I got tired of toting around my "vape box" everyday at work. (I work out of a truck, so not that big of deal) so now I've limited myself to three mods a day...today is baby box mod monday.
what's everyone else got with them today?
So I've been vaping for 2-3 years now. Mainly on a Big Baby Beast and Baby Beast. When the X Baby came out I got one but stayed with the big baby. X Baby motivated me that vaping wasn't gonna get much better than what we already had. Now after 6-9 months out of the loop, I see mesh is in. My local supply doesn't even carry X Baby coils anymore. So since I've been using the same 2 tanks for over 2 years, well it's time. I just want something better than what 2017 had to offer. I have rebuilt coils in the RTA for the Big baby. I can build basic coils. I want easy. I'm too busy to do anything past a simple mesh RTA or a new mesh sub ohm replaceable cool setup.
I like DL Vapes in the 30-50 watt range. With the Smoke stuff I've never went over 50 watts and I'm happy with that or I would need a new mod.
It would be nice to get a recommendations that the typical local supply would carry coils for
So I thought I'd share this....
Everyday on my lunch break (really a breakfast break since my shift starts at 5am and break around 10am) I enjoy a nice bowl of oatmeal and an apple. After eating I like to go out to my truck to have a vape while checking emails, FB, IG, forums, ect.
I had a particularly proper build running today and was giving the chevy a nice fogging. windows were up because it was a little chilly and after about 5-10 minutes I honestly couldnt see the steering wheel while sitting in the driver seat
I hopped out and went back to work for about an hour or so. While I was taking my morning inventory I felt a tap on my shoulder and heard a stern voice anounce my full name... a police officer to my suprise!
"Do you mind if I have a talk with you outside sir?" he asked.
"Not a problem officer," I replied a bit worried as I thought perhaps someone had hit my car in the parking lot or maybe someone I knew had gotten hurt or in trouble... Not the case however.
"Is that your truck sir?" he questioned, pointing to my truck with what looked to be a cumulonimbus still lingering on the the interior.
"Yes it is"
"You got anything in there?"
Puzzled I replied "Anything as in...?"
He raised his eyebrow and gave me a stern look. "Anything I should know about?"
I understood. "Oh you mean, like...?"
He stopped me. "well sir we had gotten a phone call earlier from a woman saying that someone might have been sitting in there smoking ....."
I loled as I handed him my work setup. (an IPV3 and the Hobo v2.1)
"Its a personal vaporizer sir." I stated still laughing quite uncontrollably.
"And what kind is this? What do you put in here?" still implying that it was drug related and possibly a '.... vaporizer'
"Its a box mod, Its for nicotine." I pulled my juice from my pocket and held it up for him to see.
He was so confused. Baffled really. Just then a second officer walked up looking even more stern.
"you know we have a k9 here. You're sure you dont have anything you;re not supposed to? you weren't smoking any .....?"
"Not at all sir. Like I have just explained and showed you, it's a vaporizer. I use it for nicotine. Haven't smoked a cigarette in a year..."
"Oh like a vape pen!?" exclaimed the second officer.
"Yes like a vape pen..."
They apologized for the mistake and walked away.
And Im just standing there, in 2015, wondering why they know what a ..... vaporizer is but not an actual PV?
Has anyone had any similar experiences with law enforcement and vaping?
Hi.
I hope this is right section to write and ask for some help.
So purchased Smok Xpriv baby kit couple months ago .
Is it normal that battery dies so quick ? I vape mostly at 45w and my day starts at 7.00 and around 13.00 the battery is dead .And I do get to vape only on my way to work (30min walk) and in launch break.
And charging takes for ages as well .Tried chargers tried charging directly from PC but no difference.
Any owners has similar issues or mine is just faulty ?
Monday 7th October
On Monday, October 7th, asking vape shops, online retailers, distributors, manufacturers, and other entities that want to see vaping survive to donate some, or even all, of their profits for the day to the AVA and CASAA. Additionally, we are asking you around the United States to support small vape businesses around the United States on October 7th by shopping at businesses participating.
Hello!
I've started to vape more than a year ago with eGo AIO e-cigarete and now the battery has almost dead. What I mean with "dead" is that it is dead while at 50% charged and I feel like it will die in a couple of days or weeks. So now I'm looking for a new vape.
I searched on the internet what would be a good vape mod and found Eleaf. It seems a lot of people enjoy and are satisfied with this brand. I also looked into SMOK mods but looking at internet reviews, they say that it is not the best mod for long use.
So in my case, I've found to choose between...
1) Eleaf Istick Pico S 100W
2) Eleaf iStick Pico 75W
I also listed these since the shop I'm going to buy include these but not sure if these mods will be any good to be in the long run.
3) SMOK SPECIES 230W & TFV8 Baby V2 Starter Kit.
4) Smok R-Kiss 200W
5) Smok X-PRIV 225W
6) VooPoo Drag 2 177W
7) VooPoo Drag Mini 117W
The question is... from what of the all listed mods should I buy? Would be good if anyone shared their own experience with these listed products.
I don't need to puff big clouds and stuff. 30-50 W is good enough for me.
I'm off and on with vaping. Today I'm trying to vape to replace cigaretts. So why am I complaining? I have less than 1/4 tank of juice, which is almost doable, but now all of a sudden my ecig is barely hitting. It never does that! Vaping is just too difficult. With cigaretts, you just flip the top and know that you are good. If not, you can stop anywhere and refill. I don't have my personal, tolarable juice mixture here with me at work, so I can refill and make this work. No, I have less than a 1/4 tank of juice to get me through more than a 12 hour day.
Sorry. everytime I give it a go to get off of cigaretts, I run into these similar issues. And it's not often that I give it a real go, so it's double frustrating. It's not like "oh well, just try again tomorrow".
Hello, I have a question about some coils i had laying around from my previous vape.
Can i put my old V8 BABY-Q2 (O.6 Ohm) in my new aegis mini cerberus tank or would this cause problems?
Thanks in advance.
I'm so damn excited to go to my 1st vape convention today. I bought my wife and myself VIP tickets to it. We get to judge on the Best Ejuice contest, so we get to try every ejuice entered. I get to see my 1st live pro and am cloud contests too. Every vendor will be giving each VIP a bottle of ejuice. It sounds like a great time and deal. It's the ArkLaTex Vape Convention in Shreveport, Louisiana.
2 short years ago today I finished off my last stinkie (a PAD on average for many, many days----more than I care to remember) and switched to full-time vaping. At the time, I was vaping some high-nic 'Vivid Vanilla' on a Blu-Cig. (Actually, it was probably a few days earlier that I realized that the Vivid Vanilla was absolutely DELISH, I KNEW at that point that I could finally quit, had no desire for a stinkie at all after some heavy vaping, and that I was SURE I was gonna dump the cigarettes once and for all, but I went a few days of dual-use to just 'ease' myself into it a bit.)
Things have changed much since then: I can run again, I can work out again, and life has improved dramatically overall. Life is DAMN GOOD! It's amazing how life can change......
Most importantly, I absolutely owe a deep debt of gratitude to all of the ECF community here, which I found in a matter of days after quitting, for unselfishly sharing their knowledge and experiences with all the terrific products, gadgets, gizmos, and juices that I continue to take in at every opportunity. I can't even begin to thank you all, explain how easy (and FUN) you have made it, or explain how much you have helped along the way. This place is simply a FANTASTIC wealth of knowledge and experience!
Here's my stats since then:
2 years (730 days)
14,600 cigarettes not smoked (that's a load of tar and chemicals......)
$5,475 not spent on cigarettes (that's conservative, better than mere pocket change, and allows for junk snacks that I DON"T buy EITHER anymore when picking up smokes at the convenience store.....)
Thanks to you all !!!!.........................
Greetings, while looking through my photo archive I found images that help show my beginning steps in vaping. I need to point out that during the work day I use losenges that I get from Costco so only smoked in the mornings before work and the afternoons after work.
Here's the first one taken July 6th 2015:
In March/April of 2015 the other half started complaining about my cigarette smoke. She had a eye issue that she found was sensitive to the smoke when returning from visiting her daughter. (she would get used to it but would complain when he first got back)
Looking to solve the problem possibly with Vaping, I picked up a Blue kit and some extra cartridges from (of all places Costco). It was not all that expensive and the batteries (or cartridges) did not last very long or put out much vapor. They did have a "coffee" flavor I did like. I continued smoking.
Next time she left for a few days with her daughter I dropped by a local vape shop and for ~$75-100 (I forget) they set me up with a iTaste CLK!, Aspire K1 (and Maxi) and 15ml of 18mg Strawberry juice. While it took 3 days to get used to the charging/refilling/exc of the setup I quit smoking with this setup. The 1.5ml tank and mere 800mah battery were the main limitations as well as "glassomizers" really did not put out much vapor.
With in a few days I'd upgrade the tank to a Nautilus mini and shortly afterwards I'd get Full sized Nautilus tanks and the Blue tube mod shown in the center. While this mod was a good match to the Nautilus tank, I grew tired of swapping 18350's so bought the other two tube mods to the right. One could take ether 2x18350's stacked or a 18650 and the Vamo v10 on the right could take a stacked set of 18350's.
By July of that year I had given up on "drop in coil" tanks (the store bought juice I was using was killing them in as little as a few days) and had decided to take the plunge into RTA's and into temperature controlled vaping.
At the time the two leaders in TC vaping was DNA and Yihi. I bought a SXMini ($200) and three different popular (at the time) tanks: Atlantis, SubtankMini and Lemo2. Two of the three could be used with factory coils or a RBA head, the Lemo2 had the unique feature of top fill. (I still use a Lemo2 today!)
Back in those days if you wanted to TC, you were going to do it with Ni200 wire. I decided I liked the 28AWG. A few weeks later I had added two more mods:
By this point in my vaping journey I was developing a few habits: I was 'marrying' a flavor with a tank, a tank with a mod and all battery charging was being done via USB port. I just cycled complete setups on two USB charge cords I had. Others liked complaining about the SXMini's battery door but I had no issue with it as I'd only used it once.
Sometime that summer (or was it fall?) I got tired of paying the outlandish juice prices and decided to make my own. Granted for YEARS I simply made 7mg or 18mg unflavored 100% VG juice but the cost savings allowed me to get dozens of different tanks and mods to play with and try out.
By April 2016 I took this image:
TC vaping had evolved from from Ni200 wire to Ti to NiFe48 and SS. Early TC mods only supported Ni200 (and some Ti) and newer ones supported SS. Mods I've bought had to have a user programmable TCR value. I've been exclusively using NiFe48 for years.
Finally by about 2019 I decided to get into vaping flavors. Knowing that RDA's or Squankers give the best flavor, I outfitted myself (Bullcity flavors) with a bunch of squankers and now have the option of vaping flavors. (many of my squankers are in my profile image)
NOTE: only one mod in the images I've shown is dead and no longer able to be in service.
These days I have mods scattered all over the house but in/for 5 main areas: morning coffee, home office, watching tv, night stand and to take with me in the car/truck.
Thats my story and journey - happy vaping!
