I've been seriously testing out all my drippers over the last 6weeks or so.
I have the marquis and the vertex v2 and the aeolus and the Veritas and plume veil.
Considering the magma is so old now compared to most of the others imo its still the best for flavour.
the vertex pushes it close as do some of the others but can any rda beat it?
would be interested in what other people think cos I'm pretty sure some people on here will think I'm insane!
Hello im looking for a RDA, I have had a shop around and I have narrowed it down to a few, the tobh atty, plume veil, magma and the dark horse dripper. I am more leaning towards the tobh atty as personally it looks the more simple to build on. I will be trying to build .5 ohm coils as that's what im using at the moment (aspire Atlantis) could you give me any advice/recommendations
Right now I have a cloupor mini and a magma and a subtank. But I'm ready to upgrade. I want to push the ohms lower and the watts up. My mini only goes to 30w but I'm looking to vape maybe 50 watts plus. So I'm thinking around a 70 or 75 watt mod and idk about a new topper. I'm thinking maybe a lemo and some kind of a new dripper. Maybe a plume veil or mutation x. Anyone have any recommendations. Btw I am on a budget.
I just got my first drippers in the mail today Doge competition and vertex v2 and I built a 1ohm micro using 28 gauge and a 0.3 ohm at 24gauge and at 50 watts(max for my mod) I find the 1.0 ohm build is way more satisfying. This is not a subohm bashing thread I loves them clouds but I have to say the performance of the 1 ohm coil is waay better... Am I just crazy or is there really no other reason to use sub ohm coils other than a mech mod or trying to get max wattage out of a 100+ watt device?
So I can't figure out were to order an authentic plume veil, or what a good website to order one from, but Iv been hearing things were the machining on them has been very poor and that's not good, but if you guys have an opinion on the best clone they have that would be great too, but I do like authentics thanks guys!
I searched long and hard for my perfect vape...and I sort of found it. I have a REO with an RM2, a dual 18650 mech, and now a SMPL mod. I also have a derringer, MXv3, hobo, and magma. I've been using the REO and drippers almost exclusively with the exception of my "morning vape" in an EVOD/eGo combo. I tried using my subtanks on my VF clone the other day and just can't seem to dial them in to taste good anymore. I either fry a coil or the juice that use to taste good in them doesn't anymore (or I can't find the sweet spot). I'm using the 0.5ohm coils in the subtanks. I run anywhere between 0.5 and 1.2 ohms in my drippers with 26g or 28g.
Did anyone else run into this problem or is it just me?

Hey guys, new to the forum, new to vaping, second thread. I have a few questions pertaining to mod clone companies, a-mod (wotofo?), infinite, tobeco. Im wanting to get a magma clone, I have a local vape shop and they sell them on sale as of this moment for $15, its made by tobeco though, are they a reputable company, do they make good things? From what I can see everyone seems to say really good things about infinite, but are these others good? They also have a Sir Lancelot copper mech mod for $30 made my a-mod, not tobeco. I wanted to go and pick these items up today, but with a little insight, any help would be appreciated, thanks!
EDIT: Yes I realize Im talking about two specific products here, that being the RDA and a mech mod, but Im really just curious about the quality and whether or not these other clone companies are reputable, so I made the decision to post this thread in 'Gerneral Vaping Discussion'.

So no mine didn't melt haha but I was wondering what the best build would be for a plume so I could prevent this? I normally go with a .3 ohm build 24 gauge 7 wrap so yeah thanks guys!
Stopped into my local B&M a couple months back and noticed they had some Hcigar RDA clones, namely the Plume Veil. Thought that was cool and figured I would pick one up sooner or later. Today was that day so I stopped by to buy one. To my surprise, most of the Hcigar stuff no longer have etched logos, including the Plume Veil. Bought one anyways for the functionality.
I have other stuff such as the Hcigar Nemesis and Hammer. Part of their intrigue comes from the etched design artwork... I was kind of bummed.
On a side note, it's my first RDA. Wound a .8 ohm coil on my first attempt with a screwdriver. Not bad for a newbie, right?
I have an LE80 with a plume veil 1.5 clone on top. My coils are at .3 ohms. Im running them between 3.7-4v a few times at 4.2. I dunno if its just the juice im using, which is very dark and kinda old. But it just doesnt taste right, kinda burnt, but im not sure if its burnning the juice or the wick, well, im pretty sure its not the wick, cus you KNOW when it burns the wick. But, what do you think?
Here are Two pics of a hybrid mod top cap I recently bought. As you can see, the positive tab on the battery is directly connected to your 510 pin or whatever it comes in contact with at the bottom of your atty.
Here is a pic of the 510 pin on the bottom of the Atlantis:
The pin simply pushes into a grommet and floats there. If the pin comes in contact with the side of the atty it will short the circuit and if left there will short the battery. Notice how close the pin is to the sides of the atty. If that grommet gets deformed in any way, that pin can touch those sidewalls and short the circuit. After screwing and unscrewing the atty on and off mods, that pin and grommet can move out of its centered position. On a hybrid mod if this atty is over tightened directly onto the positive tab of the battery, the pin can MASH down onto it, deform the grommet and touch the sidewall causing a short. Someone not aware of this with little experience has a ticking time bomb in their hands. Be safe out there.
