent poll of these deaths, illnesis, etc. 75% of the people admit they add THC to the juice and 25% admitting THC is all they vape with.
If the GOV. was getting tax revenue from all Vaping products you would have no GOV WAR ON VAPING. Its all about the FEDS loosing tax dollars and Tobacco companies loss of sales.
A silly question 'cause I'm bored.
Anyone found a juice that's not horrible after brushing, flossing and gargling?
Yeah, it's gonna vary by the hundreds of varieties of toothpaste and mouthwash. Just curious to hear your brush-vape victories and defeats.
Remember those who died for your right to brush and vape. Happy Memorial Day.

Opinion | The Ridiculous Campaign Against Vaping
Never before has a boon to public health been met with such hysteria and ingratitude.
Vaping is almost all upside in comparison with traditional smoking, a wanton destroyer of health and lives, and yet the nation is in the grips of a panic about e-cigarettes.
Hi I have a question about nicotine strength in my juice for sub-ohm vaping: I've only started vaping my tfv12 prince smok tank 4 days ago, so total newbie- used to do only mtl before that. I'm currently using Q4 coils, 0.4 ohm, vaping at 50-60 Watts: quite happy with a cooler vape, I tried them at 70-90 but slightly too warm for me, maybe in the future it will change.
Majority of the sites and youtube videos that I came across where sub-ohm vaping was discussed said that the maximum nicotine strength used when sub-ohm vaping should be 6mg/ml. So I've mixed a few juices, 70/30 vg/pg, ranging from 3-6mg nic. I noticed that I'm chain-vaping with very little nicotine hit. But i kept nicotine cravings sattisfied with my mtl device used simultanously.
Today however, I wanted to check something. I've mixed some 65/35 VG/PG liquid for my gf's smok nord pod a few days ago, with nicotine at approx. 11.5mg/ml, so I popped it into my prince tank to try it. Expected to choke on it but no- it vapes great at 60 Watts, tastes good (carnival sherbet concentrate + a little bit of strawberry cream concentrate added) nicotine hit: I can feel it, but unless I go crazy it doesn't make me nic sick.
Is this normal? Why do people recommend going max 6mg nic for sub-ohm vaping? Is it because they aren't recent ex-smokers or they never were smokers, and just use low nic liquids at their stage of vaping? Thanks

Finally an honest article on the vaping hysteria!
This is in today's Washington Post
