This is one of my favorite setups when coming from sub-ohming. The flavor is amazing and the cloudz aren't half bad either! I love how long the coils last too even at 13W!
I'm using the chromatic model with a matching chromatic tip. I'm so proud that i'd take a pic but it's too dark in here, haha.
Whenever i go out for a drink on the town with the lady, I'll see vapsters here and there with their sub-ohm setups. And here i am with my Nautilus Mini and whatever low-wattage mod I decided to pair it with.
Honestly, each day I seem to enjoy using these low wattage devices, such as the VV4 and a Nautilus Mini, more and more as opposed to my sub-ohm gear.
With my Nautilus, the flavor and throat hit is always spot on, and the vapor is nice too for what it is. I seem to be using this setup more and more lately... And when subbing, it's rare for me to get that satisfying hit, i just find myself vaping more and more to feel satisfied thus burn through a ton of juice. With a Nautilus, I get that satisfying hit right away and vape here and there.
With my sub-ohm gear, juices can be a hit or miss at times in terms of flavor and hit. But i can always count on my Nautilus Mini to give me exactly what I want each and every time.
I even bought a MVP20 at a killer price to perfectly compliment the Nautilus Mini. I wouldnt be burning through nearly as much juice, thus saving me money in the long run.
It's nice to blow crazy big clouds in public, but im starting to fall back on mimicking a standard cigarette with vaping rather than chase clouds.
Am i crazy for shying away from sub-ohming? Maybe it will be fun again after i take a break from it?
This is bad, and what's worse is I know it's bad but I can't seem to stop. I keep buying mods and tanks and juice and accessories. I've been vaping for almost a year now and for the most part I was happy with my setup (once i got past the cheap ego battery setup I had). I was rockin an MVP 2.0 and a nautilus tank. Loved every second of it. But recently the MVP threads got messed up so no tank would connect to it. So I decided to upgrade my setup and get a Sigelei 150w. Now THIS thing is amazing.
You would think since I was happy with my setup that would be enough. NOPE! I ordered an RDA (Mad Hatter) to go with the sigelei because the nautilus just wasn't fully utilizing the mod. I ordered wire, wick, ohm meter, the whole kit and kaboodle. But I also ordered an MVP 3.0 Pro for the times the sigelei batteries were dead or I just needed a smaller device. Got the MVP in today and it's amazing. I definitely love Innokin products.
That's it though, right? NOPE! I haven't even recieved my RDA yet and I was browsing the interwebs looking at forums and reviews and came across the Kanger Subtank Mini. Looks awesome. So I ordered it. But not by itself, oh no no no, I saw a kit with a Kanger Subox Mini and Subtank Mini starter kit. So I ordered it. Oh god will the impulse buying ever stop!?
Let's not get into my juice collection. I have more bottles than I know what to do with. Originally it was a handful of bottles that could sit on my desk, now I've had to rearrange my dresser so the multitude of bottles can sit up there. I have so many flavors that I love that I keep switching them around and it's driving me crazy. And everytime I see one of you post about your new favorite all day vape flavor I look into it, think it sounds amazing, and end up buying more.
Aww screw it, I love vaping. I'm sure i'll buy something else real soon. Speaking of which...I could use a new drip tip to go with my new tanks. Gotta go.
(thanks for reading my rant)
So I've had a few various egos here and there, and I've loved them. My favorite has been the Aspire CF mod I currently have with the nautilus mini. I feel like it's about time to step my game up. Kinda.
I want to get into sub ohming. It looks fun and the vapor is impressive. I'm not normally one to vape in public, but at my desk at home it'll add some more fun to vaping I think.
I just don't know where to start. I don't really want to build coils or anything like that. I'd rather go with a tank that can sub ohm. Down the line I'll start building my coils, but now I don't want too. I want to see if it's really for me first.
So my question of the topic. What are some good kits that are basically starter kits for this? I've been looking at the ego one, and the aspire cf variant. The aspire is a tad too big, so I don't really want that. And to be honest I want more of a box mod.
I'm looking to spend around 70 for everything. Anyone want to suggest me a good box mod and tank kit that'll help me sub ohm? Thanks for any help!
Hey, everyone. My gear: MVP, EVOD batteries, Mini PT3, Nautilus (new BVCs) tanks.
I want to be able to vape the dark, creamy, butterscotch, custard, and tobacco flavors that I love so much, but recently my two vape setups just taste terrible no matter what I do. I've grown sick of the sugary, fruity flavors that only seem to work in my setup and so I type this with a lip full of Copenhagen and heart full of regret (I was tobacco free for almost a month). So, what setup can you recommend so that I can get back to vaping those thick, dark juices? I will try RDAs if it is the only reliable way.
Thanks.
My main go-to setups these days are Nautilus tanks (both sizes) with 1.8ohm BVC's on mini boxes like Eleaf iStick and Heatvape Defender, but since I got the Defender and it can go down to 0.5ohm with it's 25 watts I decided to give it a go.
So I recently purchased a 22mm Peakomizer 2 Mega tank with Aspire Atlantis 0.5ohm coil and just recently tried it out around 25 watts with my favorite 70/30 vanilla flavor juice.
Now maybe this is partly to do with the tank I bought but even on the tightest airflow setting I feel like it's just too much. It seems to kind of force me to do deep straight-to-lung hits and I'm just not into the experience. I like mouth-to-lung hits focused on flavor more than anything else and I don't typically inhale too deep, for more of a smooth creamy vape. But this experience was more like harsher throaty big airy inhale and I didn't dig it.
After literally just 30 minutes of checking it out I went right back to my Nautty's with 1.8 ohm BVC's between 7.5 to 10 watts and that's a happy place for me, so I'm probably going to sell the barely touched Peakomizer 2 tank and brand new Atlantis .5 coils (looking forward to getting access to Classifieds section here soon).
But still I'm interested in other vaper's thoughts on this. I'm curious to know if sub-ohming is mainly geared toward heavy lung hits and the airy experience I had or if there are ways to do it / certain gear to use so that it's a similar experience to what I'm used to.
As always, I'm just really curious to read the opinions and experiences of others. It helps me learn something new every day!
Hello knowledgeable guys and gals of ECF!!!
I like to switch flavors a lot, perhaps a little to often. I have read here that flavors can linger within the wicking material for quite some time. So long in fact that my habit of switching flavors doesn't provide enough time to work the old flavor out entirely. I have a bunch of extra coils for my nautilus mini and my Subtank mini. For accurate flavor I will switch out a coil for a flavor change. So I essentially have a coil for each flavor.
So here is my question!
How can I properly care for, or store these coils when they are not in use? Right now I have them sitting in a little dish of water so the juice doesn't dry up and gunk them up. Will this method harm them? Can I leave them in the water for a day or so, perhaps a few days even?
Thanks for taking the time to read this! I hope I'm not damaging my coils!
Hello all,
Quick question. I just went from a kanger emow to a joy tech ego one.
I LOVE the ego one. The amount of vapor is amazing. But I am surprised about something. The taste of my favorite e liquid,(Five Pawns Queenside) tastes much better to me in the EMOW. And that is on the same voltage.. or any voltage for that matter. Don't get me wrong. The joytech flavor ( for this juice) is really good. And the vapor blows the emow away. But the flavor is just not as amazing like in the Emow.
Why would that be?..
Many thx
I was wondering if anyone was using this tank? I love my nautilus mini but wanted a bigger liq capacity and saw some good reviews of this over the nautilus. They seem to use the same coils. I don't hear much about it in this forum.
Thanks
Hi forum,
I've been a smoker for 25 yrs. 2-3 PPD of lights. 7 yrs ago I started to vape and was able to cut back to 10 analogs a day. I used KR808 with cartos and then upgraded to Ego's with cartos and later tank atomizers. Dripping was never my game. A year and a half later, I stopped vaping and went back to cigs. Why? I got tired of charging, filling, leakage, dry burnt hits, modding ...etc. And I was not getting the satisfaction I needed.
A couple of weeks ago, I thought why not give it another try. So I got my boxes of eliquid and batteries out of the closet. I was surprised that all my Egos were still working (the KR808's are all dead). What's more surprising is that the eliquid is still good after 5 or 6 yrs. The flavor is still as good as it was. And the nicotine is still there. The TH, peppery taste and the buzz are still the same. So here I am, vaping again and I already cut back my cigs use to 10-15 per day.
I wanted to check the ecig world of today. And what's better than ECF. I've been at ECF for 6-10 hrs daily for a week now. And omg what a change!! VV, VW, TC, tanks, rebuildables, Subohms, NET, WTA, mods, mods and even more mods. Amazing! Hats off to the ECF family. I don't think all these advances would've been possible without ECF. Ideas are born here.
With all these advances I'm hoping that I'll be able to quit cigs completely. But it's really confusing and I need advice from the veterans here. As to my vaping style, I inhale M2L, use 70/30 to 40/60 pg/VG most of time. I chain vape !! 24 mg is the least that works for me. 36 mg is better. I like a warm (not hot) vape. I need a good balance of vapor and flavor. I'm not into mechs, rebuildables, dripping or modding. I like hassle free setups. fill, plug and vape away.
I want 2 setups. One for work and stealth vaping. Should be smallish (Ego size), does not look ridiculous, consistant and easy to use. box is ok but should be small. It should still have options that will enhance the experience. The second setup is for use at home. maybe a high end VV VW with TC. Damn! that Sx mini looks great. /But i'll wait before throwing away $200.
Sorry for the long post. But what suggestions and tips can you give for these 2 setups?
TIA
I have a full sized Nautilus, and a mini, but I don't use them because of the concern surrounding the material in the coils. I understand that at some point, Aspire is going to be putting out all-cotton versions of the BVCs. But until that happens, I'm staying away.
I happened upon the Smok Acro 5.0 on Madvapes website, and it said its coils are compatible with the Nautilus. But I can't find any information about them. Does anyone know if the Acro coils are BVC? And what materials are used?
